Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 990

The grunt leader was regretting his decision right now, he just hoped that he will be spared by the man in front of him, he watched in fear as the man approached him.
Julian looked down on the grunt leader who is trying his best to avoid any eye contact.
Julian "Now, tell me, who are you guys and what are you after?"
Julian asked.
Grunt Leader "We are called Team Flare, and we are searching for cells from a pokemon, our boss tasked us to do so"
The Grunt answered.
Julian "Do you know which pokemon this cell belongs to?"
Julian asked.
Grunt Leader "I don't know but I suspect it is from a legendary pokemon"
The grunt answered.
Julian "I see, so who is this boss of yours?"
Julian asked.
Grunt "I don't know, I have never seen him, my ranking in the organization is pretty low so I don't have the position of power to know his identity, that is all I know, I know nothing else, please spare me"
The Grunt Leader said.
Julian was disappointed hearing this, he thought he will be able to find more about Team Flare, their boss, and about the pokemon that the cell belongs to but from the looks of it, this grunt doesn't have much information with him.
Julian decided to let the man be alone since he had nothing useful for Julian.
Julian "Get lost now"
Julian said.
The grunt didn't even waste a second before running away thanking Arceus for sparing his life.
Once Team Flare was out of his sight, Julian looked at the cell in his hand, it seems to have calmed down, and is not struggling anymore, it seems to have calmed down and latched onto his arm.
Julian now finally got a chance to carefully look at the cell, he was fascinated by this little thing in his hand, it is just a single cell, not a full pokemon but it acted like it, it has its own consciousness as well, Julian wondered what this thing is capable of if combined?

He finally put the cell inside a Pokeball and decided to continue with his journey, he will have to ask Professor Sycamore about this cell and figure out more about it.
He then continued down route 5 and finally arrived in Camphrier town, since this town doesn't have a pokemon gym, he will just stay here for a day or two before continuing towards his next destination, he also plans to catch a pokemon that can be found along the way.
When he got to Camphrier town, he was greeted by loud snoring, he was surprised to hear this because he has experienced snoring like this before, he heard the same kind of snoring but louder from his Snorlax when he got cold, Julian had to make a massive pot of hot soup to make Snorlax calm down.
He walked on the street of the town and noticed that everyone looked tired, everyone seems to be sleepy, the only ones who still seem to be active are children, though their number is small as well.
Julian followed the snoring and finally found the source of it, he saw a massive Snorlax sleeping right in the middle of the city under a small roof.
Julian was surprised by this, he never expected to see a giant sleeping Snorlax in the middle of the town, this is not a common occurrence as Snorlax tend to favor forest to sleep, not in the middle of the town
Julian "Something is wrong here"
Julian thought while looking at the sleeping Snorlax, he decided to look around and find out what is happening, he saw a few people sitting outside their house sitting on their staircase looking helplessly at Snorlax.
He approached the people as he pitied them, he could tell how hard it must have been for these people to sleep, they will fall asleep soon as their bodies will submit to exhaustion and go to sleep but before they do so he needs to speak to them.

The people who were sitting on the staircase noticed someone walking towards them, they lifted their head and looked at the young man and tried to figure out who he was, since the town is not that big, they could tell that the young man coming towards them is an outsider, a traveler.
They see a lot of travelers who go through their town so they were not surprised, they just pitied this young traveler as in their mind, he chose the wrong day to travel through their town, the Snorlax has been snoring very loudly and they cannot do anything about it.
Julian "Excuse me, but what is happening?"
Julian asked as he noticed the townspeople are looking at him.
Person 1 "It has been like this for two days now, the Snorlax has been snoring and disturbing the peace of the town and everyone is very tired"
One of them said.
Julian "I can see that, what is the reason behind this?"
Julian asked.
Person 2 "Well every once in a few months, this Snorlax comes to our town and clears out the local roots from our fields, which allows us to plant new crops, so we through a small harvest festival to thank Snorlax, this arrangement worked out for both sides but this time it looks like Snorlax won't wake up"
Julian "Why?"
Person 1 "Well, every time Snorlax eats all the roots, it comes here to sleep after being full and to wake it up, the lord of the Shabboneau Castle plays his flute, but for some reason, he doesn't want to attend this harvest festival"
He explained.
Julian finally understood what is happening, he understands Snorlax behavior better than anyone as he has been taking care of the biggest one there is, he knows how hard it is to wake up Snorlax once they are full, his Snorlax sleeps for months after having a full meal and even he struggles to wake him up with a normal method.
He could only imagine to what extent these people have to go to wake up Snorlax, but he was also intrigued by this flute playing from the lord of the castle, this was the first time he heard something about waking up a Snorlax through music.
Julian wondered why the lord doesn't want to come to the harvest festival but he was not in the position to question his choice, but he did have a method to calm down the Snorlax.
Even his Snorlax used to snore and his snores were twice as worse as this one, he once scared the whole jungle with his snores, Julian had to make special candies that helped his Snorlax breathe easily and softly without making much noise.
He took out a bottle of pill and tossed it to one of the people.
Julian "Use this, it will calm down Snorlax's snoring but you guys should figure out how to wake up Snorlax careful as it can be very dangerous when it's cranky and woken up from its slumber"
Julian warned.
The person who caught the pill bottle was a little skeptical about the pills but he decided to give it a try anyway, what could go wrong, they have already been suffering for two days now.

The Third Spire
It has been decades since the Wizardly Order rose and helped the Realm to banish the monstruos Elfey from its lands by building the Five Spires. The kingdom has prospered greatly in the time since, advancing both in the magical arts and the more mundane technology. The Wizards have grown too, gaining influence and spreading throught the Realm, Wizards' Towers dotting the landscape on many regions. But as the Realm grows and starts looking beyond its borders, the Wizards are faced with one insidious enemy inside its own borders. Master Garner, a wizard in the scarcely populated far West of the Realm, feels the situation getting out of hand, and a violent purge forces him out of his beloved Tower. The wizard takes his apprentices and allies in search of uncertain safety in the Third Spire. Some sources of inspiration for this story, for variable reasons: Riyria Chronicles, The Wandering Inn, Gentleman Bastard series. Note: First dedicated attempt at writing. I'm looking for feedback, and I will appreciate if you point out any mistakes. Updates: Tuesday, and every other Thursday, as life allows it.
