Tan Ja Nin gaze was lowered down when she sat beside Lee Jin Ho at the living room. She could not face his parents who were sitting across them. Next to them was Lee Chin Mei.

"Mom, Dad! I apologize if our cohabiting arrangement wasn't a good idea for both of you. I knew that we should get married first before we live together in one roof..." Lee Jin Ho said. He was still holding Tan Ja Nin's hands "It was my idea actually. I've asked her to live with me."

"Why?" Master Lee asked.

"I...I wanted to spend more time with her.." Lee Jin Ho answered and looked at Tan Ja Nin.

"If you wanted to spend more time with her then why didn't you ask for a marriage instead?" Master Tan scolded his son.

Lee Jin Ho could not answer his father's question. He got his tongue tied.

Tan Ja Nin bit the lower part of her lips and her hands trembled.

Master Lee saw how Tan Ja Nin's hand was trembling. He said as he sigh. "It won't be a big deal for us anyway since you are a man but we are speaking here for Tan Ja Nin. She may be at the losing end for all this and we don't want you to take advantage of her"

"Your Dad is right, if you ain't sure that you wanted to spend the rest of your life with her you should have not asked her to live with you." Madam Lee said as she chided Lee Jin Ho.

Lee Chi Mei rolled her eyes. Can her parents be at least discreet in front of Tan Ja Nin or at least tried to pick up a good lines that will not hurt Tan Ja Nin more? If she didn't know her parents real intention, she should already made a rage if she were Tan Ja Nin. But she knew that her parents only wanted to protect Tan Ja Nin. Her brother was a scumbag!

Why would he wanted to live with Tan Ja Nin if he doesn't have any plans of keeping her forever?

"Marriage should not be the license for both adults to live together. With or without marriage they can spend the rest of their lives with each other!" Lee Jin Ho said.

Madam Lee gave his son a glare. Why does she have a son like that?

"Tan Ja Nin..." She softly called her.

She slowly lifted her head and looked at Madam Lee. She saw a concerned looked on her face.

"Did our son force you to live with him?"

Tan Ja Nin shook her head. "It was my own decision to live with him..."

"Ahhh I can't understand the minds of the young generation now..."Madam Lee sighed. "Anyways both of you are now adults and yes you can already decide for your own"

"Just let us know Ja Nin if our son bullies you..." Master Lee said. "We won't tolerate any of his wrongdoings. And don't think that we don't like you. We really do! " Master Lee said.

Tan Ja Nin emotions suddenly went uphill. She suddenly burst into tears.

"Hey..." Master Lee was worried. "Did I say something wrong?"

Tan Ja Nin shook her head. "I am sorry if we disappoint you and Auntie"

"You have nothing to apologize. It is our son who is such a scumbag."

Madam Lee rushed into Tan Ja Nin side "Yeah, it is our son who took advantage of you. Don't think that we don't like you."

Tan Ja Nin nodded.

Madam Lee gave Tan Ja Nin a motherly hug. She patted her back. She had found a comfort on her embrace.

"Sister-out-law!" Lee Chin Mei called Tan Ja Nin and walk together with her while they were heading to the dining table. "Can I visit more often at the pad now that you're living there?" She put her hands around her arms. "Like my brother, I wanted to spend more time with you..."

Tan Ja Nin smiled at Lee Chin Mei "Yes of course! But I have a tight schedule on the coming days because the filming of my first movie will starts soon"

"Oh, is it hard to be a movie star?" Lee Chin Mei asked. She seated next to Tan Ja Nin at the dining table.

"Yeah, specially if you already started filming! You won't have much time for yourself and your love ones."

"I see. Then I don't want to be a movie star then!"

Tan Ja Nin was astounded "So you also have a thing for acting?"

Lee Chin Mei chuckled "I'm just kidding! I wanted

to travel to the moon someday!"

Tan Ja Nin smiled. She didn't know if she would believe her or not. This girl was really quite eccentric.

"But sister-out-law, why did you decide to live with my brother without marriage? You are both on the right age to get married now." Lee Chin Mei said in a low voice.

"Marriage isn't our priority this time." Tan Ja Nin answered on a low voice too that only Lee Chin Mei could hear what she was saying.

"Is it because you are just starting to build your name at the entertainment industry?

"Yeah! Sort of!" Tan Ja Nin answered. It was one of the many reasons why they have decided to live together without marriage.

Lee Chin Mei pouted. "But you love my brother right?"

Tan Ja Nin answered. "Of course."

"So if you love him, why not marry him?"

It was because he never asked. Tan Ja Nin said to herself.

"Love isn't just as simple as that!"

Lee Chin Mei nodded. Because if love was just as simple as marrying someone you love, there will no broken hearted in this world.

If love was just as simple as being together, she wouldn't have to resort to run away from Lu Jiaosheng!

But love was such a complicated thing.

Sometimes she wished she never felt it the first place.
