Everyone present in Vertress city knows that Julian is here and is very excited about it, some of them who came from other regions were also very excited about it, they want to be the one that defeats Julian and take away his title from him.

They believed that they would be the ones to take down Julian, but before that, they would have to battle each other to see who really is the strongest, some of them might get very lucky and encounter Julian in their very first battle, but that could also be their unluckiest day. ​ ​

Many think that they are the ones who will take down Julian but in reality, they are not so confident either, they have seen what Julian has done in the previous leagues he has participated in, the only ones who came close to giving Julian's one pokemon a challenge were Lance and Ash.

They studied his battling style and soon found out that he is very random, he never used the same battling style for too long, they also noticed how he would trap his opponents and play around with the battlefield depending on the pokemons present there.

The more they looked into it they realized how hard it really is to corner him, but some of them were very excited about this, just like Julian some of them are also very strong in their own ways and have never been defeated or were defeated in a very long and difficult battle against a very strong opponent.

Julian put on his usual long black coat and a mask and walked around the city to see what else is there in this city except for a lot of trainer and pokemons, luckily for Julian people didn't seem to notice him much as there were too many people here, with his hood and mask on his head and face, it was enough for him to blend in the crowd.

He went around the city and enjoyed his time here, he was impressed by the service provided by the people in charge of all the entertainment and food during this massive event.

Having watched everything, Julian made his way back to the hotel and enjoy the peace and quiet because, after today, there will be a lot of ruckuses, people will be high and loud as the league starts.

The day has finally come, even though it was quite early, everyone was very excited and it was very noisy outside, Julian woke up and rubbed his eyes and looked outside, the sky is still orange in color but the streets are already filled with people.

Julian "It's so early and people are already getting busy"

He said as he looked out of the window.

Julian "I should get ready, the opening ceremony for the league will start soon"

He said and got ready and headed out of the hotel room and directed headed towards the grand stadium, when he got there he was surprised by the number of people standing outside and waiting to rush inside and get a seat.

Luckily for Julian he doesn't need to join the crowd, he walked to the side of the grand stadium and showed his ID to the guard standing there, only trainers are allowed through this gate so they won't get trapped in the crowd and miss the opening ceremony.

The guard saw Julian's ID and bowed at him and asked him to enter, Julian nodded and walked into the grand stadium, this stadium is as big as Julian expected and it could easily fit thousands of people both inside and outside.

Julian made his way towards a room close to the battlefield to find a massive stadium filled with a crowd sitting there shouting out of their lungs and waiting for the trainers to make their way into the massive battlefield.

Julian looked at the battlefield and was surprised by how big it really was, it was bigger than the one in the Sinnoh League, it looks like the league expanded the battlefield and reinforced it better for this year's league, he just waited there for everything to start.

He didn't have to wait for long because the massive TVs around the stadium started to show a helicopter coming towards the stadium, seeing this helicopter the crowd started to cheer louder.

As the helicopter got right on top of the stadium two people looked out of the helicopter and started to wave at people down below, Julian looked through the glass window to see who these people are, he could recognize one of them as it was Officer Jenny, the other person not so much.

Suddenly these two people jumped down from the helicopter, they opened up their parachute and landed right in front of the massive torch on the top of the stadium.

Officer Jenny seems to be holding a burning torch in her hand and waved it around, the torch was burning with Moltres's flames, Julian could easily tell if they were real or not and that thing in her hand is definitely real.

The short man next to her then started to introduce himself, Julian finally remembered who this person is, this man is a very famous TV personality who is also known to host multiple TV shows and tournaments that are related to pokemon which also include pokemon concerts as well.

His name is Freddy O'Martian.

Freddy "Let's not wait any longer, let the league begin, trainers please come to the battlefield"

Freddy said and called in the trainers, soon trainers started to walk into the battlefield and as they entered, people started to cheer for them.

Julian "Let's get going then"

He said and walked out of the room and headed towards the battlefield as well.
