The next day passed by in a blink of the eye. Brina mostly stayed in her suite, lazing around while Charlotte went to visit her family, the House of Landon.

Whereas, few of the other ladies kept practicing. But, Brina was not at least interested in taking part in their petty tricks.

Meanwhile, surprisingly Louis didn't visit her that night. He is busy.. well, busy caught up in the mess of his grandmother's nuisance!

On the very event day, Brina woke up very early. As Louis was not beside her, she felt cold and lonely. However, apart from this, the other reason is because she started feeling restless.

And, she thought that something is flagrantly fishy here. Although she is aware that something will definitely go wrong during the second event, she couldn't put her finger on what exactly it could be.

Wrapping herself in a fur blanket, which she brought along with her from her and Louis's penthouse, she sat down on the balcony, gazing at the palace buildings.

This blanket smelled of Louis and it gave her a sense of warmth that always emanated from him. It made her feel as if he was the one who was hugging her rather than the blanket.

Brina looked at the right side of the humongous palace where Louis's quarters were and she couldn't help but feel worry.

'Honey, why have you not contacted me yet? Are things that troublesome for you right now, because of your grandmother?' she thought worriedly.

'I just wish that we will just be fine. And, I miss you, honey.' she muttered, sighing out loudly before closing her eyes and burying her nose in the blanket. She started to feel tired and weak as well.

And, she didn't know when she dozed off but only woke up when Charlotte shook her shoulders. It's almost noon and Charlotte hasn't disturbed her because she was still assuming that Louis would be there with Brina.

However, she just found out that Louis is now in his grandmother's quarters and she rushed to Brina's suite.

"Brina, why are you sleeping here? Are you okay?" she couldn't help but ask. Brina blinked her eyes, still feeling groggy a bit.

Rubbing her neck, Brina yawned lightly with her hand clamped to her mouth.

"Mhmm.. I'm just sleepy. That's it." Brina said, standing up with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders. "Have you not slept properly? Didn't Louis come?" she asked, worriedly.

"Hmm.. no. And, he didn't even message me, let alone visit me." Brina said and she winced a little while standing up and she almost stumbled on her leg.

"Brina, are you really okay? What happened girl? Don't make me worry, alright! Today is your second competition anyhow."

Charlotte said, her hand involuntarily going for Brina's forehead. "I'm on my period. Second day.. so, I guess I'm having cramps, now." Brina told her friend as she slightly massaged her waist.

"And, your head is burning too!" Charlotte said, pursuing her lips.

"Is it? I'm feeling a little bit tired and weak as well. What would have happened? I am just fine till midnight." Brina said walking back into the room.

"Let's go to the Royal Medics." Charlotte suggested.

"Nah. Let's not make a fuss over it. I'm feeling as if something is awfully wrong here. I can manage.. don't worry, Char." Brina said, as she quietly checked her temperature and fished out her first aid kit.

She swallowed the tablets which are personally prescribed by 'one of the world's best doctors'.

"Now.. now, calm down. I'll be fine and if I still feel the same way after this, then we can go for a check-up after the competition, okay?" Brina told.

"And, please don't tell Louis alright. I don't want him to get worried." she said, before going for a bath.

'Why does she always neglect her health like this?! It's not even been two weeks since she got discharged from the hospital. If Louis finds out about this, he will surely kill me for hiding this from him.' Charlotte thought.

Almost crying out!

"Have she come, doctor?" Olivia asked the Chief Physician.

The Chief Physician gulped difficulty and with a shaking hand, she held her phone tightly.

She is dead afraid of what she was ordered to do. However, it is inevitable for her to not follow the command from Lady Olivia as the Queen Mother herself ordered her to do so.

"Lady Olivia, she has not yet come." she said, her voice caved in to Olivia's dominance.

"But you said that her fever would have kicked up by this hour! How come she is not here yet? Have you made sure that you really gave her a high dose?" Olivia asked, clenching her fist.

"Ma'am, I truly did add the high dose to Lady Brina's dinner last night.

By now, she should have been suffering from the fever and weakness that she must visit a doctor." the doctor informed Olivia.

Olivia's despicable plan doesn't stop with just a simple fever and heavy weakness. In fact, her cunning plan swims deeper than that. Her plan consists of booking Brina under the 'drug intake' case and making her disqualified to continue in competitions.

Though it is just a simple fever and intolerable body pains, as someone with full support of Queen Mother herself, it is nothing but a catwalk for Olivia to create fake reports.

She would have added the real drugs but the Queen Mother is against it. She is still someone who has moralities lingering in her.

Heh! What moralities? Who is she to joke with?

Moreover, Brina is merely simply a 'commoner' and on the brighter side, the house which is sponsoring her seems to be falling off its glory day by day. So, Olivia is confident enough that no one would dare to retaliate against her.

Even if they do, they wouldn't be able to win against Queen Mother and her House of Lykaios. But little she knows that the Crown Prince himself is backing Brina's back!

"Hmph!! You guys are really impotent in carrying out the orders! If I was a Queen, you people would have been peeled off from your roles by now!" Olivia flared up.

Though the Chief Physician felt her anger surging up, she is aware of the bitter truth that she is a nobody in front of Olivia, the Iron Lady of the Kingdom.

Moreover, Queen Mother Greta herself is backing this witch!…

"Brother, Brina didn't show up!" Olivia said, smashing the expensive flower pot, ragingly on the floor.

"That was why I said to use the aphrodisiacs and give her to me! You people are cowards!" her brother Owen said, cutting the steak with a harsh force.
