Elena ignored Anna's sharp gaze and walked into Brian's room.

"Morning," said Elena with a bright smile. Contagious to the two men in the room.

"Morning. It's an honor for me to meet you, Elena," said Fredy who immediately got up and walked over to Elena. The man's words took Elena by surprise. So, he knows that the woman in front of him is Elena.

Fredy's body lowered and grabbed Elena's right hand and kissed her. His action left Elena speechless, too shocked and disbelieving.

Being praised by a man she just met and handsome enough to make Elena unable to avoid embarrassment blushed. Her face immediately flushed red because of Fredy? Without realizing it, other people were also blushing. Not because he was ashamed like Elena but to hold back his anger due to Fredy being so presumptuous. You damn playboy! Brian's people at heart.

Fredy straightened up. "I'm Fredy, Brian's best friend and assistant."

"I-"

"Elena's twin Elise." Fredy continued cutting Elena's words. The woman just nodded.

"I never knew if Elise had a twin. You're even as beautiful as Elise, ah no, you're much prettier."

"Thank you," Elena replied shyly. Very rarely do men who praise her pretty. Only Diego said that very often.

Brian growled in annoyance. He seemed forgotten. Himself as if not in this room. The man coughed slightly to steal Elena and Fredy's attention.

"So you have the documents?" Brian rise from his oversized chair and walked over to Elena.

"This one." Elena hands out the documents she brought to Brian. The man checked it for a while.

"Are you here by taxi?"

"Not."

"Sit down. You must be tired."

Elena finally sat on the sofa in Brian's room. Followed by the two men who were also sitting there.

"Mommy brought me here."

"Oh, I see."

"Elena," called Fredy who sat beside her. Elena turned her head.

"What was your previous job?"

"I work at the Wonderfull Cafe as a chef."

"Really? I stopped by there. The cafe's cakes and drinks are delicious. It turns out that it was you who made it all. It's an honor for me to meet the chefs of the Wonderfull Cafe."

Brian cursed silently. Why does Fredy seem to steal Elena's attention? Don't tell me he's interested in Elena.

"Come back to your office Fredy, you don't eat a blind salary, do you." Brian's words made Fredy grunt and stare at Brian in annoyance.

Suddenly Anna came in and reminded him that the meeting with investors was about to begin.

"Yes, wait a minute. Elena, you wait here. After the meeting we have lunch and I'll take you home." Elena nodded to answer Brian.

"And you! Come with me to the meeting," Brian pointed at Fredy.

"What ?! It's not that you just need Anna to help you," Fredy refused. He still wants to chat with Elena.

"Yes, come with me. There are a few things I have to discuss with you as well." Brian forces Fredy to come with him. He couldn't possibly leave that rancid playboy alone with Elena in his room.

"I'll go first, pregnant women are beautiful," said Fredy to Elena while winking one eye. The action that did not escape Brian's eyes made him growl in annoyance. It felt like Brian wanted to kick Fredy out of the twentieth floor. It sucks!

Elena was silent after Brian and Fredy left her alone in Brian's room. Her eyes scanned Brian's vast room. A set of expensive soft sofas, Brian's oversized table, and chairs. In the right corner is a shelf filled with files as well as a few books. On the left side, there are two doors. Elena's forehead frowned at her. She got up and walked towards the two doors.

One door is the bathroom door and the other is the connecting door to a room with a King Bed and a wardrobe. Elena chuckled. Rich people with high positions like Brian would have a special room for him to rest like that room.

Elena turned her head and looked ahead. The wide glass that stretched out before her made her see everything on the outside.

Elena walks closer. Her eyes looked at the clear blue sky, other buildings, and activity on the street.

The phone ring distracted Elana. Her cell phone is in the small bag that she put on the sofa earlier.

Elena walks to the sofa and takes out her cellphone from inside the bag. A smile was perfectly engraved on her beautiful face when Diego's name was listed as the caller.

Elena sat down and took the call. She was very enthusiastic about receiving the video call made by Diego.

"Hello, darling." Elena moved her cellphone a little so she could see Diego's face. And so that the man could see her too.

Diego smiled at Elena. Then his face turned to wrinkle.

"You're mean! You promised to call me as soon as you got there, but until now you haven't called me. If I didn't call you, surely you wouldn't remember me."

Elena's face changed. She felt guilty about it. "It's not like that, darling. I'm busy with my move here. And I have a lot of thoughts."

"I'm sorry," Elena regretted with a sad face.

"Yes, lucky the doctor said I can still walk even though I have to continue therapy."

Elena was silent with her eyes staring at the screen of her cellphone but the woman's mind drifted thinking about Diego's words earlier.

"Elena," Diego called. The man was surprised to see Elena who was just silent as if she was daydreaming about something.

"Elena!" Diego's call was loud enough to bring Elena from her reverie.

"Eh, yes, darling."

"What is wrong?" asked Diego softly and with care. He was sure something was bothering Elena's mind right now.

Noticing Diego's probing and curious gaze, Elena quickly replied, "Nothing, darling. I just remembered Wonderful Cafe. How is the Cafe now, it must be very busy." Elena smiled a little trying to cover up her lie. And change the subject.

Diego smiled and thought no more.

"All right. You take care of yourself there. Don't eat late and don't get sick."

"Yes, darling. You also passionate about therapy. Don't think too much and focus on restoring your health." Diego nodded and suddenly his face turned serious.

"Remember, don't have charms of other men. If necessary you have to write on your forehead with the words 'Diego's', understand?" said Diego full of warning which made Elena laugh out loud. Amused by what Diego said.

Glancing at other men? How could Elena even glance at other men if she only stayed at the mansion all day? Only today she can come out.

Seeing Elena's laughter so bright made Diego smile. "I miss you, Elena."

Elena's laughter stopped. She stared at her cell phone which had Diego's face on it. "I miss you too, darling."

Diego smiled. Diego's eyes seemed to shift from the screen to the side and nodded slowly. Then turn to the camera screen again.

"Elena has been a long time ago. Mira has been glaring at me for too long calling you. She said I have to eat and take my medicine."

"Yes, darling."

"I love you."

"Love you too." After that Diego's video call was cut off and Elena just stared at her black cellphone screen.
