Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 1022

Once both Julian and Gurkinn made their way out of the gym, they looked at each other, Gurkinn didn't say anything for a few seconds before finally speaking out his thoughts.
Gurkinn "I didn't expect you to call out her flaws"
Julian "Well, if she wants to be a good gym leader, she needs to know how to be one, and from seeing how she is doing right now, it's not possible"
Gurkinn "I don't know if she will listen to you, I tried to tell her about this many times but she just brushes it away"
Julian "Don't worry, she will listen this time, today she got humiliated inside her own gym by some random trainer, I don't think she will brush it off, at the end of the day, she is a prideful teenager"
Julian answered.
Gurkinn just smiled at Julian's response, if what Julian said is true then he will be waiting for the day when his granddaughter will finally mature up and take her job seriously.
Julian "Also, don't reveal my identity to her till she figures out how to be a good gym leader, let that sour taste stay inside her. If she figures out who she lost to she might not work hard enough"
Gurkinn "I understand"
Gurkinn nodded. He knew how to handle stuff like this.
Julian then bid his farewell and left the gym and headed back to his hotel room, today was a successful day for him, he won his gym battle and his Skrelp got a lot of experience, he usually didn't do a full sweep because he wanted his pokemons to get more experience but his Floetle already has a lot of it under her compared to the new pokemons in his team.
Sitting inside his hotel room, Julian looked at the Kalos region map and tried to know a little more about his next destination, which is Coumarine City.

The city doesn't have anything that caught Julian's attention except the Coumarine gym and its gym leader, an old grass-type veteran.
He figured out that his journey to Coumarine city will be a long one as route 12 seems to be very long, luckily for him, there are many small towns on the way which he can use to rest and restock his supplies if they run out.
Once everything was settled, he didn't spend too much time in Shalour City, he left the city bright early in the morning the next day, it was a very long journey, after crossing the bridge that connects Shalour city to land, he directly entered a very dense forest.
He didn't find any pokemon that caught his interest in these parts of the forest, he passed through few small towns and rested in one of them.
After crossing the dense forest, he was greeted by a massive river whose current was very powerful, one would not be able to cross this river by any means possible, boats would be completely useless.
Luckily the bridge is still there which he can use to cross the powerful river. While crossing he wondered how terrifying the river would really get during the rainy season, he knew that even the bridge he is walking on right now would be blasted by the water currents during the rainy season.
Once he was done crossing the river he was greeted by another dense jungle, bigger than the previous one, once again, he had to camp in the forest, he spent some time looking for pokemons but it was of no use.
He couldn't find any pokemon that was good enough for him.
On his way, he decided to rest for a night inside a small village, the people of this village were very welcoming, the village leader even let Julian stay inside his house.

During the night when they were having their dinner, the village leader told him about a very mysterious place that caught Julian's attention.
The village elder told him about this place called the Grace Tower and there have been rumors going around that the Grace Tower is a landing site for UFOs.
When Julian heard this, he knew he had to check it out, it could be a rumor but Julian knew one thing, he could never miss anything related to things that come from outer space, the Pokemon Universe is very unique and everything Julian has encountered extraterritorial things, they have all been unique.
Julian decided to give this tower and visit after he heads back on road.
The next day, Julian hit the road again, this time he was in no rush to reach Coumarine city now, he wanted to check this Grace Tower first before heading there.
Julian traveled for two days before he was finally able to see the grace tower from far away, he looked at the massive weirdly shaped tower in front of him and was impressed.
It was clearly not a man-made tower and it was very unique in shape to be created naturally.
As Julian got close he realized that this tower might actually be a dead volcano, once he got close to the dead volcano he put his bike away and looked at it from the bottom, the rocks around the tower were clearly made from molten lava as Julian took notice of its pattern.
And now he is interested to see what really is on top of the dead volcano.

I hope you will enjoy it and help me make it better! I try to keep my chapter lenghts between 1,500-2,500 words The story will follow Silika, the young daughter of an aristocratic count who becomes handicapped and must adapt to a world not designed for people in her situation. She will have to struggle through her disability, religion, family, abuse, trauma and politics. The world will not be kind to her, but she will find her place. The tone is a bit darker at times in this story, but not in 'edgy' or 'grimdark' way. They reflect the main character's struggles.
