The Charmander clearly has a very strong personality and is arrogant, Julian could tell by the look in its eyes, while Brian seems to be very timid, when Charmander evolves into a Charizard they will be very hard to control and this little fellow here already seems to be very arrogant in nature.

If Brian chooses Charmander, he might be in big trouble.

Julian watched as Brian made his way towards the three pokemon, he looked at Charmander with excitement in his eyes, a shiny pokemon is very rare and everyone knows that shiny pokemon are a little stronger compared to normal ones.

Julian saw this and was glad for Brian, if Charmander had decided to go with Brian, it could have been a disaster, he just watched as the dejected Brian move towards the other two pokemons, he didn't expect Charmander to actually reject him, his only option now is Squirtle and Bulbasaur.

The two pokemons looked at him and he looked back at them, he then suddenly felt a connection between one of them, Brian focused on Squirtle and picked it up in his arms.

With all four new trainers with new pokemons by their side, they were ready to start their own pokemon journey, the four then decided to memorialize this day by taking a photo with Julian and his Infernape along with their new pokemon, Julian didn't reject the offer and took a photo with them.

Professor Sycamore then stepped in and handed over six pokeballs along with Pokedex to each of them and gave them his best of luck.

The young trainers left leaving Julian, Sycamore, Sophie, and the other two unchosen pokemon behind, while Julian looked at the disappearing figure of the four young trainers, the Charmander who is on the table was attracted by Infernape standing beside Julian.

It could sense the unimaginable power in those very calm flames, it also wanted to have such a commanding presence just like this Infernape, it then looked at the trainer next to the Infernape.

This tall human also had a very dominating presence surrounding him, its instinct told it to follow this man and it will achieve great things, it jumped off the table and walked towards Julian, Professor Sycamore, and Sophie were surprised as they saw the Charmander nudging on Julian's pants.

They knew this Charmander very well, it had rejected every trainer that wanted to take it along with them, it was even more stubborn than Ash's Froakie, Ash's Froakie wouldn't outright reject a trainer but this Charmander would.

Every time a trainer wanted to take it, it would either turn its head away or scare them by using Ember, but now it went and nudge Julian's pants on its own.

Julian turned his head and looked at the little Charmander who is nudging his pants, as soon as it got Julian's attention, it climbed the table again and grabbed its Pokeball on its own, and pointed it towards Julian.

Seeing this Julian was surprised, he hasn't even done anything and this Charmander wants to be his pokemon, this came as a surprise not only to him but to Sycamore and Sophie as well.

Julian "Professor, can I take this little one with me?"

He turned towards Professor Sycamore and asked.

Sycamore "Who am I to say no, since Charmander wants to go with you then I cannot refuse, and I don't believe any other trainer can meet his expectations"

Julian "So he's a boy huh"

Julian said and approached Charmander and took the Pokeball from his hand.

Julian "From now on there will be a huge burden on your shoulder, you will have to work a lot harder to catch up to the rest"

Charmander didn't know what Julian meant by catching up to the rest but he is prepared to train hard, a trainer who can train such a strong pokemon as Infernape will, of course, be very beneficial to him, this is his mindset.
