The league was going grate and the crowd was enjoying the battles, people were already placing their bets on who will enter the top 128, of course, the best bets were Julian and other high ranking trainers but the payoff is quite less, many people studied trainers and looked for the ones that would barely make it through just one loss.

The second day of the league began and Julian made his way towards the east stadium this time as his last match will be held here, when he entered the waiting room he was surprised to see someone similar inside.

It was Trip, the kid he saw when he was in Nuvema town who battled Ash with his Snivy, even though he lost he did impress Julian, his Snivy was also a great pokemon for a starter pokemon.

Trip also saw Julian entering the waiting room along with other trainers as well, most of them felt tense and excited as they saw Julian, Trip, on the other hand, was a little excited, he wanted to meet Julian for a long time, just like any other trainer he was also a fan.

Trip walked towards Julian and looked at him.

Trip "Hello Mr. Julian"

He introduced himself.

Julian "I remember you, it's Trip right, how is that Snivy of yours?"

Julian asked and smiled.

He couldn't remember ever meeting Julian before.

He said remembering how Trip's Snivy used Leaf Storm even though it was just a beginner-level pokemon, he would have never believed it someone told him that this happened if he hadn't seen it with his own eyes.

Trip "Snivy no is a Serperior and he is doing well"

He said.

Julian "I see, I will be looking forward to seeing how it performs, you think you can reach the top 8?"

He asked, seeing so many hidden powerful trainers in the league, it would be very hard for trainers like Trip to make it through, even though he proved himself to be an exceptional trainer, the level of other trainers is very high.

Trip "I don't know but I will give it my all"

He said.

Julian "That's good, keep up that spirit and it will take you far ahead in the future"

He said and walked past Trip and took a seat on the couch and waited for the league battles to start again, soon the first round began and trainers made their way towards the stadium.

The first round of the second day ended and trainers returned back to their waiting room, some disappointed, some happy, and some a little worried as they experienced their first loss.

The second round was about to start and the trainers were called in, Trip was also in the group, Julian wished him good luck as he walked out of the waiting room.

Trip made his way into the battlefield and won again giving him his third victory, making sure that he was one of the trainers that enter the Top 128, Julian saw the Serperior in action and it used a very powerful Leaf Strom to win the battle.

He was happy to see the little Snivy grow into such a powerful Serperior but he also knew that Trip won't make it to the Top 8, the level of the trainers was too high for him in this league.

The second round was over and just like before trainers came back, some saddened that this was their last day, some happy that they won.

Trip also came back and decided to keep to himself as that was his character, he got a little excited at the beginning when he saw Julian but now he seems a little composed.

The third round began and Julian was finally called, Julian got up from the couch and stretched his arms, and headed towards the battlefield, Trip watched on the TV screen as Julian entered, he saw how the crowd received Julian.

This made his blood boil from excitement, he imagined himself in Julian's place, all these people cheering for him, to see him battle and be an undefeated champion.

Trip 'I will be like him, one day.'

He thought to himself.

Back on the battlefield, Julian waved at his fans as they screamed his name, he then walked towards his own stationed battlefield just like other trainers and saw that his opponent was already waiting for him.

"Finally, you came, I was waiting for this moment, who would have thought that the great Julian will experience his first loss before the Top 128"

Julian's opponent said while folding his arms and holding a smug look on his face, seeing his opponent Julian made a surprised face (（⊙ｏ⊙）), he didn't know where his opponent got this confidence from but he didn't mind it at all, this put a smile on his face as he took his position on the battlefield.
