Tan Ja Nin sent a txt message on her manager thru WeChat.

Tan Ja Nin: Any news yet?

Manager Mo: I haven't heard anything yet from the agency.

Tan Ja Nin: But didn't it say in the contract that I'm going to shoot four drama with them?

Manager Mo: Yes, but they are still looking for the best role to be given to you. You are still a newbie. Expect that it might not come so soon. Look, who would invest in a newcomer who doesn't have proven her worth yet in acting? You only have your promotional teaser came out this week. We haven't gotten a positive response from the viewers yet.

Tan Ja Nin: I see. Do you think how long should I wait?

Manager Mo: I can't say actually. Just be ready. For the meantime, the agency has enrolled you in the acting class. Make your time useful by making the most out of it. Who knows if they see that you are not just a pretty face and you can really act, they will offer you to audition in one of the new dramas that TVQ will produce. I've heard that Director Jung will open the audition for the lead role and supporting lead role by the end of this month."

Tan Ja Nin: Is this the historical drama series that they are planning to be aired later this year?

Manager Mo: Yes. So please do your best in the acting class. I will send you via email about your enrollment so you can see the schedules and the venue.

Tan Ja Nin: Thanks.

Tan Ja Nin threw her phone on the bed and lied down next to it.

She sighed. She thought it was so easy to get a role in a drama, she get used to getting want she want in an instant but now she realized that without her family's connection, she was nothing.

She decided not to divulge her true identity even with Manager Mo. Even thou she used her real name as her screen name she did not provide any details about her family. Because if anyone from the Industry knew that she came the Tan's affluent family she will get favors and she don't want that to happen. She wanted to play fair. Also her parents didn't know that she was entering the Entertainment Industry and she was pretty sure that if they knew they will oppose it. So she kept them out off the loop. But she didn't lie to her twin brother because she knew that if anything worst that could happen she has her twin brother to protect her.

She doesn't want to be a top actress, she just wanted to act on the silverscreen. She wanted to prove her worth that she can do what she wanted to do without the help of her parent's fortune. She has started living her life on a low-key since she came back from New York. She never attented any of their family's Corporate Events and any social gatherings with other affluent families in the society because she don't want to be seen. She doesn't want her face to be on the cover of a Tatler magazine.

Song Dei Si wake up earlier the next day because she was excited to visit Old Master Gu. She went to the market to buy fresh ingredients to bring at the Villa because she wanted to cook something for the old man.

"What dish would you cook for him?" Yan Mor Tee asked her when he saw her at the kitchen while she was busy tidying up all the ingredients and putting it on the clean container.

"I planned to cook a steamboat for him, you said it is one of his favorites."

"Wow! The old man will be happy, you'll earn another beauty points from him because of that" said Yan Mor Tee and kissed her on the forehead.

Madam Yan was about to enter the kitchen when she saw Yan Mor Tee being sweet with his wife. She was about to turn around to come back to the living room when Yan Mor Tee saw her.

"Morning, mom!"

She decided to continue going to the kitchen to get cold water for Master Yan who was busy doing his daily routine of excercise at the home gym.

"Morning" she greeted him back and her gaze turned to the container that full of fresh ingredients. "Aren't you supposed to go to the Villa and visit your pops today?"

"Yes! Song Dei Si went to the market early this morning to buy those fresh vegetables and seafoods for the steamboat that she wanted to cook for pops. We will bring this container at the Villa."

Madam Yan did not reply but she was moved when Song Dei Si made an extra effort to go to the market early in the morning to ensure that she will use a fresh ingredients for the steamboat that she will prepare for the old man. She knew how her father loves hotpot.

"Why don't you and dad join us? It is a rare occasion that we could have lunch together with the Old Man"Yan Mor Tee said in awhile.

Madam Yan smiled "I think that's a great idea. I don't have anything to do for the rest of the day and so your dad. I'll go ask him if he wanted to visit your pops again. If ever, you can go ahead now and we will just be there on time for lunch."

Yan Mor Tee gave his mom an okay sign.

Madam Yan got a glass of water and was too excited when she left the kitchen.

"Pops!! Pops we're here!" Yan Mor Tee shouted as soon as he stepped out from his car.

Old Master Gu almost run to the doorway when he heard the voice of his grandson. He was so excited to see him and his granddaughter-in-law again.

""Hey punk! What took you so long to visit me again?" Old Master Gu said when he saw Yan Mor Tee.

"Pops!" Yan Mor Tee run towards his grandfather and hugged him tightly.

Song Dei Si smiled when she saw how happy the grandfather and grandson to be together again. The helper came into her and she asked her to help her to bring down the container from the compartment at the back.

Old Master Gu had pushed Yan Mor Tee away and pulled out from his embrace when he saw Song Dei Si. He went excitedly towards her.

"Oh my dear grand daughter-in law, glad to see you again!" He opened his arms to embrace Song Dei Si

Song Dei Si embraced Old Master Gu. "How are you Grandfather?"

"I'm good!" He pulled from her embraced and looked at her. "You're getting beautiful each and everyday!" He said then embraced her tightly again.

Yan Mor Tee went to their direction and pulled his wife away from the old man's embrace. "Enough pops! I'm getting jealous now!"

Old Master Gu laughed and saw the container being held by the helper.

"Did you bring something for me?"

"Those are fresh ingredients from the market. Your great grandfaughter-in-law here will be cooking steamboat for you." Said Yan Mor Tee as he puts her arms around Song Dei Si shoulder.

"Wow! I've heard that you are a good cook!"

"I am still in the process of learning, Grandfather!" Song Dei Si said humbly.

"Where did you get that news that she's a good cook. I never remember saying that piece of information to you" Yan Mor Tee asked.

"I've got it from your Dad. They visited me last week and he mentioned that she cooked pork adobo for you and he has tasted it too and it was good."

"That pork adodo helped us close the deal with our new investors because they happened to get a taste of it too, and they all liked it!" Yan Mor Tee smiled and can't help but proudly shared the story.

"Wow! Can we also have that today?" Old Master Gu asked Song Dei Si.

"Sure Grandfather."

"You are really so lucky to have her!" Old Master Gu told his grandson.

"I know!"

"Dei Si, Is your grandmother still alive?"

"Yes grandfather!" Song Dei Si said giggling.

"Can you introduce me to her?"

"Pops you've already asked her that on the first time we visited you"

"Yes, but I still remember that her grandfather was still alive then so I don't have a chance."

"I'm afraid you still won't get a chance this time Pops! Her grandfather is still alive and much younger than you!"

Old Master Gu made a sad face.

"My grandmother has a younger sister who is already a widow. Do you want me to introduce you to her?" Said Song Dei Si, trying to piss off her husband who doesn't want the Old Master Gu to marry again.

Old Master Gu's face lighthened up. "Is she also pretty like you."

"Pops! Didn't you say you won't get married again?

Old Master Gu laughed. "But this old man is lonely here and needs company."

"We can always visit you!" Yan Mor Tee put his other arm to the old man's shoulder.

Old Master Gu laughed. "Okay! Let's go inside now."

They went inside the Villa while Yan Mor Tee was holding Song Dei to his right and Old Master Gu to his left.
