Karrablast won his very first pokemon battle and this boosted his confidence. After losing every battle against Darumaka Karrablast didn't think too highly of himself but after battling this Pansage he realized that his friend is just ridiculously powerful and he cannot match him in strength right now.

What Karrablast doesn't know is that he was under trained for this battle, the Pansage was a much higher level pokemon than him, he won this because Julian knew what to do and when to do for him to win this battle. ​​

Julian watched as Karrablast jumped around happily after winning, he didn't want to snatch away the little one's happiness.

Julian looked at Cilan and saw him calling his Pansage back to its Pokeball, in Julian's eyes Cilan is not a great gym leader, if he had to make a list and rank the gym leaders, he will put Cilan in the last place.

This battle was very straight forward and predictable, but Julian is in no position to comment on Cilan and his ways, it was the league who chose him and his brothers as gym leaders for this city.

Since this is clearly a starting gym not many people cared about it, most trainers could get through the first four gyms in any region because they will be the easiest.

It becomes harder after the fourth gym when gym leaders bring out their all to pressure the challenger.

Julian doesn't know how the other brothers are compared to Cilan in their role as a gm leader, maybe they are stronger than him and are able to handle their challenges but it didn't matter to him at the end of the day, Julian won and it helped his Karrablast a lot.

Cilan walked towards Julian with a gym badge in his hand, this badge is very different from all the badges Julian has seen till now, this is long and slender not like those round badges Julian is used to, this badge is shaped like three diamond shapes have been combined and red, blue, and green color in the middle.

Cilan handed over the Trio badge to Julian.

Cilan "It was an honor to battle you, Sir Julian..."

He said and paused for a few seconds before looking at Julian once again.

Cilan "Actually I have a question for you"

Cilan said.

Julian "What is it?"

Julian asked curiously.

Cilan "What did you think of our battle, am I any good?"

Cilan asked.

Julian "Honestly, you were not that great, you are better than a normal trainer but not better than veterans or geniuses who are usually the gym leaders, you need a lot more to be a good gym leader"

He said without holding back, lying won't help Cilan, it will just boost his ego a little, being praised by Julian can have a negative effect on someone so Julian never praised anyone too much.

Cilan pondered on Julian's words for a little and then smiled at him.

Cilan "Thankyou, since you won against me, you can have anything from our restaurant from free for one whole day"

Cilan said.

Julian "Then I will take some things back with me"

He said and walked out of the battlefield.

When he walked out he heard a round of applause towards him, he saw everyone in the restaurant clapping at him for winning the battle, thankfully Julian's face is still covered with his mask or things would have gone completely different and Julian wouldn't have any time to pick up the delicious food from the restaurant.

After getting all his food for today's lunch Julian left, he still had a lot to do is Striaton city, he was still not done looking around, it was a very big city filled will lot of restaurants, every corner had one restaurant and every restaurant had their signature dishes.

He would even hear some people arguing about their favorite place to dine on the street, he saw many food critics walking around the street visiting one restaurant to another tasting their dishes.

Julian is not food critic but traveling to so many places and eating so many types of food made his a food lover which he never was, he still had some old habits from his previous life, like drinking a lot of coffee and he still does and now he is into food as well.

Travelling was really fun for Julian, he does come across trouble but it really didn't matter to him, he just lived his life.

Now that he is done with Striaton city he needs to find a new destination to travel and find some pokemons, he takes out his phone and sees the best way to reach Nacrene City as that is where he is heading next, to challenge the Nacrene gym and catch a pokemon on his way, he looked further into his phone to see if there is any place he could find a place to catch a good pokemon and he found a place.

Wellspring cave, many people are saying that many strong pokemons live there but not many people go inside because it is a dangerous place, the pokemon there are very rough with visitors and will attack on-sight.

Julian knew this place should be searched, its places like this where he can find a good pokemon, these types of harsh chaotic environment always have tough strong pokemons that have a lot of potentials to grow.

Julian heads back to his hotel after looking around, tomorrow he will leave Striaton city and head towards Nacrene city and on the way, he will go through Wellspring cave.
