Everyone was astounded and at a loss of words from what just happened. They couldn't believe their eyes.
"Did Elliot just… turn the curse into a crystal ball?" Lunaflora asked, with awe so apparent in her voice.
"I think he did," Ducis mumbled. He, too, was dumbfounded. But then again it was Elliot. Was there even anything they should still be surprised about? The Supreme didn't choose him for nothing. But still, it was really marvelous—and unprecedented!
"Wooooow! Elliot! You're so amazing!" Lunaflora jumped in delight and ran over to him to rummage his hair.
The other Guardians were overjoyed themselves, and Rania, Selena, Clavis and Illuminaire. They all went to the two royals, hugging and patting their backs or shoulders. Some even cried tears of joy. The nervousness and fear they had a few moments ago was gone in an instant.
Most of all, Calum's heart, mind, body, and soul… felt so light again. He started to feel so alive again! For the longest time, the curse only gave him pain and misery which he got used to as years went by to the point that suddenly feeling anew right at that moment was strange for him. But he was happy… so very much happy. And there was no more hatred and evil that kept itself lurking in his thoughts, weighing down his heart.
It was as if… he was reborn into a new body.
"Thank you, Elliot," Calum said. Exasperation was no longer in his voice. Instead, he smiled from the bottom of his heart towards his cousin.

Elliot smiled back at him the same and replied, "It was worth it."
"Awwwww… sniff… sniff," Lunaflora sobbed. "This is so touching. You both did so great." She then patted Calum and Elliot's shoulders and began to wail not long after. Luna was still the same, easily overcome by emotions. "I'm so proud of you."
Calum turned to face everyone. With a solemn look, he told them…
"Everyone… I—I deeply apologize for everything. Especially to the both of you," he turned to Clavis and Illuminaire, "and most of all, to you," he turned to Rania. For the very first time, he bowed his head, signifying his great regret. "I have done terrible things. Even the word itself wouldn't suffice to describe the depth of my actions. I have no excuse so all I can do now is apologize and atone for them. I'm not asking for forgiveness, but at very least, I owe you all a lot of apologies. I—"
"It's… alright," Rania said. "I forgive you."
How much those words meant—how much weight they carried into her heart, and how much painful it was, especially with the most recent and heart-breaking one, Zeid's lost memories—they could only imagine how "merciful" her heart was. Even to the point of forgiving the king who ordered the destruction of her planet and her people for their own needs, and to the point of forgiving something extremely hateful. No words could begin to describe how much it weighed in her heart.
Yes, it was all too painful and no one would be able to blame her if she decided not to forgive him but instead of hating him or getting her revenge, she chose to forgive.
Deep inside her heart, she thought that Elliot was right. Everything happened for a reason—including her planet's suffering and Zeid's memories. Everything was for the greater good. Not that the Supreme made the bad things happen but… He worked it out for everyone's good. So everything would turn around and so that salvation would come. There was a silver lining, an end goal wherein everything would be all okay and their planets saved. Those facts helped her gain deep understanding and grace and mercy.

Everything that happened had to happen for it to reach "that" moment in the future. And so, she understood. It was definitely not easy but still, she chose to forgive. She trusted in the Will of the Supreme.
Calum couldn't believe what he just heard her say. To forgive him that easily? No—it wasn't easy for sure but shouldn't she at least show any form of anger towards him? How? And why? How could someone have such a great heart? It was the same with Elliot and the twins. Yes, the Sortis twins forgave him, too. But why? He couldn't understand. For him, he deserved to be punished at least. He deserved to receive their hate.
Clavis and Illuminaire noticed Calum's perturbed expression. They chuckled and flicked his forehead, much to his surprise.
"W-what the—Why did you—"
"For a moment there, it looked like someone couldn't accept our mercy," Clavis jested. "Surely, what a dumb person he was. What did he expect? For us to throw tantrums like children and beat him up? Tsk tsk tsk."
Calum's eyes widened. "Did you just click your tongue?"
Indeed, it was his first time hearing the Wise Judge click his own tongue! He had always been reserved, serious, and mysterious like a prim and proper Ice Prince but now, he just clicked his tongue and flicked his forehead. Even his twin, the Oracle herself did the same! For a moment, he felt that they went back to their childhood. And that… made him chuckle. Soon, everyone else began to laugh.
What a joyous moment it was. At last, everything had become clear to everyone and they even managed to save a friend from death.
Like the enchanting twilight, all their questions finally met their answers. All the darkness finally met the light.
And now that everything was clear for them… it was also clear what they needed to do next.
Yes… finally, it was time to head towards the dawn!
But before that, they had to defeat the rest of the darkness…
Starting with the one who caused it all…
Avarus!

Return of the Woodcutter
Aito Walker was a self-proclaimed martial artist, a criminal, a broken man, and a fishing slave who later became a woodcutter before dying due to his heavy consumption of alcohol. With thousands of other humans, he is forcefully revived into a boundless grey space by the gods of a foreign world, Iris, to take part in a never-ending war waged against Fearmongers. A race capable of corrupting living beings and inducing fear, even the bravest of warriors cannot resist—when the Fearmongers do not kill them, that is.To bait humans into this conflict, the gods offer the mortals powers in exchange of eternal servitude and the completion of trials before finally entering Iris.Even though Aito doesn’t agree with it, he sees in Iris a chance to atone for his past misdeeds, in this fantasy world of swords and magic filled with many races, where everything seems possible. He will pave his own path despite the gods he despises trying to manipulate him into doing their bidding.Aito will start with almost nothing but his wit, a peculiar system, and increased strength—much like other revived humans.Bearing a sin—he could not, cannot, and will not forget—haunting him to this day, Aito will strive to regain what little honor he has left.He will suffer and, at times, fail. Taking advantage of his weaknesses, the Fearmongers, demigods, gods, and many others will hinder his path. But a powerful yearning will keep him from falling apart. An ever-burning flame melting away the despair and welding back the broken pieces of courage.A single desire.«I will find redemption no matter the cost.»………Or not, hun, who knows? The book isn’t done yet. Haha—SLAP!«Who put this guy in the synopsis narration?! Get him out of here and launch the warnings! Now!»***WARNINGS:— The MC is human. If you’re looking for a perfect MC, you’ll only be wasting your time here. However, if you’re looking for an MC who will LEARN, GROW because of his flaws. An MC who will try his hardest to overcome adversity, then you’re in the right place.— No harems. However, it doesn’t mean the characters can’t fool around without having love interests. A relationship isn’t necessary for people to satisfy their physical desires.— You will find a few typos, grammatical and wording issues, that’s certain. I’ll do my best to bring you guys quality content and such issues will either be nonexistent or extremely few. However, one man can only do so much. If I get enough support, I’ll hire an EDITOR that will look at the chaps with a fresh eye. And POOF! Issues no more. Improved quality. Happier author and reader. Not sure if the editor will be happy tho.— The first three chapters are fast-paced as to quickly get into the nitty-gritty but slow down afterward to give the story the time it needs to progress accordingly.— The book can, never mind, it will contain «strong» language, gore and violence.— Comedy, as you know it (and if you don’t, now you know) is subjective. So you might not like the jokes.— If you truly read that until the end you have my virtual congratulations ‘cause I sure as hell wouldn’t have done that.

Ætla Verǫld
AV Online was just a flash in the pan—a harsh, experimental land which lost most of its players in mere weeks. Only the dedicated few remained, carving out their destinies in corners of the vast abandoned world. Lily Quinn wasn't one of them. With a career worth millions in the esports world, she didn't have time for a game like Avo—but when an exclusive beta test for the new version showed up on her doorstep, she couldn't say no… as much as she wanted to. Literally hooked into the simulation, Lily reluctantly entered a world beyond anything she'd ever dreamed of. Accompanied by seven other beta testers desperate to save their beloved game, Lily dives into a vibrant, beautiful world, where mystery and adventure waits around every corner. Despite her reservations, Lily finds a joyful escape in Avo, shattering her cold, hollow reality. It was just a game though… until the group discovered they couldn't log out. Trapped in a game with no rules, and surrounded by cutthroat players eager to kill for a quick windfall, Lily and her ragged band have no choice but to fight their way out, or die in a game that has turned all too real. Hi there! I'm setting off on yet another adventure, come join me :3 Unusually for me, there's only one perspective this time, and it's quite a bit more action-oriented than I usually write. Don't worry, though: everything's still as character-driven as always, and I never get tired of writing dialogue. Just to acknowledge it up front: this story is heavily inspired by EVE Online and the many stories generated by that world. However, since this is a fantasy setting, not sci-fi, don't expect any real parallels. Chapter publish rate for this one will be whenever I write them, as with Epilogue. I don't expect to move as fast here though, since it's not for NaNo. The plan is chapters somewhere in the 4k-5k range, and hopefully frequently. The Last Science takes priority as always though. Special thanks to Reaver and Ace Arriande for pushing me to get this going, and to all my fellow writers whom I've stolen from been inspired by. You're all wonderful people and I love you Quick reminder: Patrons get to read ahead of what's published! Also, try my other works: The Last Science — A Tale of Modern Magic Epilogue — A Post-Fantasy Psychodrama What are you still doing on the synopsis? Get to reading!
