Diego smiled. Diego's eyes seemed to shift from the screen to the side and nodded slowly. Then turn to the camera screen again.

"Elena has been a long time ago. Mira has been glaring at me for too long calling you. She said I have to eat and take my medicine."

"I love you."

"Love you too." After that Diego's video call was cut off and Elena just stared at her black cellphone screen.

Elena thought back to Diego's words. The first night. Elena couldn't possibly hide this fact. She couldn't possibly keep secrets about her pregnancy and virginity. But ... how would Diego react knowing everything? Will he still want to marry Elena or leave her?

The move from inside her stomach brought Elena to her senses. She lowered her head and rubbed her belly. The twins moved and kicked a little. As if reminding Elena not to think much.

That's right, right now Elena just has to focus on her pregnancy and deliver twins safely and healthily. She should not have a lot of thoughts and stress. Elena could think about her troubles with Diego later after she gave birth to twins.

The door to the room opened and Brian walked inside followed by Fredy behind him.

Brian walked over to his oversized table and put down the documents he was carrying. Meanwhile, Fredy walked towards the sofa where Elena sat. The man immediately sat beside Elena with a smile etched on his face.

"Elena, are you hungry? Want to have lunch with me? I'll treat," said Fredy, staring at Elena closely.

Hearing Fredy says, Brian stood up and immediately said, "No, she had lunch with me. After that, I will take you home."

Fredy turned to Brian who was in front of him.

"Then I'll come to lunch together, okay. You don't mind, do you, Elena?" asked Fredy to Elena. The woman just nodded without knowing that someone was burning with jealousy around her.

"You can't. You can't come to lunch with us, you have to finish the Fernandez Mall financial report now. I want it on my desk when I get back."

"But Brian, it's already lunch hour."

"You can have lunch later. You have to finish the report. You said there was something wrong with the report sent by the finance department staff. So hurry up and finish it," Brian decided, undeniably firm. Fredy cursed himself. The man is attracted to Elena and hopes to have a chat and be close to her.

"Come on, Elena," said Brian. Elena got up and went out with Brian.

Now Elena and Brian are sitting at one of the restaurant tables not far from the office. They are waiting for orders to come.

"Brian, why doesn't Fredy come to lunch with us, if we eat at this restaurant?"

"He has to complete the financial statements I requested." Brian scowled lazily in response to Elena's question. Somehow Brian was lazy to talk about Fredy with Elena.

"But it's already lunch hour after all this restaurant is not far from your office. Why are you even pressuring him and asking him to do a report? Besides, your company won't go bankrupt if Fredy doesn't finish the report as soon as possible." Elena expressed her thoughts. She pitied remembering Fredy's pitiful face. The man must be starving.

Brian stared at Elena in silence. True, the company would not go bankrupt if Fredy had not finished the report. Even if that man finished it tomorrow it wouldn't have any effect on his company's current performance. The financial report is indeed important but not something so urgent that he forbids Fredy from eating lunch before completing the report.

Brian was pensive. What happened to him? Why is he being defensive and possessive of Elena? Like a male lion who is immediately alert when a male tiger enters his power.

Why? Could it be because Elena is Elise's twin sister and Brian feels he must protect her from being attacked by a land crocodile named Fredy? Yes, that's right. It must be because of that he was acting like this. Brian nodded silently.

"I pity him. He must be very hungry, Brian. You're very cruel," said Elena again.

"Listen, Elena, you have to stay away from him."

"Why?"

"Because he's a very jerk. Playboy stamp lizard and alligator."

"Is it true?" Elena's innocent face stared at Brian closely then tilted slightly remembering Fredy's face and the man's attitude.

"He often plays a woman's heart. You have to stay away from him," explained Brian again.

"But he doesn't look like that. He's a nice and friendly man."

"That's one way to hook a woman's heart. You have to stay away from him," said Brian a little fiery.

Elena just sighed and nodded slowly. The pregnant woman leaned her back against the back of the chair. It doesn't matter what Brian says about Fredy, because she has absolutely no interest in him. Of course, Elena is not interested because there is Diego who always fills her heart and mind.

It didn't take long for the waiter to deliver their order and they immediately ate.

"Elena, did Mommy ask anything strange or suspect anything about you?" Brian asked, breaking the silence between their lunch activities.

Elena was silent thinking about Rena then her head shook her head.

"Looks like Mommy doesn't have the slightest suspicion."

"In that case, good."

"But ... somehow I even feel sad about this."

"You mean?"

"Mommy did not suspect that I was not Elise, her daugther-in-law. It made me think that she did not know Elise at all. It seems that she hates Elise so much that she never wants to know her?"

Brian exhaled softly. It's true what Elena said. Her mother was very stubborn and opposed to her relationship with Elise. Rena hates Elise so much that they are forced to do this crazy idea to stay together. Brian had tried to bring the two women together at family dinners, but it always ended in disaster.

Rena always said sharp, scathing, and condescending words to Elise. Making the woman he loves cry because of it. And Elise has also tried to win Rena's heart, but again, Rena's heart is as hard as a rock. The woman was always harsh and hated whenever Elise tried to be nice to her. Elise even felt that everything she did was always wrong in Rena's eyes. Sometimes she even felt like she was just breathing, wrong in the eyes of Rena.

Again Brian sighed heavily. He leaned back and stared at the mirror beside him.

"I don't know. I told Mommy that Elise is a good woman and I love her very much. But she was always against it and hated Elise. Mommy always asked me to divorce Elise and marry Tiara."

Seeing the sad look on Brian's face, Elena felt sympathetic. She also thought of Elise, her sister. It must be very hard for Elise to have a mother-in-law who hates her so much.

"I think Mommy is like that because she doesn't know Elise yet. Elise is a good woman and she loves you a lot. I'm sure if Mommy knew Elise more closely, she would melt and accept Elise as her daughter-in-law."

Elena's words made Brian turn his head. The man smiled bitterly. Brian had done that many times. Trying to bring two women who mean a lot in his life, but always fail. Rena is a stubborn woman who sticks to her stance. Just like him.

"It's useless Elena. Mommy won't melt."

"I'll help," Elena decided.

"You mean?"

"I'll help Mommy win her heart." Brian frowned and gave Elena a quick look. What does Elena mean?

"As long as I replace Elise's position, I will try to win Mommy's heart."

"Why?"

"Because I don't want to see my sister suffer from having a cruel mother-in-law like yours." Elena and Brian's eyes locked and a second later they were both smiling. Elena smiles because Brian isn't angry. After all, she already said Rena was cruel. Meanwhile, Brian smiled because Elena wanted to help Elise.

A cell phone ringing sound was heard. Brian pulled his cell phone from his pants pocket. Elise's name was written there.

"Hello." Brian immediately picked up the call. And Elena went back to eating while occasionally looking at Brian.

"I'm having lunch. What's wrong, Elise?"

"Talking to me?" Elena just listened to the words Brian said in silence.

"All right, I'll be at the apartment soon." After that Brian hung up the call. And looked at Elena.

"A call from Elise?" Brian immediately nodded.

"She's asking me to the apartment now. She's got something to talk about."

"Come on, I have to meet Elise now." Brian got up and got ready for the checkout.

"Can I come?" Somehow Elena asked that. Makes Brian stare absently and shakes his head.

"No. I think Elise wants to discuss something important with me." Brian went straight to the cashier leaving Elena staring at his back in silence.

Elena pondered what Brian said. She felt stupid about herself. Why did she want to be involved in the conversation between husband and wife? She is just a stranger and they have shared privacy. She shouldn't want to know about that.

"Come on, I'll drive you before going to the apartment," Brian asked after returning from paying their food bill. Elena nodded and grabbed her small bag. Walk out with Brian.
