The day has come to an end as Julian returned to his hotel room, he is planning to challenge the Sootopolis gym tomorrow and may go search for a Mega Stone for his pokemon, he went to sleep with Daisy.

Next day Julian woke up and got ready for his gym battle. ​​

Daisy wished him good luck and went back to sleep as she is still a little tired.

Julian walked out of his hotel and rode his bike towards the central city where the gym is located, he saw many travelers around here, most in search for Mega Stones.

Julian also saw some shops selling some fake ones as well but he didn't bother with it as it was none of his business with it.

When he reached the gym, he was surprised by how the gym looked, it looked like a royal mansion than a gym, the huge gates opened slowly as Julian closed in, he walked in to see flower beds everywhere, the grass is neatly trimmed and bushes are cut into water type pokemon sculptures.

He came in front of the huge royal looking blue and white mansion.

As he walked in he is greeted by a maid and a butler who is wearing their respective black uniform

Butler "Greetings, are you perhaps a challenger?"

Julian "Yes"

Butler "May I ask your name?"

Julian "Julian"

Butler "Julian? Ah, yes it's Master Julian, our master has been waiting for you for quite a long time"

Julian "He is waiting for me?"

Butler "Yes, please come with me I will escort you"

Julian nodded and followed the butler towards the battlefield.

Butler "Master asked me to bring you straight to the battlefield so that you don't have to wait for a gym battle"

Julian "That's considerate of him"

Julian has already realized that Juan must have found out about his existence, and he knew the gym leaders would one day know who he is as some of them already know he is in Hoenn.

As he came into the battlefield he saw a huge water battlefield with multiple small platforms on it, he saw a huge logo of the gym on the walls.

Julian 'This is really a grand Gym'

When he saw Wattson's gym he thought it was grand but compared to this gym it is nothing, he looked around and saw the door on the other side open and a middle-aged man with black hair with a white portion on his front, wearing a blue long coat walked in with his hand behind his back.

Juan "It is a pleasure to meet Sir Julian finally, I have been waiting for you for quite a long time"

Julian "Its a pleasure as well to meet the teacher of a champion"

Juan "How is your stay in Hoenn?"

Julian "It's pretty great, Hoenn is a great place to live in"

Juan "I want to ask why is the former champion of Kanto doing in Hoenn"

Julian "Well, to be honest, I am really not a champion material, I would rather travel around the world than be a champion, that is why I forfeited the title"

Juan "I see, so are you going to participate in the league?"

Julian "Indeed, while traveling battling with strong trainers is also something exciting and where can I find strong trainers other than the league"

Juan "I see, then I as a Gym leader will accept your challenge, Sir Julian"

Julian nodded and looked at Juan.

The butler who was standing behind Julian went towards the referee area and stood there.

Butler "I will be the referee for the gym battle between the challenger Sir Julian and the gym leader Juan, each trainer will use four pokemon for this battle, only the trainer is allowed to substitute during the battle, the person who doesn't have any pokemon left to battle at the end will lose"

Both Julian and Juan nodded their heads and agreed with the rules.

Julian 'A four pokemon battle, let's see who I should use'

Julian will decide which pokemon to use after he sees Juan's pokemon.

Butler "Then let the battle begin"

Juan "Here I go, come out Poliwrath"

Juan sends out his first pokemon and its a Poliwrath, a water/fighting type.

Julian "Then I choose you, Sceptile"

Julian sends out Sceptile as his first pokemon.

Juan knows Sceptile is not one of Julian's older pokemon as he still doesn't have that aura around him.

Juan "Poliwrath dive into the Water"

Hearing Juan Poliwrath jumps into the water and disappeared from Sceptile's sight.

Julian "Calm down, just feel the movements in the water, once it comes near hit it with an Energy Ball" no matter how deep Poliwrath is if it moves it will create waves in the water and Sceptile was focusing on that.

Sceptile stayed on top of the water platform and waited for Poliwrath to emerge, after few seconds Sceptile suddenly jumped and the platform beneath his feet shattered into pieces, it was Poliwrath who broke it with its punch.

Sceptile got his chance and created multiple Energy Balls and shot it towards Poliwrath, as Poliwrath is still in air it couldn't dodge it and got hit by the first Energy Ball and was blasted into the water again, the other Energy Balls exploded as the touched the surface of the water.

Juan "Poliwrath use Counter"

Poliwrath suddenly shot out of the water towards Sceptile.

Julian "Use Magical Leaf"

As Poliwrath was fast and could dodge normal attacks Julian decided to go with Magical leaf and Sceptile used it, blades of glowing Leaf assaulted Poliwrath and sent it back and dispelled its Counter.

Julian "Sceptile use Leaf Blade"

Sceptile charged towards Poliwrath and his red crescent blades shown bright red, two blades in each hand went straight towards Poliwrath, the power behind one Leaf Blade is devastating as Sceptile has two blades in one hand right now. If Poliwrath receives the attack from both the hands it's over.

Juan waited for a while for Poliwrath to recover and looked as Sceptile closed in on Poliwrath, as Sceptile was about to hit Poliwrath.

Juan "Now Counter"

Poliwrath hands glow and intercepted Sceptile's leaf blades and pushed him back while causing some damage.

Julian "Magical Leaf"

As soon as Sceptile was pushed back Julian didn't give much time and called another move.

Sceptile attacked with Magical Leaf again and it hit Poliwrath as it has no way to counter a move like Magical Leaf, it was blown away again.

Poliwrath is still in the air and cannot attack, Julian didn't let Poliwrath take even a break before calling another attack.

Julian "Finish it Leaf Storm"

Sceptile summoned a powerful Leaf Storm which shook the whole battlefield, the water turned into aggressive waves and on top of it was a huge Leaf Tornado with Poliwrath inside it getting tossed from one end to another and getting hit by multiple sharp leaves inside the storm.

The storm stopped and Poliwrath fell on a platform completely fainted.

Butler "Poliwrath is unable to battle Sceptile wins"
