After Ellis join up with the group, Ray begins to walk round him as he observed him. Seeing the way Ray is looking at him was beginning to feel uncomfortable.

" And why are you looking at me in that way," asked Ellis as he stares at Ray.

" I was wondering if you have something on you that is making the demon chasing you while ignoring us, replied Ray as he walked back.

" It is not that I have something on me, but it felt like I am more of a threat to it since it has not recovered it spiritual energy after coming here" said Ellis as he kept a watchful eye over the hole created by the demon.

" So do you think we can take it on" asked Ray in all seriousness.

" Am not sure and if it were up to me to decide, I will say we get out of here and come back later well-prepared with reinforcement" replied Ellis.

" Hahaha no one is living in this place alive unless I say so, said the demon with a laugh.

They all look down in the hole created by the demon only for them to see the demon sitting down on the ground as it lock it gaze at the group and with the way it is looking at them shows that it has been watching them since the beginning of their conversation.

Getting up from the ground, begin to levitate in mid-air with one of it wing being damage.

" Now you have damaged my beautiful wing, how do you plan to repay me back" asked the demon in a deep voice.

" What is beautiful about that wings of yours that can't even measure up to that of a butterfly" mocked Josh.

" Ever since I cross over to this realm, you have been getting on my nerves"' said the demon as it begin to fly towards the group.

Josh felt a cold chill run down his spine when he heard what the demon said.

Taking a step back to be standing behind the rest of the team.

" Come on guys let's get out of here now while we still can" said josh to the team as his hand which was holding the sabre were shaking in fright.

" We are not going anywhere beside this suite you better since you don't know how to control this big mouth of yours" replied Gray.

" But I only stated the fact, said josh.

Walking forward at a slow pace while dark black blood continue to drip to the floor, the demon began to massage the head of the snake

Before blurring out of their sight and in the next moment, josh felt pain in his stomach as he was sent flying and at the same time throwing up a mouthful of blood in the air before falling into the ground as he broke is leg. Roland was just about to rush in to check on how josh was faring only for Gray to hold him back.

" Are you tired of living already walking out there could only give the demon enough time to get rid of us and make sure it is secret of being a demon remain unknown to the outside word" said Gray as he tries to calm himself down.

" But josh is hurt badly, are we just going to stand and watch as he bled to death" asked Roland who couldn't believe what is teammates are saying.

" You don't have to worry about him for the now, what is more important as it is now is defending ourselves since we don't know where it would be attacking from and rushing forward is same as giving yourself up for it to just end you" replied Ellis.

Calming himself down, Roland begin to make some calculation and that's when he discovered that what the others are saying is the truth. Taking a deep breath, Roland turns to Gray as he asked.

" Now that we can't see the demon, how are we supposed to fight it"

Hearing the question that was thrown at him, Ellis replied straight away.

" Since we won't be able to point its location, the only hope we have is to keep a very keen eye over the place for any abnormality" replied Ellis to josh question.

Everyone went silent as they concentrate on the surrounding, same with Josh who just grit his teeth to endure the pain as he also focused in finding the demon. After sometimes there was no sign of movement which indicate that the demon is actually waiting for an opportunity to strike, but it won't be easy since the team of four remaining hunters had their back to each other from all angles.

Ray was just about to turn his head to another angle when he saw a ripple in the sky, not wasting any more time he sent two wind slash at where the ripple used to be only for the attack forward into the distance as it was unable to hit its target,

" What is it, were you able to find where the demon is located" asked Ellis as he saw him which is unusual unless there was something at his angle.

" I thought I had it where I wanted it, only to being late by a few seconds" replied Ray as he swapped a quick gaze at the angle where he has sent the wind slash earlier before turning away.

" Wait guy, what is the need of searching for the demon when we can easily pin it down if we really want to"said Gray as something came into his mind.

" And what makes you think we can easily find it," asked Ray with the anticipation to do battle burn in his eye.

" Have you three forgotten that the demon has sustained a serious injury in his legs, with it blood gripping all over the place finding it won't be that difficult for us"replied Gray.

" Oh my, how can I forget about the mighty demon that everyone thought they won't be able to hurt it only for two hunters that are in the foundation establishment realm could actually make them bleed.

" That was because I was bonded by some technique else you won't be able to touch my a strand of my hair" said the voice of the demon coming from all angles.

" Ain't you ashamed of yourself for facing weak cultivator and yet you are still afraid to show yourself" mock Roland who is already getting angry at how the demon is behaving.

" You saw what happened to your friend, maybe it's your turn to feel to torture, said the demon.

When Roland heard this, he stood his ground as he said back to the demon.

" Why don't you come out here this minute and say that to my face instead of hiding like a coward?

" Am sorry to disappoint you, but this is how we demons operate" replied the demon with a light laugh which echo in the room.

Roland was just about to say more words at the demon only for him to see the long tail heading towards his head at an incredible speed which was already before him but thanks to Ellis who was keeping a watchful eye around the place saw a ripple in the sky before the demon tail swing towards the team, and it was going for Roland in particular. Sending a punch at the tail, Ellis was able to punch the head of the snake making the demon scream in pain before he grab the tail tightly as he ordered the rest to go for the leader.

After its tail have be had captive by Ellis, the demon was not able to maintain the invisible mood it was using before as it struggle to get free from Ellis grip. When Roland saw the demon struggle, he chuckles as he swing his sword and land a clean cut on the arms of the demon who uses it arm as a shield to protect itself from the attack.

" Where are you going to run to now" yell Roland as he continued to slash at the demon while Gray stab with his spear from behind as the keep the demon at bay.

Since the two of them were more than enough to handle the demon for the time being, Ray went to josh who lay on the ground weakling as he gave him an advance health potion to heal his wound.

" You know how which not for the fact that we are from the same squad, I would have left you to your faith. So you better drink fast and recuperate as fast as you can before things get worst," said Ray as he handed the potion to josh.

Taking the potion, josh begin to meditate as Ray stood as guide over him and later went to the other and join the fight after he saw josh have recovered fifty percent of his strength and vitality.
