Tan Ji Nan was quiet during the whole journey to the Ho Mansion and Ho Min Lin could not take it anymore. He only said a word when they reached the Ho Mansion gate.

"We're here!"

He stopped the car and waited for the guard to let them in.

"Are you mad?"

Tan Ji Nan look at her and shook his head. "Why would I?"

"You're unusually quiet since we left the Tan Mansion. Are you upset because you didn't get what you want?"

Tan Ji Nan look at her with amusement. "Are you willing to give it to me now because I'm upset?"

"No!" said Ho Min Lin with a stern voice.

"So why asking me anyway, if my feelings won't change your mind." Tan Ji Nan mocked her.

"Because I don't want you to get mad." Ho Min Lin's voice trembled and it startled Tan Ji Nan.

Is she about to cry?

He started to panic because they were in front of the Ho Mansion gate now and it finally opened. The guard was about to come to check on them.

What would her parents says if they see their precious daughter crying?

He doesn't want to be accused of maltreating her.

"Listen, I'm not mad okay...I was just felt awful because somehow I took advantage of you. I promised your dad that I will send you home in one piece but I almost broke that promise and I'm sorry that I lose control earlier."

Ho Min Lin's tears eventually fall.

"I have promised myself and Song Dei Si that I'll keep my chastity and will only give it to my future husband. Both of us made a promised and Song Dei Si lived by that promise, I don't want to break mine." said Ho Min Lin, trying to explain her situation.

That piece of information amused Tan Ji Nan.

Song Dei Si and Ho Min Lin made a chastity promise?

Their friendship was really something.

Tan Ji Nan pulled Ho Min Lin into his embrace and and said "Hmmm, just don't tease me like the way you did earlier because I cannot promise to be gentleman at all times."

Ho Min Lin nodded.

"But I will try my best to control myself. I understood your belief and will respect that!"

Ho Min Lin rest her chin to his shoulder and wiped her tears.

The guard knocked on Tan Ji Nan's tinted car window.

He pressed the window button down and the guard immediately recognized Ho Min Lin's back and let them passed.

"Are you going to meet my parents today?"

"Uhm. I took their daughter away and it is just proper to meet them and apologize personally because I didn't send you home last night"

Ho Min Lin pulled herself away from Tan Ji Nan and curiously asked him."Hey, I know how strict my dad is and I am just wondering what did you just say to him that made him agreed that you can take me home last night"

Tan Ji Nan curled up a smile.

"I just said the magic word that a parents wanted to hear from the boyfriend of their daughter."

"...."

"You'll know it when the right time comes" He pinched her nose and kissed her forehead.

Ho Min Lin smiled and said "Well, whatever it is, I'm pretty sure it is just to my advantage."

"Right!" Tan Ji Nan said and smiled mischievously.

Meanwhile at the Tan Mansion.

Lee Jin Ho came 15 minutes earlier to pick up Tan Ja Nin but he didn't inform her yet that he was already on front of the mansion because he didn't want to give the impression that he was excited to see her again. He just called her when the clock tick at exactly 11AM.

"Hi!" he casually said.

"Hello!" Tan Ja Nin greeted him back from the other line. Her voice was also casual.

"I'm already here on front of the mansion"

"Okay, I'll just walk there."

"Are you sure? I can pick you up on front of your doorstep. It's quite a distance if you will walk from there."

"No need .I'll just ask our driver to send me there."

"O-okay!" Said Lee Jin Ho. He ended the call but some thoughts were running inside his head. Why does he have a feeling that Tan Ja Nin doesn't want to let the whole Tan household know that she will be going out with him?

Was she afraid that they will take it as if she was going with him to have a lunch date?

And what's wrong with the lunch date?

They are both single anyways.

But the thing was, they were not going out for a real lunch date.

It was just a plain lunch meal between them.

They were just acquaintance with each other, because even though they belong on the same group when they were in Highschool, they were not even close.

They barely talked to each other back then.

So he just knew a little bit of information about Tan Ja Nin.

But suddenly he wanted to learn more about her personally.

He wanted to know what her interests are? What kind of person she is behind that beautiful face?

This lunch with her could be the right venue for him to get to know her more.

He just thought about it while he was on the way to the mansion that eventhough something had already happened between them it doesn't necessarily mean that they could easily jump off from just being each other acquaintance into a more personal level kind of relationship.

He admitted to himself that what happened between them that night was something especial that he will never forget for the rest of his life.

But he doesn't want that beautiful memory to be mistaken to be more than something that he could not hold on to later on.

Both of them have loved someone so deeply from the past.

He doesn't want to be his rebound and with due respect to her, he doesn't want her to be just a rebound too.

He pondered about it and decided that it was better for the two of them to know each other first.

Maybe they could start off being friends.

Who knows? She maybe the next woman he fall in love with and she maybe not.

But one thing that he wanted to be sure of, that on the next time that he would fall inlove again, he will ensure that the feelings she had for her was something genuine.
