Heavenly Monarch Chapter 159

Watching the man as he ran away, Ray was not very happy about the fact that Ellis would let him go just like that when if they were the ones that were in his position, he would have done worst.
"Why do you left him off just like that" asked Ray in anger as he turned to Ellis.
"I shouldn't I when we don't know him that much" replies Ellis as he barks back at Ray.
"You should have just left him to me," said Ray.
"Oh really, what if he decided to say something bad about us when we get to Azure empire and cause us trouble, what would you do then" reply Ellis.
Hearing Ellis's reasoning, Ray decided to let it go since he doesn't also have any use for the man himself. Now looking at the Azure empire in the distance Ray could feel his blood boil.
"So what is the cost of action going to be now" asked Ray as he looked at the empire.
"For now we are going to look for a place to stay as we monitor her through Jenny" reply Ellis.
"With the way you are saying it, it seems like I have already accomplished the task of being her disciple," said Jenny as she rolled her eyes at Ellis.
"I already knew it will work which is why I did not bother to prepare a backup plan" reply Ellis with a light chuckle.
"What about the plan you were talking about then," said Ray as he tried to bring Ellis back to the question at hand.
"Right about that, before Jenny set out to accomplish her task, you and I will have to go around gathering information that is going to be useful for the plan to make her into her disciple to work" reply Ellis seriously.
"I have a question though, do you think that witch will take someone like Jenny under her wings with this attitude she has" asked Ray.
"And what is wrong with my attitude Ray" replies Jenny with a frown.
"You see what I am talking about, there is no way that witch is going to take someone as cold as her as a disciple," said Ray.
"I am not cold but you are making me one and if you don't stop, I might chop your hands off with my sword" replies Jenny as she taps her scabbard.

"You can't threaten me with something like that," said Ray as he also patted his sword.
"Will you guys knock it off, here I am trying to come up with a plan for us to succeed in the quest assign to us by the guild and here you are fighting each other" yelled Ellis as he caught their attention.
Taking a deep breath to calm the anger that is boiling inside him, Ellis turns to the two as he continues with his plan.
"Now That I have your attention, let's proceed with the explanation. Jenny I want you to do as much as you can to be her apprentice while Ray, do you still have the mask with you".
"I got it right here man, do you have any use for me also" asked Ray with a smile on his face.
"You will be in charge of scouting around in search of any demon aura and report quickly to me if you discover anything that has to do with the demon" reply Ellis.
"What about you, what are you going to do then," asked Jenny.
"Well, I suppose the city will be my playing ground since if one wants to get his or her hand on information, the city is the best place for a start" reply Ellis with a smile.
"And the best place to collect information in the pub," said Ray with a saddened look on his face.
"Exactly, it is going to be a tough job for me but I am still going to try my best to get things done" reply Ellis.
"If you don't, why don't you switched with me at least it is very adventurous tracking down the demons you know," said Ray honestly since he already what is at stake here.
"Don't worry Ray, I think I can manage, and let's not forget that Ray is the only one here that knows the area here so you are more suitable for the job. and if you don't have any questions to ask, I say we move in" reply Ellis with a smile on his face.
"You must be enjoying yourself by now but let me tell you this, even at where one finds peace lays trouble," said Ray.
"Stop trying so hard to speak in parable my friend, it is just not your thing," said Ellis as he proceeded forward.

Getting through the small gate was not hard for them since they were only asked about their purpose of coming to the empire before they went in and to their surprise, they were in a tunnel instead of a small town or city.
Finally going through the tunnel, they were directly taken to the Azure empire where they went through another checkup before going in.
"That rumors are true, It is way bigger than the others," said Jenny as she began to look around her while taking in the view.
The way she was acting makes those walking past them look at her like someone who has never seen something as magnificent as the empire before.
"Hey Jenny stops playing around alright," said Ellis in a low voice.
Getting her cool back together, Jenny smiles at Ellis as she was about to say something only for Ray to interrupt her.
"I can't believe that grand places are able to move you so much that can even act like a child Jenny," said Ray with a light chuckle.
"That is exactly what you would say since you have already lived here before" replies Jenny in anger since Ray is looking down on her.
"If that is what you think, then why is Ellis not behaving like you also, or has he also live here before," asked Ray with a laugh.
"Will it kill you if you stop pissing me off?" said Jenny in anger.
"It will and you know how much I love my little life" reply Ray with a smile on his face.
"Alright guys let's head to the inn and get some rest," said Ellis who was just calm the whole time.
"I guess you are right, after the journey from the desert to the thieves town then this place. One truly needs some rest" replies Ray.
Making their way toward the inn, Ray's expression finally took a turn when did not go unnoticed by Ellis caught sight of him frowning.
"What is the problem Ray, did you discover something," asked Ellis.
"Not really, I just felt like something is wrong with this place but I can't just put my finger in it" reply Ray.
"Relax man, that is what we are here to find out ourselves," said Ellis as he pats him on the shoulder.
Ray nodded in reply as he led them to where the inn was located where they lodge a room with Jenny taking her room. The next day, Ellis and ray left the inn for the pub where they sat down for some drink and at the same time listen to the gossip between some of the men in the pub. They have been in the pub for some hours now but there has not been any important information spoken since their arrival until a man who was sitting not too far from them suddenly told his friend.
"Hey I heard the king and Placidia are about to get married and the event would be held in the holy church and everyone is invited to the event," said man #1
"I knew the king cared so much for her but who would have thought that they will be getting married " reply man #2
"It came as a shock to me too, so are you going to attend their wedding ceremony or what" asked man #1 with a smile on his face.
"Of course I will since this is the only chance I had in entering the church, who knows if I will be giving such opportunity if I were to miss this one" reply man #2
Ellis and Ray had a shocking expression on their face when they heard the news and couldn't help but look at each other in silence.
"What do you think about this" asked Ellis as he turned to Ray who knows more than he does.
"It is kind of shocking news since the king never gets involved with what that witch was doing" replies Ray.
"So you think he must have been possessed or what," asked Ellis with a serious look on his face.
"Yeah something like that, come on let's get out of here" reply Ray as he took his jar of liquor before walking out.
