Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 622

Julian just stood there and watched as the three Drilburs approach the Excadrill which has been knocked out, Julian didn't approach them because they might get spooked and run away.
After a while Julian decided to approach as the three Drilbur got used to his presence, seeing that Julian is not making any move made them feel secure and they approached the Excadrill to check on it.
One of them noticed Julian approaching and suddenly let out a warning to the other two, all three of them soon got in position, ready to escape if anything happens, Julian stopped and crouched down to make then feel secure.
Big beings are always threatening to little pokemons, it's their natural instinct to back off when facing against something big, by crouching down and appearing small in front of the Drilburs he made them feel less threatened.
Julian put a smile on his face and slowly made his way towards the fainted Excadrill. Since these Drilburs are young and innocent they don't know what Julian is up to, they are wary of him because he is a human and something they net for the first time, this human also knocked out their dad so they had no reason to trust Julian but the aura that was around Julian was really pleasing that attracted them.
Julian finally arrived right in front of the Excadrill and took out a healing berry juice and fed it to the fainted Excadrill, the best way to earn these Drilburs trust is to heal their dad so they won't see him as the enemy.
The fainted Excadrill gained back its consciousness and stared at Julian, it realized that Julian could have just walked away but didn't and he even helped it heal up.
Julian knew that the best way to gain the Drilbur's trust is to heal its father, seeing their father back to full health the three Drilbur rushed towards it and checked if it was okay.

Julian didn't want to rush into things, it will be hard for him to take the Drilbur away, he cannot just catch it and run away, it would definitely anger the Excadrill and who knows what it might do to a human if they were unfortunate to encounter it in the future.
Julian decided to continue forward into the cave and find the water source, pokemons are always curious species, they are as intelligent as a 3 to a 5-year-old human baby, they get curious about anything that intrigues them, seeing Julian's behavior was something new to them and they also noticed that Julian is heading deeper into the cave.
He knew some of them would follow him.
Julian turned his back and started to walk again, he didn't look back but he has a smile on his face, he could feel the Excadrill and Drilburs following him from underground.
After walking for a while Julian finally reached the water source, what was in front of him surprised him a lot, the water seems to be coming from underground but it was very clear, it sparkled as it reflected the light coming from the top.
Julian noticed something weird, there was no opening above the lake so where did the light come from, that is when he noticed crystals, they were actually acting as a medium to transfer light from outside to inside.
Julian looked at these crystals, they were glowing teal in color, Julian got curious, he has never seen crystals like this before, he could tell that they are as strong as diamonds but they also glowed teal, in his head he couldn't come up with any possible explanation.
He could see the path of light being reflected from one crystal to another, like this multiple rays of light fell on the water making it sparkle in teal color as well.

Due to the water being so clear and calm, Julian could see the light rays reflect from the surface of the water and hit the walls of the cave illuminating it completely.
This was a very beautiful area, even Victini and Crystal who were busy fooling around with each other stopped their shenanigans and took their time to admire the beautiful scenery in front of them.
Julian then took his time to look around and noticed that he is being watched by many pairs of eyes from all over the area, just as he expected this place is filled with pokemons that are strong and maybe he can find another potential pokemon other than the Drilbur from before.
He took a deep breath and took a step forward but suddenly a powerful light beam shot right towards him, Julian jumped back and looked at the ground where the beam of light hit, the beam of light actually melted the ground itself.
Julian took in a deep breath, there was clearly a pokemon that is a champion level present here but what bothered Julian the most was this attack just now, he couldn't identify what it was at all, one thing he knew clearly was that this attack was just a beam of light magnified.
It was as if someone used a massive magnifying glass and pointed all the sunlight around the area into a single point.
This was clearly a very dangerous move and he has no knowledge about it.

Trial of Champions
It all began with a family trip to an amusement park. How were any of us to expect being transported from Earth to participate in some "Trial of Champions," whatever that was supposed to be? Given only an hour to choose the Classes that would come to define our strengths, we were almost immediately torn away from one another and thrust into a deadly game of survival. It wasn't all bad, though, as terrifying as it could be from time to time. The supernatural and magical powers of the Classes were like something out of an RPG, complete with leveling up by killing monsters and completing so-called "Sub-Trials." And despite the juicy Experience to be gained from killing other Champion Contestants, not all of the participants were bloodthirsty murderers; some could be allied with, or even befriended. Even if it seemed like everyone who had been chosen for this Trial, no matter what universe they came from, was at least a little bit crazy. I would survive this till the end, and I'd make sure that my siblings and parents did as well, no matter how many times we were separated from one another. No matter how long it took. No matter what I had to do. --- A first-person litRPG incorporating classes inspired by D&D and other sources. If you like blue boxes but don't need to have huge lists of numbers to scratch your itch, you should be satisfied on that front. Each chapter is, in my word processing document, seven pages long (approximately 3300-3900 words). The Traumatizing Content warning is there because of discussions of certain topics. Nothing that I think deserves the warning actually happens in the story.
