Gardenia took her place so did Julian as they wait for the referee, soon the same old man who asked Julian to wait here came in.

He also seems to be the referee here. ​ ​

Referee "Are you both ready"

He asked.

Julian nodded his head and so did Gardenia, as they are ready for battle.

Referee "Then let me explain the rules, this will be a three on three battle, during the battle only the challenger is allowed to switch between an ongoing battle, the trainer at the end with no pokemon left will lose, are the rules clear"

Julian and Gardenia nod their heads in confirmation.

Referee "Then you may choose your pokemons"

Gardenia "I choose Cherrim"

She sent out her first pokemon, Cherrim.

Julian "Go Victini"

Julian sent out his Victini, many wouldn't want to use their mysterious pokemon for battles. If it was before Julian might have not done that as well but now things are different, things have changed, he holds power and he wants to treat all his pokemons equally whether they are mythical, special or just normal.

Back when he had Heatran with him, he didn't use him much because he didn't want attention on him, he didn't have the power or backing of some big-name, even though he had his pokemons that were strong but they were not in their peak, they could take down 20 to 30 but if he got ambushed by hundreds in numbers it would be troublesome.

But now things are different, he has power, money, fame and his old pokemons are near their max potential, they may even breakthrough new heights so he has nothing to worry now.

He wanted all his pokemon to be treated equally, not like Heatran back in the days where he had to avoid him from the public eyes, even though he cared for Heatran as much as his other pokemons he always felt a little guilty for not bringing him out to the public.

Seeing Victini Gardenia's eyes went wide, she is seeing a Mythical pokemon in front of her, a living breathing Mythical pokemon that is Victini.

Mythical pokemons are extremely rare and people who possess them are either very good trainers or have a very pure heart, in case of Victory its trainer must possess the undying will and a brave heart.

Gardenia "A Victini"

She exclaimed and looked at Julian once again, she now took this man who is wearing a mask in front of her very seriously, she could tell Victini is young so it's not at its full potential but still to be able to catch one meant that the trainer is also exceptional.

Gardenia "I didn't think I would be so lucky today to witness a Mythical pokemon and to battle it"

Gardenia said and she carefully observed Victini.

Victini is excited for its first pokemon battle with Julian, they have trained very hard and tried to understand each other for the time they have been together.

Crystal popped out its head from Julian's pocket and mewed and cheered for Victini.

Gardenia heard this mewing but she couldn't make out the shape of Crystal as its head is covered a little by the top strap of Julian's coat pocket.

Victini looked at Crystal and showed its signature V sign with its finger stating that it will be victories.

Referee "Challenger are you ready?"

Julian "Yes"

Referee "Gym Leader are you ready?"

Gardenia "Yes"

Referee "Then, let the battle begin"

He signals the start of this battle with a double hand gesture.

Gardenia "Cherrim use Leech Seed"

Gardenia made the first move, her Cherrim sent out multiple seeds towards Victini.

Julian "Victini, use Incinerate"

Victini sent out a blast of fire and incinerated the Leech Seeds.

Gardenia "Cherrim use Tackle"

Cherrim charged towards Victini.

Julian "Use Reversal"

Victini moved away from and grabbed Cherrim and used Reversal, Reversal deals more damage the lower the opponent's health is so Cherrim didn't receive much damage.

Julian "Victini use Teleport, then Fire Punch"

Victini teleported and disappeared from its spot and suddenly appeared behind Cherrim and used Fire Punch just as Julian instructed.

Gardenia "Now use Seed Bomb"

Cherrim suddenly hit the ground with a Seed Bomb causing a big explosion causing both of them to fly back and roll on the ground.

Julian 'Interesting, she prefers can use self-damaging moves when it's necessary'

Julian "Victini, use Teleport once again"

Victini disappeared.

Gardenia "Cherrim use another Seed Bomb as soon as Victini appears"

But Victini didn't appear next to Cherrim but few meters away and blasted an Incinerate towards Cherrim, being caught off guard Cherrim got hit by Incinerate and sent flying across the battlefield.

Cherrim is seriously hurt by this fire type move, but it still gets back to its feet.

Gardenia "Cherrim lets go all out, use Solar Beam"

Cherrim started to gather up solar energy.

Julian "Use Teleport and then Fire Punch"

Since Cherrim is still gathering energy it cannot move so Victini appeared behind Cherrim and punched it with a Fire Punch and sent Cherrim flying as it crashed on the ground and suddenly the Burning effect took place and added the extra damage, Cherrim collapsed on the ground and fainted.

Referee "Cherrim is unable to battle, Victini wins".
