Julian arrived at Sunyshore gym once again and as he expected the battle between Ash and Volkner had already begun, when he walked in he realized that the battle was already about to end, both Ash and Volkner are at their final pokemon.

While Ash is battling along with his Pikachu, Volkner has his partner Raichu, the battle was about to end. ​​

Julian 'I didn't expect the battle was about to end so early'

He thought and sat down and watched the battle, after using several combinations and counter-attacks against Volkner's Raichu Ash's Pikachu finally got the win earning himself his eight badges, now he can participate in the upcoming league.

Even though the league is still not near, it's better to finish all the gym challenges so he can train for the league and grow even stronger.

Julian remembers that there will be a very strong opponent during the league, its been a very long time since Julian watched pokemon in his previous world, everything was hazy but there are few key things he still remembers, such as some of the legendary pokemons, and some main characters that were related to the story in some way that impacted the story a lot.

Julian 'I wonder how strong he will be once the league starts. If I remember correctly, there should be a trainer who has a Darkrai with him, I wonder how strong he is compared to Cynthia and the others, I wonder'

Julian thought, he had remembered watching a man with Darkrai who had dominated the whole league along with his Darkrai, it was only Ash who was able to take it down which led to that man revealing his second pokemon and that too was a legendary pokemon, Latios.

Julian has never fought a trainer with a legendary pokemon so he is a little excited to meet this man.

But before he does that he needs to defeat Volkner, destroy Cyrus and rescue Uxie, he felt helpless when it came to Cyrus, this man had many connections and has easily escaped.

While Julian is influential he doesn't have connections like Cyrus, he has money and strength to challenge anyone but connections were the only thing he was lacking.

The reason behind this is because he doesn't stay in a single place for a long time, to make connections he needs to settle down and slowly build relations with the influential people of this world.

Julian saw Volkner handing over a badge to Ash, Ash soon left with his friends, they didn't even notice Julian because he didn't stand out, he was at the corner watching the battle carefully, but it didn't mean he has gone unnoticed, Volkner noticed Julian sitting at the corner.

He has been handling this gym for years so he got an awareness of everything that happened here.

Volkner raised his brows as he looked at Julian in surprise, he had seen this person yesterday, he was watching Ash and Flint battle, Volkner didn't mind it yesterday as anybody was free to see a battle being held in a gym.

Not many people come twice a day to watch someone battle, so Volkner thought that this man might be a challenger as well and he was right, once Ash left Volkner saw the man looking at him.

Volkner "Are you a challenger as well?"

He asked.

Julian "I am, can you continue or should I come tomorrow?"

He asked.

Since Volkner has already battled Ash, his pokemons would be weak and not in great condition.

Volkner "I would prefer for you to come tomorrow, my pokemons need rest"

Volkner said and apologized.

He was not used to trainers challenging him one after the other so he asked Julian to come tomorrow, with his reputation, not man trainers came to challenge him, most of them would give up in the middle when challenging the gyms.

The ones who challenged him were ace trainers who understood pokemon battles and these types of trainers were very little.

This can be proven by the number of people that participate in the pokemon league, in a huge region like Sinnoh only a few hundred trainers are finally qualified to participate in the league out of the thousands that started their journey, some give up in the middle of their journey and some find other interests like pokemon contests, becoming pokemon doctors, breeders and any other occupation that is related to pokemons.

Julian decided to come tomorrow as he understood Volkner, trainers like Volkner are young so they don't have extra pokemons they could use during gym challenges, any trainers who want to challenge him right after he had a battle will have to wait.

Julian "I will come tomorrow again, I hope I can get a battle I am looking for"

Julian said and left without looking back.

Volkner "What does he mean by that, but he sounds very confident, Ash was a strong opponent and my pokemons are in bad condition right now or I would have allowed him to battle me, looks like I have to wait as well"

He said and looked at Julian who just walked out of his gym.

Volkner "I have a feeling that tomorrow's battle will be a big one, I have to prepare a strong team"

He said and walked away as well, for some reason he felt pressured in front of Julian, this feeling he hasn't felt for ages had finally come back and he wanted to see how strong this man really is.

Julian went to the nearest pokemon park and called out his pokemons since he is going to have them battle tomorrow they should warm-up.

Julian "All of you, have a mock battle with your partners and limit yourself, this is public property"

Julian said and took a seat on a bench nearby and watched him pokemon battle each other, they didn't use any powerful moves in their exchange.

Julian 'Who should I use tomorrow?'

He thought and racked up his brain, the most experienced fighter in his team is his Garchomp followed by Victini, Manaphy, and Crystal, Crystal being forth because it is busy being mischievous and attacking itself to Julian every second of the day.

Julian 'I think Togekiss, Luxray, and Gliscor will do, they need the most experienced, this battle will do, once this is done I will have some extra time to polish them as well'

He thought and nodded his head in satisfaction.
