Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 1008

Julian, Professor Sycamore, Ash, and his friends made their way out of the VIP lounge and headed towards the stadium's exit where they saw a massive crowd swarming around the exit.
They all wanted to get a chance to see Diantha one last time before she leaves, Julian looked at the crowd and just shook his head, he couldn't understand these people at all, he had the same thought process in his past life as well, he never got why people idolized others.
He never idolized anyone his entire past life, and the reason was because of the cruel environment that he lived in and once he got out of the shithole, he was too old to idolize anyone.
Soon Diantha's assistant stepped up to the crowd and told them that Diantha has already left for shooting and they won't be able to see her, the crowd was disappointed and left while complaining to themselves.
Ash and his friends also bid their farewell as they wanted to try one of those delicious cakes that could be found in the town, once Julian watched Ash and his friend leave, he looked at Professor Sycamore.
Julian "Professor Sycamore, let's go somewhere private and talk"
Sycamore "Sure, let's go"
Sycamore said and guided Julian to his own private quarters here in the town, once they were in Julian sat down and Sycamore gave him a cup of coffee to drink and sat down as well.
Sycamore "So what's this thing you wanted to talk about?"
He asked and took a seat as well.
Julian took out a Pokeball and released the weird-looking cell on the table for Sycamore to see, as soon as Sycamore laid his eyes on the squishy green-looking thing, his eyes popped wide open in shock.
He is clearly stunned by what he is seeing, seeing his reaction Julian understood that he found something very rare for even Sycamore.

Julian "Do you know what this is?"
He asked.
Sycamore "I can't believe I am seeing this!"
He exclaimed and got close to the cell which suddenly panicked and turned on its camouflage and disappeared right in front of Sycamore.
Sycamore "Where did it go?"
He asked and started to search for it everywhere by turning his head left and right.
Julian "It's right here, don't worry"
Julian said and picked up the cell from the table and placed it on top of his hand, it reappeared on his hand and Sycamore was able to see it again.
Sycamore "Where did you find it?"
He asked.
Julian "In a forest close to Camphrier town, some goons called Team Flare were trying to find it as well, do you know what this is?"
He asked again.
Sycamore "At first I believed it to be a myth but now I am certain, this is a Zygarde cell"
He said with a very serious face.
Julian "Zygarde cell?"
Sycamore "Yes Zygarde cell, Zygarde is a legendary pokemon talked about in myths that see over Kalos and keep the ecosystem in check. If someone or something tries to disrupt the ecosystem, it is said to appear and destroy it.
I thought it was all a myth, just a hoax created by the people in the past to prevent people from destroying their own world but it doesn't seem like a hoax at all"
Sycamore said, still fascinated by the single cell in front of him.
Julian "A part of a legendary pokemon huh? Interesting"
Julian said with a smile and looked at the flat cell which laid effortlessly on his palm.
Julian "Do you know anything else about this thing?"
Julian asked.
Sycamore "From what I have read, this one just seems to be a cell, not a core"

Julian "How are they different?"
Sycamore "If I remember correctly, Zygarde has many different cells of which five are core cells which should act as the brain of the pokemon, and the rest will transform into its body"
Julian "I see, anything else?"
Sycamore "No, I don't have anything else on Zygarde, the information I have come from stories written about Zygarde, there have never been any Zygarde sightings nor have people found any writings about it in ancient monuments or artifacts.
Just words passed down from generation, that is why I always believed it to be a myth and nothing else, but this thing on top of your hand is exactly like the Zygarde cells described in those stories"
Sycamore said.
Julian "These stories, where can I find them?"
Sycamore "You can find many copies of it online"
Julian "Thankyou"
Julian thanked him, now he knows a little more about this little thing.
Sycamore "By the way, I can keep this one under observation, maybe I can learn more about it"
Sycamore said.
Hearing him, Julian pondered over this, if he gives this cell to Sycamore, he might be able to find a few things about it but it could also lead to disaster. If Team Flare was about to track it down in a forest, what is stopping them from finding it in Sycamore's lab?
This will put him and anyone around him in danger and he still doesn't know to what extent this cell can cause harm.
Julian "Sorry but I cannot do that, its best to keep this one under my care, as I said some people are looking for it and it can be very dangerous, it's safer in my hands"
Julian said.
Sycamore "I understand"
Julian "By the way, do you know anything about Team Flare?"
Julian asked.
Sycamore "I do not, I mostly spend my time inside by lab studying and researching, maybe you should ask an official at the police station, they might be able to tell you something about them"
He suggested.
Julian "Good idea"
Julian agreed as well, he sent the Zygarde cell back to the Pokeball and put it away for now.
