"So are you alright? I hope you did not get hurt from last night incident?" Elizabeth asked in a worried tone as she examines her with her eyes.

"Maybe these words you said to me today might have been said on my sickbed had a foolish guy not blocked the daggers with his bare hands. Since last night, I haven't been able to guess what was running through his mind when he jumped in to save me. Lizzy, how could someone be so foolish to do such an absurd thing?" Jasmine asked as she stares out of the glass walls towards the location Jackson was waiting for her. The previous night incident still left her in shock.

"To you, it might sound absurd and impossible but to him, it might have been his way of protecting you. The saying that with love everything is possible is true. He might not have needed a lot of time to think like you assume. All he wanted to do was to protect the woman he loves and everything at that moment was not important," Elizabeth said as he followed Jasmine line of sight to see what had captivated her attention.

She smiled when she realised that Jasmine was staring at a tall handsome guy leaning on a black car while playing with his phone. With the guy standing in that position she could not help but admit that he looks devilishly handsome.

"Lizzy, when did you become a love expert?" Jasmine said as she brought back her stares to Elizabeth.

"And I am sorry to announce to you that he is in love with someone else? I am sure he did that out of impulse," Jasmine said as she stares out through the glass walls again.

A guy would rather sacrifice his hands than see her hurt out of impulse, how is that possible? Is Jasmine sure of what she says?

Elizabeth thought as he stares at the guy standing outside once again.

"He must be the foolish guy you talked about, right?" Elizabeth asked when she saw how keenly Jasmine was staring at the guy outside.

"How did you know about him?" Jasmine asked as she brought back her attention to Elizabeth once again.

"You keep staring at him despite that we are together and the bandage around his two palms made it so obvious. The coincidence that you will be staring at another guy with an injured guy just like the foolish guy you talked about is slim, if not impossible," Elizabeth concluded.

"This is one of the problems of having an intelligent elder sister, they are always quick at coming up with analysis," Jasmine jokes.

"So, is the foolish guy the one you like?" Elizabeth asked, her gaze focused on Jasmine's face to see what her reaction will be.

"With your men following me I am sure that you know that I have a fiancee and even though they failed to mention it, I am sure you must have heard it from father and mother or read it from the newspapers," Jasmine said. The mere thought about her relationship with Kai dampened her mood.

"Of course I know about your arranged marriage but you are the type to turn right if dad said you should turn left so I won't be surprised If you have someone you love," Elizabeth said.

"There is no better way to describe me, kudos to you big sis," Jasmine said as she smiled.

"If you...,"

"Enough talking about me Lizzy, but let's talk about you. How is your relationship with Alfred? When are you both gonna make me an aunt?" Jasmine quickly diverts her attention away from the topic of Jackson.

"After our argument three months ago we haven't spoken privately. Every day he wakes up, prepare for work and we eat breakfast before we leave for the office. We only talk to each other when necessary and each time we talk it is about an official matter. We have repeated this routine for three months," Elizabeth relayed her plights.

Since the day she argued with her husband, Alfred has been ignoring her. Despite staying in the same house they haven't had any personal discussion. She wants him to talk to her but she doesn't know how to achieve that.

"If what you said is true that means you both have not had intimacy for over three months. Wow, this is more serious than I thought," Jasmine remarked in surprise.

"Lizzy, I know that Alfred is a nice guy and a gentle husband but there is a limit to what he can take. If you keep starving him like this, he is bound to look for a lady who can satisfy him outside and you know what this means," Jasmine said in a serious tone.

"Apart from good communication, relationships need some amount of intimacy to function properly and when these two important ingredients are absent that marriage is bound to fail," Jasmine spoke like an experienced married lady. Elizabeth just stares at her wondering where she learned all this from.

"As a lady who has been groomed from childhood to be the leader of a big organization such as Avans Group, I know you are not good at apologising but I believe that if you had taken the initiative to apologise to him, he would have done the same," Jasmine concluded as she stared at Elizabeth to confirm whether she understood what she meant.

"How come you are so good at this? Where did you learn it from?" Elizabeth asked curiously.

"Have you forgotten I almost got married some years back? Just to be a good wife, I used my last savings to pay for marriage counselling without his knowledge. I know I would have been an awesome counsellor but I just choose to be the one who wrecks people's marriage," Jasmine said as she forced on a smile. The atmosphere between the siblings turned awkward after Jasmine finished speaking.

The incident which turned Jasmine into who she is now is one that her entire family will never forget in a hurry. The ugly incident did not only scarred Jasmine but it left a huge impact on their relationship as a family.
