Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 267

Julian ignored the Magmortar as it has already grown up and developed its skills by its own, adapting to Julian's training method will be very hard.
Snorlax also suffered from the same, he had developed so far from his own and Julian had to spend months training Snorlax to bring out all that dormant power that was inside him, he doesn't want to do that again because he has other pokemons to tend to as well, he cannot just focus on one pokemon.
He soon walked around the valley to cover all the parts and close into the spring, he didn't want to just go towards the spring and lose a pokemon that he might have missed.
After hours of searching, he found some promising ones but he decided to put them in his list, if he didn't find the one he is looking for he will go for them.
At the end of the day, he could still train them and make them strong.
He could feel the moistness of the ground and the humidity in the air, he could tell that the hot spring is very near.
He soon found it, and as he expected the hot spring is filled will all kinds of pokemon enjoying their time, most of them are fire types but there are also other types of pokemon as well.
He looked around and found many good pokemons that could go with his team, he saw a Magby that looked very healthy, he also saw a Charmander who seems to be very powerful as well, a Shellos which can be the tank of his team.
While he is deciding which pokemon to choose he heard large footsteps approaching the hot spring, he looked towards the direction that it is coming from.
Then the Magmortar he saw before barged in knocking down some trees and burning them with its flames and roared at the pokemons who are in the hot spring.

Seeing the Magmortar most of them got scared but stayed still and few ran away, seeing this Julian could tell that this Magmortar is a bully, it then walked towards the hot spring and kicked the Magby who was on its path.
Julian frowned and was about to step in when he noticed something unusual.
Opposite to him in the bushes, he saw two orange horns coming out of the bushes.
Julian 'What is that?'
He questioned and decided to wait, suddenly the horns disappeared, Julian got surprised as he saw a 0.3-meter tall pokemon appear right behind Magmortar.
Seeing this pokemon his eyes went wide.
Julian 'Am I just too lucky?'
He thought and tried to see what this little one is up to, it suddenly started to concentrate its psychic powers and sent the Magmortar flying through the sky again.
Julian 'It is a powerful little one but still young, it's already tired after one use of its power'
Julian looked at this pokemon as it suddenly disappeared and appeared right behind the same bush once again.
Julian 'I should give it a visit'
He slowly approached this pokemon after going around the spring.
Julian "Are you tired?"
He asked.
The little pokemon turned and looked at Julian with surprise, it didn't sense Julian's coming at all.
It started at Julian then suddenly teleported away.
Julian "Wait"
He was too late, the pokemon has disappeared.
Julian 'I cannot let go of such a great opportunity, I have to find it'
He thought and once again started to search for this pokemon, he has nothing to start with but he still wants to find it.
After looking around the whole area he found nothing, he could always catch other pokemon but after finding the pokemon that he saw, how can he concentrate on other pokemons.

He has to return back to the village and try to find out about this pokemon.
Back in the elder's house, Julian is having his dinner with the old couple.
Julian "Elder have you ever seen the mythical pokemon Victini around this area?"
Elder "Victini, ah, I remember my father telling me about our village being protected by Victinis for generations but I didn't believe, wait? did you see one today"
Julian "Yes, I saw one, it is still a young one"
Elder "Hahahaha, so my father was right, he told that there is a sacred ground where the Victinis resides, I don't know where it is, but if the Victinis really live in this valley then the sacred ground should also exist"
Julian 'Do you know anything more about them?"
Elder "My father told me that Victini always approaches a person with a brave heart, and the person who will be its trainer will never face defeat him their whole life"
Julian nodded.
He did some research after leaving the hot springs, he read the legends of Victini, there have only been four trainers in history that had a Victini with them and they were powerful trainers but that didn't mean they weren't defeated.
The legend behind Victini is that it gives its trainer an undying will to win and this will lead to his victory with his or her effort.
Elder "I remember something, when I was young my father brought me to the hot spring in the forest to give an offering to the Victinis. If the sacred ground really exists, it should be neat the hot spring. Young man if you want a Victini to come with you on your journey you have to prove yourself to it and then defeat it, for it to really submit to you and let it become your trainer.
I the past many have seen Victini, many tried to catch it, few succeeded in catching it as well but they never received its reorganization, the Victini will leave its trainer without a second thought if it thinks that its trainer is unworthy and doesn't have a brave heart"
Julian nodded.
Victini, a pokemon that seeks for a partner who has a brave and strong heart and one who always strives for victory, just the type of pokemon Julian needs.

The Oscillation (No Swearing)
It was an average day in Miami—then fractures in the sky appeared. A pulse from those cracks altered the population; some people's biology changed while others received magical and supernatural powers. After the chaos, the political drama ensued, followed by the discovery of portals that brought deadly creatures. They called this event "The Oscillation" and it changed Rachel's life forever. Note: I've received some feedback that people don't like the foul language. This also included my mother, she wanted me to make a cleaner version for her. So, I thought I might as well release it alongside the more explicit version. I went back and rewrote the parts that have profanity in them. ^_^7 Cover Commissioned From Likesac ^_^7

Re-Ordaining of the Chosen
Alea cheerfully hummed as she descended the steps, brimming in upbeat while her colleague, Quarren Leos, shot her a look of skepticism. “So… were you right about him?” he asked doubtfully. She came to a stop for a moment, her humming falling silent before she shook her head, waving her medium length light-blonde hair from side to side. “I was wrong about him.” Quarren raised an eyebrow in confusion at the convoluted response.“But you seem quite happy?” he asked again. “Because I am. But I was wrong about him. He was… so much more than I ever expected.” Alea looked at the sky overhead with a smile. “That boy… no, that man, is amazing. I firmly believe he will come to stand on top of any adversary he faces. He is destined. He is Chosen.” Quarren snorted as he stepped past, shaking his head. “Okay. Each to their own beliefs but you’re sounding like a nutjob. That skinny twig? Everyone calls him a cripple, you know,” he shook his head.“Rumours are always false, Leos,” Alea answered with a disapproving shake of her head. “You wouldn’t know. He is so, so much more.” “I saw him with my own two eyes. I didn’t see anything redeeming,” Quarren rebutted. “Well…” Alea chuckled. “You haven’t seen what I’ve seen.” In the year 917 of the Imperial Calendar, the Great War had just ended between dozens of nations.
