Few trainers from the waiting room headed out as their names were called, they seemed nervous and wondered if they will be able to win this battle, it is very clear that a trainer can only have one loss in their record, they just hope that even if they lose this would be their last loss in the league.

The first round began and the battles started, trainers battled each other and some lost, some won and some ended up in a draw. When it comes to a draw, it is a very gray area because not many battles end up in a draw, if a trainer has a draw and a loss in their record, they will have to battle again with some with the same record and if there is no one there with the same record, they will get eliminated.

The trainers who went out to battle came back as the first round ended, some of them were very happy as they won, some of them were not so happy as their first loss took place and they hoped that they won't have to lose again.

The second round was about to begin and a worker came in and called out names of the next trainers that will be participating in the second round, Julian's name was also called along with the others.

He finally got up from the couch and headed towards the battlefield, as he walked out of the entrance, the crowd went crazy seeing him, it was time for Julian to take action and people are ready for him.

He headed towards his allocated battlefield and waited for his opponent to make their way to the battlefield as well, just like Julian many trainers walked out of the entrance and took their place on their own allocated battlefield, these small battlefields were enough for a single battle and the whole stadium could fit multiple trainers simultaneously as they battle.

Julian sighed and made his way back to the waiting room and waved at his fans before disappearing into the stadium.

The boos and cheers were still mixed, the boos were for the trainer who didn't show up and the cheers were for Julian, everyone speculated that the trainer was so scared to face Julian that he didn't show up at all and it was indeed true.

When the trainer found out that he would be facing Julian in the first round, he lost all hope, he didn't want to get destroyed so he decided to skip this round and take that first loss, it doesn't matter if he shows up or not, he will lose.

The trainer decided to take the loss without battling so that his pokemons are still in their best shape for his next match, in theory, this trainer took the best option available to him, this might ruin his reputation a little but he now has a better chance of winning his next battle.
