Taking one worshiper down, Ray was able to lead the hostages forward while Nicholas defend them from behind.

" We got the hostages let's get out of this place now" yelled Ellis as he protected Amanda from an attack.

" No one is leaving this place" said the leader of the worshiper as he launched at Ellis with his fist thrust forward.

Not expecting the leader to attack him all of a sudden, Ellis could only take a defensive stance and received the attack head on. Ellis was pushed backwards after receiving the attack and the help of his buster knuckle, he was able to reduce the power of the attack.

After stabilizing himself, Ellis felt his arms go numb and blood flow from the edge of his mouth.

" Ellis are you okay" Amanda shouted as she ran up to him.

" Apart from the little scratch I received am okay" replied Ellis as he wiped the blood from his mouth.

Amanda narrow her eyes at him before taking his arm am begin to observe. Seeing Amanda acting this way amazed Ellis since all the clans are always fighting against each other it's difficult to see a clan member showing caring for another.

Removing his arms from her grip, Ellis said I told you am fine so why do you have to be this persistent in taking a look at my arm".

" Do you take my for a fool or what, I can feel that internal organs are in complete turmoil, and you are saying you are fine" replied Amanda feeling annoyed by Ellis.

" Its nothing really, this isn't the first time that I have been fighting against a tough opponent so am used to it" said Ellis when seeing Amanda acting weird.

" Wait a minute this isn't your fight time, are you trying to get yourself killed" replied Amanda.

" Its none of your business and since when did you have to care so much about my well-being" said Ellis.

" If you can take the risk to come here and rescue me then why wouldn't I care if you are injured" replied Amanda whose eyes are already bumbling up with tears that ran down her cheeks.

" Are you crying" asked Ellis when he saw the tears going down her cheeks.

" What if I am, how did it concern you" replied Amanda as she sobered.

Walking close to her, Ellis wipe the tears from her eyes before giving her a friendly hug.

" I still can believe you would actually shed tears for a fool like me" said Ellis as he pat her back.

Amanda just rest her head on his chest while not saying a thing meanwhile Nicholas who was defending those that could not fight saw the two hugging each other, he frowned in anger before turning around to face the worshipers that are after them like leech, taking his anger on them.

" Awww what a lovely reunion but its quite unfortunate that you won't be leaving here alive. But tell you what as a passionate person I will let my men bury your bodies together after we are done killing you all" said the leader of the worshipers as he walked forward.

Turning to look at the leader with fury burning in his eyes, Ellis asked Amanda in a deep voice while still looking at the leader.

" Have you recovered by strength ".

Yes though am not at my peak but should be enough to hold my ground" replied Amanda as she stood on her own.

" That's good to hear, so how about we fight side by side this one time" said Ellis with a smile on his face.

" Sure" replied Amanda with a giggle before taking her stance.

Seeing the two ready to fight it out with him, the leader of the worshipers couldn't help but busted into laughter before saying.

" Hahaha, very funny and what makes you think that you will be able to defeat me".

Choosing to ignored him, Ellis was busy gathering energy before charging ahead of Amanda and throw a punch at the leader. Applying energy to his arm the leader easily blocked the punch before sending a kick of his own toward Ellis waist with hope of causing fatal damage to him only for his leg to hit the wind.

" Hahaha you are too slow for someone of your caliber" said Ellis with a chuckle before sending another punch and a kick at the leader only for it to be easily blocked.

Throwing a punch at Ellis which also missed its target, the leader of the worshipers said with a frown.

" You know its pointless fighting me since you won't be able to land a hit on me".

" The same could also be said to you too old man" replied Ellis with a smile on his face as he back away from the leader.

Meanwhile, Ray and the others are busy battling the other three foundation experts and the remaining followers.

" How which I knew this is how it's all going to end, I wouldn't have agreed to join you guys in this quest" said josh as he continued to defend himself from the attack of one of the expert while sending attacks at the worshipers whenever the opportunity present itself.

" Now you know why I called you a whiner and no one force you to tag along in the first place" replied Ray as he took the life of a worshiper who recklessly attack him.

" I am warning you Ray, don't make me turn around and give you a beating" said josh in rage.

" Am also okay with that but first try and end the fight with him first before thinking of doing the impossible replied Ray as he sends two wind slash at the incoming worshipers which ended them.

" Can you two knock it off and think of how to end your fight easily instead of quarreling like women" said Roland as he forces the expert that was battling with him to take a step back.

" That's what I told him earlier, but he just insisted on taking it out with me" said Ray as he ducked to avoid an attack before rolling forward and slash his sword at the stomach of his opponent.

Taking a forceful step back, the expert that was battling with him lower his head and look at his bleeding stomach before looking at Ray.

" Surprise that I manage to injury you" said Ray with a smile as he places one of his blade on his shoulder in a lazy manner.

" Hahah, nice one but are you sure you can make another hit" asked Ellis the expert with a chuckle.

" That won't be a problem and by the way I wasn't easily while fighting you earlier replied Ray before placing his blade down.

" Oh really them come then, show me what you got" said the expert as he swing his saber on the air before gesturing for Ray to come at him.

Charging forward in great momentum, Ray decided to cloak his bladed with some energy before sending a double improve wind slash at the expert. Swinging his blade before sending an energy strike in time, the expert was about to deflect the wind slash attack before charging at Ray while swinging his saber at him.

Placing his blade ahead, Ray blocked the saber attack and was kick at his stomach when he was about to send another attack. Ray was sent flying and was about to balance himself in midair before performing a backflip and land on the ground with a twisted face.

" What's the matter, is that too much for you to handle" said the expert with a smile on his face.

" It was not even close to making me moan in pain" replied Ray. As he ran forward again in an attempt to strike at the expert again Only to be sent flying one more time.

" It looks like you don't even amount to anything at all" said the expert with a chuckle.

" Wait until I wipe that smile off your face" said Ray as he struggles to get up from the fall.

" You are no match for me, and it is a waste of time if you think you can actually beat me" said the expert as he looked at Ray who is struggling to get up.

Meanwhile, the same similar situation was still going on with Ellis and Amanda. After exchanging blows with the leader for countless times with the huge gape in their cultivation, he was pinned down.
