The next day…

Brina and Amelia met for lunch in Brina's suite.

Along with them is Charlotte and Hailey. However, Amelia didn't bring her cousin together.

As her cousin had to take a short trip back to their estate as Sir Francis asked her to come.

"Honestly, I didn't expect such an outstanding performance from you, Lady Brina." Amelia said to Brina as they sat down for lunch.

"Not that I am belittling you or marginalizing you. It is just that, these ladies here have been doing all of that stuff from their childhood. Our life goals and career are worlds apart from them. While they were getting groomed to become a Queen, we were chasing our other passion." Amelia said.

"In fact, I think you are highly capable of becoming a Queen. Though you haven't got groomed like them, you still managed to outrun their experience and forte. I got carried away by your skill." she chuckled.

"Amelia, Brina have just won one event. How were you able to come to a conclusion this soon?" Charlotte asked.

"Char, remember that I can read a person's personality and inner character. I studied it for years, so yes. I am sure Brina is a perfect rival for Olivia and Katherine." Amelia said.

"So, you aren't raised like Olivia, Katherine, Rebecca, Kiara and Phoebe?" Brina asked.

Amelia smiled. "No. I am more like Prince Edward. We both were never interested in this boring, heavy life. It feels like we are chained and restricted to live our life." Amelia answered.

She is close to Louis. Though she is the adopted daughter of his Uncle Francis, Louis and Amelia are like cousins.

"We have a few things in common. Just like how Prince Edward had no option but to take his responsibilities, I got forced to attend this competition actually." Amelia confessed.

"Sir Francis, is he forcing you to compete for Edward's hand?" Charlotte asked, slightly surprised.

Sir Francis knows that Louis has a girlfriend. In fact he said that he will support their love.

Amelia chuckled and shook her head. "No. Not my father. It's my house members and my greedy uncles. Dad just wants me to attend and then go back to Africa to continue my research. I came here just to keep my house stable and prevent any internal rifts." she truthfully answered.

Meanwhile, Charlotte looked at Brina and slightly nodded her head.

They just wanted to confirm that Amelia would not become an obstacle in their plan. They had to make sure that she wasn't interested in becoming Louis's Queen.

"I am sorry to hear that. I hope you get to chase your dream without any hurdles and pressures like these." Brina said.

Amelia smiled. "That research is my lifetime dream. I just hope that I can finish it with flying colors and then chase my love." she giggled.

"Love for Daniel?" Brina asked, making Amelia almost choke on her food.

Charlotte, who was sitting nearby, patted her back.

Even she is slightly shocked by Brina's sudden question.

However she understood that Brina decided to trust Amelia.

They have been observing Amelia since the day they arrived and Louis has also given a green flag to trust her.

Now, as they are trying to form an alliance, they have to be truthful to each other.

At one or other point, Amelia will find out about her relationship with Louis. It's better if Brina herself reveals it to Amelia and eliminates the scope of misunderstandings.

"Ahh.. ho.. how do you know?" Amelia asked, gulping her saliva.

No one knows about it except for Louis.

Could it be that Louis told Charlotte and Charlotte told Brina?

But she knows Charlotte.

She wouldn't utter a thing about what Louis shared with her.. until or unless the other party is trustworthy and loyal to Louis.

Meanwhile, Charlotte understood what's going on in this scholar's mind. She is sure that Amelia would have figured out the half truth by now.

"Amelia, why do you think I brought Brina here? As someone who is close to both of me and Edward, do you really believe that we fought with each other? Seriously?" Charlotte questioned Amelia.

"I had my own suspicion. But it's not totally impossible for you not to fight."

"Given the seriousness of the situation, I thought something big would have happened between you and Edward and that would have caused the fight." Amelia told, looking at both Charlotte and Brina.

"Well, my friend, I have to tell you that you are wrong." Charlotte chuckled.

"I and Edward didn't fight and the seriousness of the issue is much bigger and intense than what you think." Charlotte told Amelia.

"Brina is not just a friend to me, Amelia. She is Edward's girlfriend. The only woman he loves." Charlotte dropped the bomb.

It's not very usual for Princes to have girlfriends. Though they might have or had.. they are just merely flings.

At the end of the day, they have to marry a lady from Noble Families.

Seems like it's Ethan and Edward who would change the history of the Prince's rule.

Meanwhile, Amelia blinked her eyes.

She is shocked!

But not to the extent of losing her composed self.

Though she didn't predict that this might happen, Amelia was having her own suspicions that Brina is not any simple woman and she has some certain reason in coming here.

"Ahh.. now I understand. But, why did Edward arrange such a high security? Masquerade theme and no paparazzi.." Amelia asked, more like uttering to herself.

"I have some security problems. So, he was worried." Brina told her, however a voice interjected their conversation.

"I am not just worried. I am scared for you as well." Louis said, coming from her bedroom all in sudden.

He came through the secret chambers which open in the closet of her bedroom.

This time, Amelia was shocked!!

Ho.. how?

How did Louis just appear?

Meanwhile, Louis approached Brina and kissed her lips, from behind her chair.

It was just too intimate! How they kissed, how his head leaned down, engulfing her lips to his..

However, Amelia blushed. But not because of their kiss but because of her crush, Daniel who just followed Louis into the room.

Ahh.. he is looking so hot!
