Elsewhere, in a rental apartment, Diego, Elena and Mira are sitting at a small table eating breakfast. This morning their breakfast menu was chicken porridge that Diego bought in front of the alley.

"Mira, Elena and I have good news." said Diego breaking the silence this morning. Since waking up, the man has extra enthusiasm and the smile never disappears from his face. He couldn't even sleep last night thinking about their wedding plans. The two-week period was quite short and Diego wanted to plan it all. Even though their marriage is simple, he wants it to be memorable for him and Elena.

Mira, who had slept early last night, didn't know what made the man so happy this morning. Mira was still in her demeanor, avoiding eye contact with Diego and as much as possible from him. But since Diego talked to her during breakfast, she certainly couldn't just ignore it.

"What good news?" Mira asked with her head raised up, but her eyes occasionally avoided Diego's eyes.

Diego was actually aware of the distant and evasive attitude Mira was showing him. But he didn't know why that woman acted like that to him. And Diego also doesn't really think about it because right now his marriage to Elena is much more important than all of them.

Diego's hand grabbed Elena's hand which was lying on the table. And holding it tightly with a wide smile etched clearly on the man's face.

"I and Elena are getting married in two weeks." Diego said excitedly, which sounded like lightning striking Mira. She never expected to hear that. Mira knows Elena and Diego have been lovers for a long time. But she never knew and never expected that they would marry in two weeks.

"Two weeks from now? Isn't that too quick and sudden?" asked Mira quickly without realizing it.

Elena stared at Mira. Why does Mira's tone sound like she doesn't agree. Elena glanced at the woman, which made Mira realize her mistake.

She quickly explained, "I mean, marriage is not a simple thing. It takes preparation and everything. And why am I only hearing this news now?"

Mira turned towards Elena. The woman never told Mira that Elena and Diego were getting married.

"Actually, this marriage is not sudden, I even proposed to Elena long before I had an accident."

Diego turned and looked at Elena with eyes that were hard to pin down. There was a look of sadness and reluctance as he said, "if I hadn't had an accident, maybe by now Elena and I are married and have a child."

Elena saw the look in Diego's eyes. The man must be blaming himself for all the pain and sorrow Elena endured because of him.

Elena turned Diego's hand that was clasping hers and linked her fingers with the man's until they were entwined and held it tightly. With a beautiful smile, Elena reassured Diego that she was fine and it was all over.

Understanding Elena's gesture and meaning from the look in her eyes and behavior made Diego smile.

"So that no more unwanted things happen, which might delay our good plan. That's why, I decided in two weeks to marry Elena. Besides, I'm afraid Elena will be taken by another man. So, I have to tie her in a formal marriage bond."

Mira was silent watching the interaction between Diego and Elena. She was just a third person who couldn't enter and had no right to be involved among them. Mira should have realized from the start that there would be no place for her in Diego's heart. All thoughts and hearts of Diego belong to Elena. It was just the stupidity of Mira, who had fallen in love and was expecting a reply from Diego.

Witnessing the intimacy and closeness of Diego and Elena makes Mira's heart hurt. If a scene like this alone made her sad and hurt, how could Mira endure the scenery at their wedding?

Mira regretted having come to this city, regret to agree to temporarily stay in their place of residence. And regret that she couldn't prevent herself from falling in love with Diego.
