A new day and Julian decided to train his pokemons before the battle, he needed his Roggenrola to evolve if he wants to take on the current gym as the gym leader has a fully evolved pokemon, it would be a tougher challenge for his pokemons who are tiny and have limited movement due to their small stature.

Julian decided to visit the forest nearby and train with his pokemons, with the next gym leader being a bug type user Julian decided to go with Roggenrola and Karrablast, at first he thought of using Darumaka but seeing that the gym leader has a fully evolved pokemon he changed his mind. ​​

Once he reached the forest he started to train Karrablast and Roggenrola for their upcoming battle, Julian's current goal is to make Roggenrola evolve and for that, he needs to find more pokemons for Roggenrola to battle, a forest is filled with pokemons.

Each and every one of them has their own unique way of handling themselves in the wild, some of them are more refined with their methods that others while some of them just use brute force against their opponents.

Julian is trying to find the latter of the two, since the ones who use brute force can push Roggenrola out of his comfort zone, being a physically strong pokemon he is not challenged more in terms of physic so if he encounters a pokemon that is powerful than him he might get pressured and force himself to grow stronger.

Of course Julian could make Darumaka pressure Roggenrola but he is already used to Darumaka's ways, it won't be efficient.

When it comes to Karrablast, Julian focused on improving his defense, Karrablast is the all-rounder of the ground, he has powerful physical attack power but it's not the highest, Darumaka is way ahead of everyone in that field followed by Drilbur.

And when it comes to defense Karrablast is also not the best, with Roggenrola having the highest Physical defense of the group he has an edge over everyone in the field, while Karrablast shares the same amount of physical defense with others in the group.

This, of course, makes it difficult for Karrablast to standout in the group, the only thing Karrablast is better at than his friends is his Special Attack but it is not his prime stat, it is decent but not something to boast about, it comes in use sometimes but only as a distraction or a cover-up for his powerful moves.

With this in mind, Julian decided to train Karrablast's Physical and Special Defense both and once he evolves they will become more refined and helpful, Julian knows that the evolved form of Karrablast, Escavalier, has great Physical and Special Defense with ridiculous Physical Attack.

Now that Julian looks at his current team he knows that he needs a special attacker in his team as well, all of his current pokemons are based on Physical Attackers and they will become Physical Monsters but Julian also needs one or two Special Attackers to balance his team a little.

He doesn't mind all-out physical hitters in his team but that will always put him in a position where he will have to get closer to his opponents to land any type of effective attacks, in a battle time is a very important factor, the one who can see their opponents attack coming at them has a better chance of avoiding it than the ones who can't.

Julian has some pokemons in his mind that could fill his team and surprising one of them is also a bug type, even though this is his first time interacting and training bug type pokemons, Julian didn't feel many challenges in it, he was a lot surprised by the minimum requirement that a bug type pokemons have.

Unlike other typings', most of them have fur which is hard to clean but when it comes to bug types most of them don't have any fur and they clean after themselves frequently, the easiest pokemons to take care of are bugs and water, water coming second to bug.

Bug types also seem to consume less food than other pokemons, they mostly prefer leaves from trees and fruits than self-made food by trainers.

When Julian caught Karrablast he had a hard time figuring out his diet as he would prefer leaves over Julian's handmade food, then he decided to look into what a Karrablast likes to eat and after finding out, he incorporated them into what he makes and gave them to Karrablast.

With all these ingredients being plants and vegetables they are relatively cheap compared to meat products that his other pokemons eat.

With a firm vision of how his Unova team will be Julian decided to train all his current pokemon accordingly so they maintain a perfect balance.
