They proceed in caution to take the beast by and since it is asleep, they might have a higher chance of completing the test but when they pulled close to the area the beast was napping, they made a discovery.

"Shit that beast is way stronger than us," said Jenny with a frown.

"Wait can't you beast it," asked Ray as he turned to look at Jenny.

"If only it was in the third stage of the golden core level, I would have a chance but not the fourth stage that is just overdoing it" replied Jenny as she continues to look at the beast napping.

"Which means there is no way we are going to get past this test," said Ray with a sigh.

"I think the test is based on breaking through our limitation if I am not mistaking the beast was place here in accordance to how cultivation level" commented Ellis as he has figured it out.

"Meaning Jenny is a golden core stage 3," asked Ray with a shock on his face.

"That is correct, so how are we supposed to defeat this beast," said Jenny after answering Ray's question.

"You are the strongest in the group, so it is likely for you to face it head-on why Ellis and I attack it from the side" replied Ray as he grips his blade tightly.

"Are you insane, how am I supposed to battle that thing. It will only be a one-sided battle if I were to go toe to toe with it" said Jenny as she grits her teeth in anger.

"Ray is right Jenny, you have to hold on a little long while Ray and I look for its weak spot and attack it with our greatest move" replied Ellis as he cut Jenny off.

"But I won't be able to last long against that thing" complain Jenny.

"Stop being a crybaby and do as you were told," said Ray.

"Roar"

The beast roar all of a sudden as it woke up from its nap and stare at the three with a vicious look in its eyes.

"Take a look, now you are going to make things a little bit difficult for us now" complain, Ray, as he turned to give Jenny a side look before turning back to look at the demon.

"This is not the time to argue, let's split up. Ray takes that side while Jenny goes for it" said Ellis as he turned tail and ran to the right.

Seeing them running away, the beast roar once more as it started to give chase after Ellis, and seeing this, Jenny's anger flare as she follows the beast from behind.

"I am your opponent so face me" roar Jenny as she swings are blade at the beast from behind.

Swinging its tail the beast was able to parry Jenny's attack as it continues to give chase. Seeing the beast was after him, Ellis turns around as he smashed the ground causing it to chase before splitting into two but before the spike could come up, the beast has already jumped while avoiding being pierced by the spike.

"Shit, it was able to avoid that attack" curse Ellis as he continued to run for his life.

It won't be long before the beast would catch up to Ellis and seeing things as they were, Ray decided to go after them. Sending wind slash at the beast who doesn't even bother to turn around to see who was attacking it as it swings its tail at it.

"Claiming to be arrogant in from of me eh," said Ray with a cunning smile on his face as he begins to gather energy into his blade before swinging it out multiple times at the beast.

Seeing that more attacks are coming his way once more, the beast whips his tail out once more which was the biggest mistake he has done as an explosion took place. Taking this opportunity that was before him, Ellis begins to circulate his energy as he increased his speed and run as fast as he could while Jenny sent an energy attack at the beast who was cover in flame not even knowing if her attack were effective since they can't see what's inside the flame.

"That was a close call, now let's see how things are going to play out," said Ray with a sigh as he prepares himself for the worst.

It didn't take long before they begin to hear the beast roar as it jumps out of the flame and went for Jenny who came into sight the moment it left the flame. Clawing its claws at her after getting into the close distance with her. slashing her blade forward as she takes a turn to avoid the beast claw, the blade slash at the beast's tail which have been damage previously after Ray's flame bust hit it.

The beast roar once more as it became more furious as it opens its mouth wide open before shooting out a ball of energy out Jenny who was not expecting such an attack as she was hit squarely in her abdomen and was sent flying by the power of the blast. Spitting out mouthfuls of blood before falling on the ground. Jenny mourns in pain as she forcefully got up from the ground and took an advanced health potion that was giving to her.

"Why is it taking so long for those two to attack the beast," said Jenny to herself as her injuries begin to heal at an incredible speed.

"Hey Ellis did you see that attack just now," said Ray as he stood next to him.

"Yeah and with the way it was able to send jenny flying, I don't think we will be able to survive the attack if we were to be hit by that blast" replied Ellis.

"So should we attack it or wait until Jenny has exhausted it a little before attacking" asked Ray.

"I don't think she would be able to hold on for long until the beast runs out of energy, so we are going to act fast" replied Ellis as he continued to watch the fight

"Then where do you think the beast's weak spot is going to be" asked Ray since he doesn't have a clue.

"Usually for a beast, their vulnerable part is most likely their abdomen so that is our aim for now" replied Ellis as he scratched his knuckles buster on the hard ground.

"So when do we start with the attack," asked Ray with a smile on his face.

"Right about now" replied Ellis as he dashes out of their hiding place and went at the beast with Ray following from behind.

Seeing that the two have already on the move, Jenny wore a smile on her face as she dashes at the beast in a way to distract it from knowing of the two that were coming from behind. Seeing that the human is coming for it again even after facing an attack from it, the beast begins to shoot more blasts at Jenny who easily avoided them since she already knows that the beast will do something like that again.

"Ice scattered shot"

Yelled Jenny as a giant sword made of ice manifested in the middle air before splitting into multiple fragments as they shoot at the beast like arrows. Coiling itself together like a ball to defend itself from the attack as the mini ice swords begin to hit the beast and were not doing any damage to it but after the beast was being hit by the swords for a long time, injuries begin to appear around its body as blood begins to ooze out of the wound.

"Nice one Jenny, it thought it was the only one that could fire a cannon," said Ray as they continue to head for the beast.

"Cannon is that what you named it," asked Ellis.

"Yes because it exactly the was a cannon is been fired" replied Ray.

"By the way, ain't you going to use that blade of yours," asked Ellis as he changed the topic since he doesn't know what a cannon is and don't want to make a fool of himself.

"Not yet, since we don't know if the abdomen is its weak spot" replied Ray.

"What if it was and how the attack was not strong enough to bring it down," asked Ellis.

"Then we will have to try again" replied Ray.

"Yes we are but then you will have to be the one to confront the beast while we carry on the plan since you think it is easy," said Ellis with a crazy smile on his face.

"Okay, I will use the blade but only after making sure your attack was able to deal some damage to the beast since it drains me of my spiritual energy" commented Ray.

"No problem but make sure you are fast with it since it won't just stand still and wait for us to attack it" reply Ellis.
