Julian knew he cannot let Walrein build up that Ice Ball so he went to direct assault.

Sceptile created multiple energy balls and shot it towards Walrein, one of the Energy Ball destroyed the Ice Ball and the rest of them charged towards Walrein.

Juan "Defense Curl"

Walrein quickly rolled into a ball and a thick energy layer surrounded it, the Energy Balls hit one after the other completely depleting the thick energy surrounding Walrein body, Walrein was hit and received some damage, it was thanks to the Defense Curl that its defense rose highly.

Juan "Now use Ice Ball again"

Even though Sceptile's attack had stopped the Ice Ball from increasing its power, Ice Ball had another annoying property, after a pokemon uses Defense Curl its power doubles and the first Ice Ball carries as much power as the second Ice Ball, second Ice ball holds as much power as the third Ice Ball and it goes on.

When the Ice Ball was about to hit Sceptile, Julian instructed Sceptile to use his tail to jump and dodge the Ice Ball, Sceptile had never used his tail after he evolved into Grovyle, he didn't think much and with his powerful tail he launched himself up in the air and dodged the gigantic Ice Ball.

Sceptile came down and delivered all four blades onto Walrein sending it crashing through the ice layer and into the water.

Julian "Finish this Frenzy Plant"

Julian was training Sceptile to use Frenzy Plant and it was hard, Frenzy Plant is the strongest Grass-type move and its power is devastating.

Sceptile jumped up and sent out multiple seeds on the battlefield, into the water and the platforms on the water.

He then raised his hand and started to glow green as he is trying to perform Frenzy Plant, receiving Sceptile's energy the seeds started to react and grow into humongous root like structure with small lives hanging on them.

These roots started to move on their own and got hold of Walrein and wrapped it, while one of the roots came down towards it like a whip and whipped Walrein from the roots hold to across the battlefield and planted it into a wall.

The roots disappeared and everything went back to normal, but the battlefield is completely ruined.

Juan was surprised this time by seeing the power behind the attack was, Frenzy Plant could be one of the hardest moves to master by any grass type pokemon and Sceptile somehow pulled it off.

Sceptile is still not as good as Julian's Venusaur but with Venusaur guiding his he would one day be on par with Venusaur.
