"I could not join you in watching the movie next week." He said, he doesn't want to keep her hanging with his confirmation.

"Why?"

"I only go out on a movie date with my girlfriend." He said, he doesn't want to be rude but he wanted to make it clear with her that he could not go beyond friendship between the two of them.

Lee Chin Mei who was looking outside the window could not help but smile.

So she wasn't his girlfriend.

There was a long silence on the other line.

"Charie?"

"Understood. Hopefully we can watch movie together in the future. Bye for now"

In the future.

This woman doesn't seem to give up yet?

Lee Chin Mei pouted.

"Bye." Lu Jiaosheng said.

"So yo-u only wat-ch a movie with your girl-friend?" Lee Chin Mei asked in between hiccups.

"Don't talk. It would be inconvenient for you." He said as he tried looking around his sorroundings.

Hmp. Lee Chin Mei continued to pout.

Gu Lauren told her before that every guy will take the opportunity to take a girl on a movie date.

Lu Jiaosheng parked in front of a convenience store. "I'll just have to buy something. Wait here." He said and walked out to the store.

After 10 minutes, he walked out from the store, get inside the car and handed her the bottle of water.

"This may help you stop the hiccup."

"Oh!" Lee Chin Mei said. She was beyond touch.

She took the bottle of water and started drinking it.

Lu Jiaosheng started to drive again.

"Try to hold your breath and then drink." Lu Jiosheng said when the hiccup hasn't stopped yet.

"Are you a medi-cal practitioner? Since when did you know this me-thod?"

"You don't need to be a medical practitioner to know that. My parents usually told me to do that to stop the hiccup when I was a kid and it works all the time." Lu Jiaosheng said and gave her a sly smile.

Oh that smile.

Irk.

This stubborn hiccup wouldn't want to stop.

She already followed Lu Jiaosheng instruction. And she almost half-emptied the bottle.

"I've heard that you'll be taking your degree in Oxford University and you've already passed the qualifying entrance exam." Lu Jiaosheng said after awhile.

"Uhm!" She answered.

"You'll be far away from your family? Are you sure you can live alone in the foreign country?"

"I know it won't be that ea-sy but I really want to study there... and I wanted to stay away..."

So I could stay away from you.

Hoping that if I don't see you again or heard anything about you. I can eventually forget you.

"Also, I wanted to get away from my brother's strict super-vision." She said, she tried to laugh so Lu Jiaosheng could take it as she was just joking then.

"Why? So you could date around when you're already there?" Lu Jiaosheng said as he was quite in a bad mood all of a sudden.

"Hmm I think I can also con-sider doing that!" She said, thou it wasn't really her plan to date while in the UK but she can try it thou. Dating some men might help her forget Lu Jiaosheng by the way.

Lu Jiaosheng suddenly pressed the gas over maximum allowable kph.

Lee Chin Mei was quite shock with the sudden speed and can't help but hold on tigthly to her passenger seat.

"You're overspeeding!" She said and was about to panic when she saw his dashboard. "We might get caug-ht by the police."

Thou she could not see any police around but she wasn't sure if there were cameras around the area.

Lu Jiaosheng continues to drive fast.

Oh my dear life.

This man was driving her crazy.

"Aren't you suppose to study abroad? Why are you thinking of dating some guy while you're there?" He said furiously.

Well that was really her intention. It was him who gave her idea to date some guy by the way.

"What's wrong with having a boy-friend while I'm studying there?" She said furiously too. She can't understand why he suddenly flares up.

Lu Jiaosheng shot her with a glaring look.

Now he was decided to hire someone to follow her around in UK. His heart won't feel at ease knowing that any moment his woman will be snatched by someone.

Or should he convince Lee Hin Jo to stop her from going to UK then?

But how could he say it to Lee Jin Ho?

"Having a boyfriend might distract you..." He said.

"Didn't you have a girl-friend while your studying in the University. Did your girlfriend back then dis-tract you from finishing your degree" She asked and got angry too, specially now that he remembers how Lu Jiaosheng loved that woman he met and dated while he was in the University.

She suddenly remember how Lu Jiaosheng was so excited telling stories about his girlfriend to his friends everytime they were at the villa. She can still remember how excited he was when he informed that he got engaged with her and could not wait to marry her after they finish their college degree.

How can she forget that moment when she saw how deeply inlove she was with that girl?

How can she forget how her young heart was broken into pieces to see him falling inlove with somebody else?

"You felt more ins-pired right?" She mocked. "Not until she left you with some other..."

Lu Jioasheng suddenly turned the steering wheel and abruptly parked into side of the street.

If she wasn't holding into her seat tightly, she could have flown away and hit her face into the dashboard.

She angrily looked at Lu Jioasheng and yelled at him.

"Do you wan-t to die?"

This damn hiccups.

Why it didn't stop until now?

Her body was trembling because she was so damn mad and yet this stubborn hiccups were also tormenting her.

Lu Jiaosheng looked at her too and before another hiccup can come out from her lungs, he grabbed her neck towards him and sealed her mouth with a hot kiss.
