" Alright let's get the show started" said Ray with a smile on his face after doing some stretches.

" You know that am not adapted to my new strength, ain't you scared of me hurting you" asked Ellis.

" What is there to be scared of when I have a lot of potions that can bring me back to my peak. Enough already, lets see if you can really best me" replied Ray as he swing his blade before running at Ellis.

" Since you insist on sparing with me, I will just have to play with you a little while" said Ellis with a chuckle before dashing at Ray without even utilizing any of his technique.

Striking at Ellis from different angles in an incredible speed, Ray was moving forward not giving the time to attack but defend himself against the attack, Ellis was being pushed back a little before kicking the ground and move to the left in other to avoid the attack before throwing his fist forward at Ray still not using any of his technique and was just depending on his physical strength.

When Ellis throw his punch forward to clash with Ray's blade, he did not flinch for a second as he believes in his strength but before the blade and punch could clash head on, the punch made an u-turn as it knock the blade upward. Having created an opening for himself, Ellis charged forward and seeing this, Ray has to unsheathed his other blade from the scabbard to defend himself from Ellis attack.

Seeing Ray taking out his blade to fend of his attack, Ellis chuckle before saying.

" It's pointless Ray"

As he sent a punch at him again, but this time around the punch was not aiming to stop the incoming blade, but it was actually aiming for Ray while leaving himself defenceless to the blade attack.

With the punch landing accurately on Ray stomach, Ellis casually easily avoided the blade with just his robe having a slight cut as Ray moved back a little before dropping his blade on the ground as he held his stomach and grunt in pain.

" See what I mean, but luckily for you this isn't a real fight where our lives with have to depend on our strength else you won't be holding your stomach and grunt to pain as you are now" said Ellis with a smile.

" I know you are enjoying this said Ray as he got up from the ground.

" Hey I warned you beforehand, but you are the one that insisted on having spar" replied Ellis as he placed his hand behind his back like an expert.

" Enjoy the moment when you still can because I will be coming for payback," said Ray.

" Hahaha payback indeed when you are the one that want a spar" replied Ellis as he walked out of the garden.

Walking out of the garden, Ellis just remember that they have not been giving their reward for the quest.

" Did Gray say anything about the reward when I was recovering," asked Ellis.

" Yeah, he was the one distributing the reward and kept your share until you have recovered" replied Ray.

" Since its like that, then what are we waiting for, let's go claim my reward" said Ellis as he walked outside and went to the hunter guild in quick pace.

" Just look at him, after hearing that Gray is already distributing the reward he forgot to even wash up" said Ray as he shook his head before walking along.

After getting inside the guild, Ellis begin to look around the place in search of Gray but was not able to find him, walking to meet jenny who was busy attending to some paper work.

" Hey jenny" said Ellis with a smile.

" Hey Ellis, long time no see" replied jenny as she looked up to see who it was only to discover that it was Ellis.

" What is the problem with you, are you sure you are alright," asked jenny when she saw the way Ellis was smiling.

" I am doing well, and thank you for asking" replied Ellis as he took a deep breath to calm his excitement.

" Okay, if you say so. So what can I help you with this time around," asked jenny.

" What, are you now saying that it is a crime to see a friend," replied Ellis.

Jenny just rest a hand on her cheek as she rolled her eyes and stare at Ellis waiting for him to spit it out.

Seeing the way he is been looked at, Ellis surrounder with a sigh as he said.

" Have you seen Gray around the guild today".

" He was called over to the squad leader office not quite long, is anything the matter" replied jenny.

" Nothing that is as important as the reason he is been called. How did you know I came to asked of something from you," asked Ellis.

" Have you or that friend of yours ever come see if it is not for an information," replied jenny.

" About that we are really sorry, its just that we are really busy with quest for we can't even spare some time for ourselves" said Ellis.

" No problem, so how those it feels to be in a squad" asked jenny.

" It was really thrilling, who could have thought that our first quest will be so risky with the chance of escaping not being up to twenty percent" replied Ellis.

" What happened there, come-on tell me Ellis" said jenny with anticipation to hear the whole story.

Nothing holding back, Ellis started to recount the whole event to jenny including how his former was also held captive but decided to hide her identity from jenny since it will uncover who he really was.

" Wait a minute, how in the lower heaven did the key to open the demon realm portal appear here," asked jenny as she cut Ellis off when she heard about the demon.

" That's what I also don't understand, but it will have to be either the one pulling all this is still here in the lower heaven or has already left" replied Ellis.

" Hmm, this is really serious, I hope squad leader Jackson will take this case really serious" said jenny.

" And who is this Jackson you speak of," asked Ellis as he has not heard of the name before.

" This is unbelievable, how come you are a member of the Raging Dawn and you don't know the name of your squad leader," replied jenny with a light chuckle.

" What can I see, Gray never told us his name" said Ellis with an awkward laugh.

" Sorry for the interruption, do mind" asked jenny with apology as she signal him to carry on with the story.

Ellis was just about to continue with the story, but that was when Ray bash inside the guild.

" There you are, I never knew you can walk this fast" said Ray as he made his way to the two.

" How is it going jenny" said Ray.

" Am good Ray" replied jenny before turning back to Ellis.

Seeing that the two were in the middle of a discussion, Ray went to take a sit by the side as he waited for them to finish what they were talking about and occasionally jenny will turn to take a look at him like Ellis has said something bad about him.

" What must that pig said to her that is making her looking at me like that," mutter Ray.

" Hey you, you better not be saying anything bad about me to her" said Ray for Ellis to hear when jenny turn to look at him again.

" I am not saying any bad stuff about you, I am just filling her on what happened during the quest," replied Ellis.

" Oh, you should have said that. Hey jenny is better I tell you what really happened since Ellis will not be able to say much" said Ray with smile as he got up from him sit and his way to the two.

" There will be no need for that since Ellis has already told me all I need to know about the event" replied jenny with a smile.

" Are you sure he told you everything you need to know," asked Rag as he winked at Ellis by the side.

" You're better not saying anything foolish here Ray" replied Ellis in a deep voice when he knew what Ray is getting out.

Seeing the way Ellis mood has taken a turn, jenny was becoming interested in hearing what Ray have to say.

" What do you think he must be hiding," asked jenny?

" Did he told you his lover was held captive in a cottage," asked Ray while smiling at Ellis.

' What a demon you are, good thing I decided to tell her else I would be done for by this demon who is in disguise as my friend' thought to himself.

" Yes he told me about that too" replied jenny as she chuckled lightly.
