"Dad!" Song Dei Si went to his father-in-law after she recovered from a shock "Are you okay?"

Master Yan nodded as he wiped the blood on his mouth.

Song Dei Si shifted her gaze to Master Tan and he gave her a hateful look before he turned around and has started to walk away from them.

"Jingming!" Master Yan has tried to follow Master Tan but he was held back by his son.

"Dad....stop!" Yan Mor Tee said.

"Let me go. I need to talk to him" Master Yan said

"It's not the right time. Even if you explain everything he won't listen to you"

Master Yan frustratedly cupped his face with his both hands.

Song Dei Si felt sorry for her father-in-law.

"Dad, sorry..." she said.

"Why are you saying sorry?" Master Yan asked.

"If I didn't came into Yan Mor Tee's life, he could have married Tan Ja Nin, your friendship with Master Yan could not have been compromised."

"Silly!" Master Yan "Even if you didn't came, we will still call off the agreement because Yan Mor Tee's heart doesn't beat for Tan Ja Nin. We can't force him to marry the girl he doesn't love"

"But you are suffering..."Song Dei Si said on trembling voice. Song Mingsheng patted his daughter's shoulder, trying to comfort her.

"Don't worry about me. I don't usually give up on my friends. I just need to talk to him to make him understand." Master Yan smiled and reassured her.

"We will bring you to the hospital to check the cut on your mouth" Song Dei So said.

"This is just a small thing! No need to bring me to the hospital!"

"We will just you home instead, so we can nurse you!"

"No, you'll stay here and enjoy the rest of the day. I can go home by myself."

Song Dei Si was about to say something when Song Mingsheng stopped her. "Let me accompany him instead. You two can just stay here."

"I am no longer in the mood to play golf!" Song Dei Si said.

"Let just play golf next weekend instead" Yan Mor Tee said and talked to Song Mingsheng "Dad, we will drop you off first!"

"No need, I am out of the way. I'll just take a cab. Please go home now and treat Master Yan wounds."

Yan Mor Tee nodded.

"Apologies for spoiling the day!" Master Yan said.

"No worries!" Said Song Mingsheng

"Let's go home then!"

Madam Yan chided Master Yan while she was nursing his wounds at Yan Mansion.

"Can you please give up on Jingming? Look what happened to you."

"You know that I cannot give up on him"

Madam Yan sighed. "Was he your wife from your past life that you cannot give up on him?"

"Are you jealous?" Master Yan smiled and teased her.

"No, I'm mad!" said Madam Yan and pressed the cotton buds hard on the wounded part of his lips.

Master Yan twitched his mouth because of the sudden pain.

"He was just angry because he thought that I choose Song Dei Si over Tan Ja Nin. I just wanted to let him understand that I never choose anyone. I made the decision solely because of my son. And you know that we will always support our son's happiness."

"I know, but he will never understand that because it broke her daughter's heart. If we wanted to give everything just to make our son's happy, Jingming will also do everything for his daughter's happiness."

"How can Tan Ja Nin be happy if our son didn't love her more than just a sister?"

"That's why we just have to wait, for Jingming to come into his own realization. If he sees Tan Ja Nin fall in love again and happy with her new found love, he will realize that Yan Mor Tee wasn't her real happiness...and maybe.. just maybe he will learn how to open his heart again for a reconciliation of your friendship. So for now...please do not try to approach him again."

Master Yan did not reply.

"Did you understand?" Madam Yan asked when she didn't get a reply from Master Yan.

"Okay..." Master Yan resigned and he knew that he will never win an argument with his wife. Since he admitted his love for his wife, she started to boss him around.

Madam Tan was surprised when she saw Master Tan entering the master bedroom at the Tan Mansion.

"Why are you here? I thought you're going to the Golf Course." Madam Tan said because Master Tan came home earlier than usual.

"I've been there and I bumped into Jao Yan"

Madam Tan was stunned for awhile. "What happened? Did you talk to each other?" She asked, she felt excited because she was praying that the rift between her husband and his bestfriend will finally come to an end.

"I smacked him on the face!"

"What?!" Madam Yan excitement had dropped and could not believe what she just heard.

"I was angry when I saw him happy chatting with Song Dei Si and her father. It seems like their having a good relationship." Master Tan said.

"Isn't it supposed to be the case? They were like a family to each other now?"

"I don't like them to be happy while my daughter is suffering because Yan Mor Tee did not marry her."

"Suffering?" Madam Tan asked. "How can you say that she's suffering?

"If she's not suffering why is she still living like a bum right now and live alone at her apartment. She's been back here in the country for over four months now and just doing nothing. She never wanted to take on any position in our company. I hate to see her wasting her life because she stopped living it!"

Madam Tan could not retaliate on what her husband has said. Like him, she was worried about Tan Ja Nin, she rejected any position in their company and start living alone in her apartment without any job at all. It seems like she already lost interest to live. Though she said that the sleeping pills overdose has happened by accident, she cannot ignore the fact that she has resorted to take sleeping pills because she was having a hardtime to get some sleep. If she can't sleep maybe it was because there were so many things that could be running on her mind and she didn't know what it is. So she tried to always visit her every weekend on her apartment to check up on her, but whenever she was on her apartment, she looked like a normal person without any trace of depression.

"Maybe we are just overthinking. If Tan Ja Nin was suffering, Ji Nan will surely won't let his twin sister be on this state." Said Madam Tan, trying to convince her husband to stop worrying about their daughter's well-being.

"Can we hire a secret bodyguard to follow Ja Nin around to help our mind at ease?" Master Tan asked.

"Your daughter will hate us if she found out that she was being followed"

Master Tan sighed. "What shall we do now?"

"Trust her. She's 26 years old now and I am confident that she always had a good head on her shoulders. She knows what she's doing and let just support her."

Master Tan nodded.

"Also, can we stop hating the Yan's please? Let's accept the fact that Yan Mor Tee is not the right guy for our daughter. He only love our Ja Nin like her own sister, if we have married them off, your daughter will not find real happiness with him because it was just a one-sided love between them"

Master Tan did not reply but everything that his wife has said was practically true.

Yan Mor Tee was lying on the bed while he was watching a documentary on the television when Song Dei Si who just entered the room joined him.

"Hubby..." Song Dei Si said as she embraced him. She coquettishly rest her head like a child on his chest.

"Uhm."

"Do you have any other friends whom you can introduce to Tan Ja Nin?"

"Why?" Yan Mor Tee asked.

"I was just thinking if Tan Ja Nin start dating around and found her match, Master Tan should no longer hate Dad for breaking the marriage agreement between you and her.."

"Are you still thinking about what happened earlier? I'm pretty sure your feeling guilty about it again?"

Song Dei Si pouted. "I can't help it. I feel sorry for Dad because he lost a bestfriend."

Yan Mor Tee looked at his wife. "Stop thinking about it!"

"Haven't you feel any regrets that Dad and Master Tan are no longer friends?"

"Of course I do, but I also believe that if friendship is true it will never be broken. There are some misunderstanding right now but later on if both of them have decided to talk to each other to solve it, everything's will be okay. But right now, Uncle Jingming isn't ready yet to iron everything out. It should always be a two way street."

"Are you being optimistic that Dad and Master Tan will reconcile again?"

Yan Mor Tee nodded. "So stop blaming yourself, okay?"

"Uhm" Song Dei Si said.
