"It is good that you know that my father is this furious with me because of the two of you. So if you both have a conscience you won't disclose what happened here to anyone," Jasmine said as she focused her attention on their faces.

"Promise me you won't utter a word about this to anyone," Jasmine said in a serious tone.

"We won't," the two of them chorused together.

"This is our little secret then," Jasmine said as she smiled at them. The three continued talking but not for a long time. The guys who didn't feel so comfortable after the incident that happened left the mansion a few minutes later.

"Damn that old man! How could he treat her like that? He deserves some beating for slapping Jasmine so hard like that just because he met us talking," the furious Jeff who just entered the car said in annoyance.

"Yeah, Jasmine did not deserve that slap and this is the 21st century so how could he arrange a marriage for her with some random men," Steve who was already inside the car said.

"I know we promised Jasmine not to disclose the incident to anyone but JK deserves to know all that happened today. I mean his woman has been given to some jerk so he deserves to know about this," Jeff said after he had signalled his driver to zoom off.

"Yeah, you are right about that. I almost challenged the old man when he ordered her to get married to some guy he picked," Steve said as he tightened his fist.

"JK will be very furious if he learns about this," Jeff said seriously.

The two continued talking until the car halted in front of Jackson's mansion.

Just like the two guys predicted, Jackson did not take the news lightly. He almost brought down the entire building when he learned that not only did Jasmine got slapped but was forced by her father to get married to some guy they did not know.

Because of how furious he was, he kicked the two guys out of his mansion. He afterwards waited for Jasmine to drop by at the mansion but to his greatest disappointment, Jasmine did not show up. Throughout that day, he was in a very horrible mood and all his employees in the mansion stayed far away from him.

The next day being a Sunday, Jasmine did not go to work, she spent all her time in the mansion working. Some minutes to lunch, she dressed in a floral flair gown and left the mansion. Halfway through her journey, her phone beeped. Checking whom the message was from, she stares at the picture of a guy dressed in an army uniform sent to her by her father's assistant.

"He is not bad looking after all," Jasmine said as she looked out through the window. She stares at the beautiful scenery of the city until her car halted in front of her destination.

"We are here so soon," Jasmine remarked when her driver called her attention to the fact that they had arrived. Before she stepped out of the car, she put on the black sunglasses lying just beside her on the seat. She afterwards stepped out of the white sports car in full grace. Everyone who knew Jasmine in the city knew that her favourite brand of car was a sports car. She had them in several colours and shapes.

Jasmine walked into the restaurant elegantly. Despite that she looks bewitchingly gorgeous as always, those who have seen her on many occasions could notice that something was missing. And that thing was none other than her seductive smiles which always drives men insane.

Jasmine walked around the restaurant in search of a familiar face. After walking for a while she finally saw the one she was searching for. From afar, Jasmine scrutinises the guy wearing a white shirt whose first two buttons were left undone. Although he looks like every normal guy from the glittering golden wristwatch he was wearing, she could tell that he was from a wealthy family.

After she was done examining the tall handsome guy, she approaches where he was sitting down with his legs crossed. From how levelled his hair was, one could easily guess that he was in the army.

"Hi, I am Jasmine," Jasmine said when she reached where the guy was sitting. The guy raised his head and stare at her. For some unknown reason, he did not speak to her immediately.

"I am Kai Alle...,"

"Let's just go with our first names. The atmosphere might become intense if I know about your family's background," Jasmine interrupted him in a carefree manner before she sat on the seat opposite him.

"Whatever you want, I have no objection," Kai said. His cold expression and tone made Jasmine recalled the first time she set eyes on Jackson at the bar. She subconsciously chuckled.

"What is so amusing, is it me or my hairstyle?" Kai asked curiously not understanding why the young lady suddenly smiles.

"Your hairstyle is cool. Honestly, I wasn't laughing at you but I recalled something which made me laugh so you don't have to take my action seriously," Jasmine explained. The way she talked and acted at that moment was so stiff and formal unlike how playful she always is. Everywhere went quiet afterwards. If not that other customers were talking the restaurant would have felt like a graveyard if it was just the two of them.

"Kai, let me be honest with you. My father forced me to come on the blind date. If I had a choice I wouldn't have been here. In homes like ours where the elders take the important decision I couldn't go against my father," Jasmine said her eyes focused on the guy's face just to make sure he was listening to her.

"As far as this upcoming marriage is a concern, it is against my will and as such, I would love to make a few things clear here," Jasmine said as she waited for his response. Even though he hasn't responded she continue with what she was saying.

"I don't believe in love between a man and a woman so as far as this marriage is concerned I can't offer you love like every other woman do to their husband so I wish you won't expect that from me too," Jasmine said fearlessly.

"I also dont believe in love so I wish you won't ask for my affections when we get married. I can give you everything you want except love. I am telling you this so you will know what you are getting yourself into before the elders conclude the marriage," Kai said to the delight of the lady who was previously worried that the guy her father picked would not agree with her request.

Father sure picked a man which befits me in character. I am so in love with his personality.

Jasmine thought smiling.

"That is great! I was worried that you were one of the young heirs who looks for an ideal wife who will be at their beck and call. One who will foolishly obey all their orders without voicing out her thoughts. I am not the type of lady whom when her husband tells her to strip she will hurriedly strip herself in fear but I am the kind of lady who does the ordering and not the other way around," Jasmine said honestly.

"I am none of what you have mentioned. Instead of staying at home doing such trivia things as ordering my wife around, I did rather train in the military camp. So you can be rest assured that nobody will be there to disturb your peace," Kai said in a serious tone.

So many ladies would fall at his feet just to be his wife at the expense of their wellbeing and here this lady was telling him that she doesn't need his love or care. Out of all the women he has met, he found her different.

"I am very happy that we are on the same page. If all men were like you then I, Jasmine wouldn't have had issues with them," Jasmine said smiling sweetly at him.

What an odd lady she is. I can't believe she is thrilled about this.

Kia thought as he stares at the smiling lady. The moment Kai wanted to talk, they heard a loud cough beside them. Kai and Jasmine turned to face the direction the cough came from. The bewildered look on Jasmine's face could not escape Kai's notice.

"Is he someone you know?" Kai asked suspiciously when he saw the way they were both staring at each other. Jasmine instantly turned to face Kai when she heard his question.

"Do I know him? Of course not, this is my first time meeting him," Jasmine lied without batting an eyelid.

"Really?" Kai asked in a tone that showed he did not believe her. Jackson's bewildered expression added more to his suspicions.
