It's battle day and Julian is already up, Riolu, Gliscor, and Luxio are warming up, these three will be the ones who will battle Byron and his pokemons.

Knowing that the opponent is very dependent on their defense it would be a hard battle, landing hits is no problem but if the opponent just has a very hard defense it will be troubling to deal damage, Julian trained his pokemons to hit hard and this would also mean they need to put more power and energy behind their attack which would tire them sooner than before. ​ ​

As they have finished their warm-up Julian sent them back to their pokemon and headed towards the gym after he hit the road it took him half an hour as he finally arrived in front of the gym, Julian looked at the huge site in front of him, right before his eyes a huge gate separated him from a long road, he walked towards the gate and pushed it open, he then started to walk on this long road that seems to be leading to a building he could see from far, on the way he saw some statues of pokemons that were steel types, he also saw some fossil pokemon statues around and at the end of this road is the statue of Dialga.

Dialga said to be Steel type from the legends so he was not surprised to see its statue here, he then found himself in front of a weird looking gym, there are rocks on the bottom layer and the top is made of steel with two large red metal arches attached to the side.

After taking a look he walked into the gym to see what is waiting for him, the hallway is very long and cold as it is made of steel as well.

He soon arrived at the main room where he saw the gym caretaker, its an old man dressed in a butler uniform, as the old man saw Julian he nodded at him and approached him.

Butler "What is the purpose of your visit, sir?"

Julian "I am here to challenge the gym leader"

Julian said.

Butler "Ah, then you may head in, I will inform Gym Leader Byron, he will be there in a minute"

The Butler said and pointed at the way towards the battlefield, Julian nodded and walked towards the direction the butler pointed at.

Once he arrived there he finally got a clear view of the whole battlefield and he was surprised by seeing how big it actually is, its the biggest battlefield field he has seen inside a gym, the battlefield is covered with rocks containing metal oars.

Julian "I didn't expect the gym to be this big, this may turn to Gliscor's advantage"

He said and started to look around.

What Julian was most worried about was there won't be too much air for Gliscor to drift and fly but with such a big space he has nothing to worry about, he found some spots that could be used for his advantage during this battle as well.

He didn't have to wait for long as he soon heard footsteps coming from the other passage that is opposite to him, soon a middle-aged man wearing a dark brown cape, white t-shirt and grey pants with a shovel in his hand walk out of the passage and looked at Julian.

Byron "You must be the challenger huh? You should know that I won't go easy on you, you have interrupted my mining session and I need to get back to it"

Byron said and pointed his shovel at Julian.

Julian "Don't worry the battle wont last long"

Julian said.

Byron "Are you not even confident to pull his battle off, why are you even challenging me then?"

He asked.

Julian "No, you got it wrong, you will be the one who will be going down first"

Julian said.

Too bad Byron couldn't see who his opponent is right now so he has no idea what he is getting into.

Byron "I see you are very confident in your battling style, you should know I don't have too much loses when challenged for the first time, do you think you can compare to those who defeated me before, you should also know that one of them is Cynthia who is the current champion"

Byron said.

Julian "I don't think she is anyone special, I think I can defeat her as well"

Julian said.

Byron "You really are cocky aren't you? I really like to break the ones like you who are just too confident and don't know what is ahead of them"

Byron said and took his stance, he seemed very serious and is serious about being the crap out of Julian's pokemon.

Seeing this Julian smiled, what he said was indeed true, he can easily defeat Cynthia and not many people in this world can say that so a challenger just comes and claims that he can defeat the champion would really tick someone off even if they are a composed gym leader.

Byron "This will be a four on four pokemon battle, only you will be able to switch pokemon during the battle, and I think you should know the rest of the rules, its the same"

Byron said.

Julian "Ya I know"

Julian said.

Byron "Good then, get ready and see how I kick your ass"

Byron said and tossed a Pokeball, with this the battle is about to start.
