Grovyle finally evolved into Sceptile after restricting his evolution for quite a while, he was trying to get good control over his energy before evolution just like Gardevoir.

Lunatone and Solrock hit behind the shattered pieces of planet model and shot their attack towards Metang.

Julian "Iron Defense"

Metang activated Iron Defense after hearing Julian as his body gets covered by a layer of steel, the Ice and Solar Beam hit Metang and sends him crashing into a planet model.

Julian "Sceptile now Magical Leaf"

While Solrock and Lunatone were busy trying to take down Metang, Julian instructed Sceptile to get behind them while they are distracted through telepathy.

Sceptile was constantly using Agility and boosting his speed while staying still and he has reached his limit.

Sceptile easily got behind Lunatone and Solrock before Tate and Liza could even warn them and launched a powerful Magical Leaf attack, Magical Leaf can never be dodged so they took the attack head-on.

They got assaulted by multiple glowing leaves which blasted them into a planet model.

Julian "Metang finish this, use Meteor Mash"

Metang shook off the ice covering his body from the previous attack and launched his self towards the planet in which Solrock and Lunatone were stuck, his body got covered with blue energy and shot towards the planet's backside while leaving a blue tail light.

Metang went straight through the planet and hit Lunatone and Solrock from behind which they were not expecting at all, they got thrown towards Sceptile once again.

Julian "Now Leaf Blade"

Since Lunatone and Solrock were in no position to counter they went straight into Sceptile's Leaf Blades, one slash for each of them and they were down.

Lunatone and Solrock fainted.

Rachel "Solrock and Lunatone are unable to battle, so the winner is the challenger and his Sceptile and Metang"

Tate and Liza didn't feel great because of losing but they did understand that they were overconfident and didn't act like a gym leader at all, this was because they were always the ones to win easily against any challenger they faced.
