Volcarona and Hydreigon started at each other and the battle started again, Hydreigon started with another barrage of Dark Pulse but Volcarona's newfound swiftness and speed were enough to dodge every single one of them.

Seeing that these attacks are not hitting Volcarona, Hydreigon realized that he has to get closer and he is not worried about it, he is still a stronger physical attacker compared to Volcarona and he has a much better defense as well. ​​

The only things Volcarona is better than Hydreigon is Special Attacks, when it comes to speed and special defense, Volcarona is just slightly better at them.

Hydreigon has still not used his speed in this battle as he had no use for it but now it seems necessary.

Hydreigon charged at Volcarona with extreme speed, seeing how fast Hydreigon was approaching, Volcarona flared his wings and made some distance, and blasted a powerful Bug Buzz.

Since its a Bug-type attack, it will be super effective against Hydreigon if this lands, seeing the incoming attack, Hydreigon moved to the side and dodged those energy waves, and continued to make his way towards Volcarona.

Volcarona blasted another Bug Buzz at Hydreigon and this time he couldn't dodge this as he got too close to Volcarona, Hydreigon has no intention to dodge and used Hyper Voice, his three mouths opened and blasted sound waves that made contact with the Bug Buzz which caused both attacks to shatter and disappear into thin air.

Hydreigon got close enough to Volcarona and swung his right arm while suing Brutal Swing, Volcarona dodged the attack by a hair inch and blasted a close-range Flamethrower which hit Hydreigon hard and sent him spinning through the air but Hydreigon stopped himself and blasted three powerful Dragon Pulse at the same time.

This time they didn't fuse together and traveled parallel to each other, Volcarona couldn't go left or right to dodge this attack, he could only go up or down, Volcarona decided to go up and dodged them.

This gave enough time for Hydreigon to make his way towards Volcarona again, he then used Hyper Voice to cover a large scale of the area to pin down Volcarona.

Seeing three massive sound waves coming towards it, Volcarona flew fast breaking the sound barrier and dodging them but Hydreigon didn't stop there and used Draco Meteor next.

Instead of the usual one energy ball, Hydreigon shot three energy balls into the sky, these three energy ball went up and exploded releasing numerous energy meteors raining down.

And along with that he sent a barrage of Dragon Pulse at Volcarona again, this combo is brutal and destructive and there is very little chance of getting out of this without getting hurt.

Volcarona tried to dodge and counter each and every one of them but he then got hit by an energy meteor and then by a Dragon Pulse, after getting hit once, he got hit again and again by the energy meteor and the Dragon Pulse which put Volcarona in a very bad shape.

Knowing his current state, Volcarona charged right towards Hydreigon with full speed, he used Hurricane to counter the rest of the energy meteors and put a stop to the destruction that they were causing.

With his swiftness, he got right behind Hydreigon and tried to use Leech Life but Hydreigon turned his head and shot a Dragon Pulse which forced Volcarona to retreat.

Volcarona stopped a few meters away and then blasted a powerful Fire Blast at Hydreigon, this Fire Blast could destroy a part of a city.

Sensing the danger from this attack, Hydreigon muscled up all his power into one powerful attack and blasted his most powerful Dragon Pulse at it, the two moves collided and caused a catastrophic explosion followed by a thunderous sound.

But the battle continued and Volcarona used this chance and used Bug Buzz and landed directly on Hydreigon's head and sent him crashing into the ground.

Hydreigon was hurt but he got back to his feet, roared, and blasted a barrage of Dark Pulse at Volcarona.

Volcarona dodged them but Hydreigon rushed towards him using Dragon Rush, a massive energy dragon covered Hydreigon and he traveled through the air, breaking through the sound barrier and took Volcarona by surprise.

The massive energy dragon shut its jaw on Volcarona and sent him crashing into the ground after the explosion occurred.

Seeing his chance, Hydreigon once again used Dragon Rush to end this battle, he broke the sound barrier again and got very close to Volcarona but before he could hit, Volcarona released another powerful Fire Blast at point-blank range.

The collision caused a massive explosion, followed by a thunderous sound and then a mighty shockwave that snapped the trees around them in half, the explosion burned that ground to crisp and left the ground shattered.

As the smoke faded away both of Julian's pokemon could be seen hovering in the air exhausted and beaten up, both of them have given their all in this battle and now they have no energy to spend.

Suddenly his Volcarona flinched and crashed on the ground and fainted, his Hydreigon slowly descended down and laid down flat on the broke ground still breathing heavily but his eyes are still open.

Hydreigon won the battle but this was a very close one, he won that exchange because he was resistant to fire and Volcarona didn't have any other move powerful enough to counter Hydreigon's, Dragon Rush.
