"You, Madam Smith and Miss Jane are the only ladies who have entered this mansion since I have started working in this mansion," the chef replied before Lilian could cover up for him.

Jane? I guess that must be the lady he said he loves.

Jasmine thought as she stares at the chef.

"Hey, Ken why does it look like you have so much to tell Young Miss today? Did you perhaps drink before you come here that is why you are misbehaving?" Lilian asked with gritted teeth. She wished Jasmine was not there with them. She wouldn't have only dragged the ears of the silly guy who was the same age as her but she would have given him a piece of her mind.

"Young Miss, about what he said...,"

"Lilian, you said your boss doesn't allow you all to disturb him but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't inform him when it is meal time. With how busy he always is, I am sure he always forgets that something called food exists so it is your responsibility to make sure he eats," Jasmine quickly changed the topic. From the expression on Lilian's face, she knew that Jackson must have told them not to mention anything about the lady in her presence. Although she wants to know more about the lady, she did not want to make things difficult for her.

"Young Miss, I don't know whether boss normally eats after he leaves the mansion but all I know is that boss rarely eats when he is in the mansion. I get scolded so many times by him for always nagging him to have his meal. Not long before you started coming to the mansion to cook for him, he even deducted my salary for disturbing him to eat. Even when his mum calls his line just to remind him to have his meal he always ignored her calls to the point that she gets tired of calling," Lilian relayed in a calm tone.

"Young Miss, you might not know but you are the only one boss listens to. I don't why it is like this but he always looks forward to the days you drop by to cook for him. I guess maybe because you are his friend or because he loves the meal you prepare for him. Young Miss, I strongly believe that if you take out your time to invite him out for meals daily, he will agree," Lilian said with pleading eyes.

"You mean to say that your boss really listens to only me? Are you sure of what you have just said?" Jasmine asked doubtfully. Her expression shows that she did not believe Lilian's words.

"Young Miss, I have worked here longer than every other employee, that is to tell you that I know boss more than anyone here knows him. He might look very gentle and composed when you are around which I am sure he does that to maintain his image but the truth is that he gets easily irritated. He has a calm demeanour but none of us dares mistake his calmness for gentleness because we know him very well. If I say that boss listens to you only then I know what I am saying," Lilian said in mellowed tone.

"I am not telling you all these with an ulterior motive but because I saw that you were genuinely concerned about him. He will get furious with me if he learns that I dare to tell you all I had just said," Lilian added when she saw that Jasmine did not still believe her.

"Make sure that the chef prepares the meal properly, I will check up on your boss to make sure he is ok," Jasmine said not addressing the issue again. One of the many things Jasmine hates is thinking too much. Whenever she doesn't want to get her emotions attached, she always prevented herself from thinking deeply. She believes that knowing too much leads to emotional attachments and she hates getting emotionally attached to someone. She was only able to remain the way she is because she didn't get her emotions attached to anyone and she doesn't plan on changing this.

"I will make sure they are no mistakes," Lilian said as she watched her leave the kitchen. The moment she saw Jasmine walk away, she turned to face Ken.

"Hey, if you are tired of working here then don't drag me into your mess. I still love my job and I plan on working here for a long time so don't you dare ruin my plans ok?" Lilian warned sternly.

"If you love your work so much as you said then why were you badmouthing boss to her? Don't tell me you are planning on working for her if boss sacked us," Ken fired back sharply.

"I know you were dense but couldn't you understand my intention in saying what I did. And wait, do you think I would have told her all I did if you had kept your big mouth in check? You should be grateful that the boss removed the cameras in the kitchen for repair because I am sure today would have been the day you said goodbye to this mansion," Lilian said before she walked out of the kitchen.

"How dare he accused me, he should be grateful I was there to manage the situation. Even though the CCTV cameras were removed for repairs, I am sure nothing would have saved him from getting fired if he had indulged too many details about Miss Jane and Young Miss happened to ask boss who she was," Lilian mumbled angrily as she approached the sitting room.

"It is very obvious that boss likes the Young Miss, I wonder why he is playing a game of emotions with her. What will he do if the Young Miss ends up falling in love with someone else because of his mistake?" Ken thought aloud before he quickly continued with what he was doing.

Jasmine on reaching the bathroom door knocked on the door twice. She only entered the bathroom after receiving Jackson's response. When she entered the restroom, she met Jackson sitting inside the bubbles filled bathtub.

"You are doing quite fine. I don't think you needed my help so why did you make a fuss earlier," Jasmine wearing blue ripped jeans and an off-shoulder white shirt said as she squats close to the bathtub.

"I wasn't making a fuss but my hands hurt a lot. They became even more painful because I dipped them in water. If you don't believe me then check it? I am sure you will be wondering how I managed to use my hands when you see the state they are in right now," Jackson said as he tried to remove the bandage.

"Why are you so serious? Can't you tell that I was just kidding around?" Jasmine asked as she held his hand to prevent him from removing the bandage from his hands. Jackson turned and stare at her, from her expression ae could tell that there was a slight change in her mood.

"Jasmine, what is wrong? Did something happened in the kitchen?" Jackson said as he used his left hand and place it on her hand which was still holding onto his hands.

"Jackson, why is it that you are the first person to notice the change in my mood? I just realised that no matter how hard I try to hide my emotions you always find me out, so tell me why it is like this," Jasmine said as she stares into his eyes.

"You rarely call me by my name....,"

"Don't try to evade the question," Jasmine cut him short abruptly. Jackson just stares at her not knowing what to say. He knew that the truth wasn't what Jasmine was looking for.

"Maybe because I am good at finding people's emotions out," Jackson replied as he avoided staring into her eyes. He has managed to hide his feelings for so long.

Even he was surprised at how well he had hidden his feelings. Two months ago it was as if his feelings were gonna explode but to his greatest surprise, he managed to hide them well but right now he could see his confidence faltering. His heart was beating so rapidly like it was gonna explode and he was so scared she will see the feelings through his eyes.

"If that is the case then why can't I read your emotions? Is it that you are good at hiding emotions or that I am bad at reading people's emotions?" Jasmine asked still staring into his eyes.

"I don't know," Jackson as he raised his hand to her face. He gently straps the strands of hair that was attempting to cover her right eye. Jasmine just continues staring at him.

"Are you perhaps flirting with me?" Jasmine asked when Jackson did not bring down his hands from her face.

"I wouldn't dare. You are a queen when it comes to seducing, I will only end up becoming your prey so why would I do something so stupid?" Jackson asked playfully just to see her smile.
