"Hmm," Ethan hummed in approval as he ended the call.

From the past few days Ethan has been working on this thing. His eyes were always glued to his wife so it didn't take him much time to notice Morgana's weird behavior towards his wife.

At first he thought that Governess is just being good to his wife out of pity.

But, it started becoming suspicious whenever her eyes brimmed with tears.

Those are happy tears.

While she stayed in the palace with them and came across how much the king and queen pampered Natalie, her eyes would always brim with tears and her lips would curve up in a warm smile.

Ethan of course noticed the same behavior many times. And, it didn't take him much time to think in a right track.

He knows that his wife is adopted by Harry's uncle. So, her real origin is unknown.

However, he noticed how Harry and Governess Morgana used to exchange the glances with happy tears.

This made him suspect how Natalie is connected to Brina's godmother, Governess Morgana.

So, the primary idea he got an ID to conduct the DNA test to his wife and Morgana.

It didn't take him much effort to collect the hair samples of his wife. When they were making love, he just plucked a two to three hours from her head.

In meanwhile, he had his men bribe the hairdresser who tends to Morgana on special occasions.

After collecting them, he cautiously sent them to his most loyal and trustworthy friend abroad. As Morgana, Sabrina and Harry were very cautious to hide the truth he understood the intensity of the danger.

So, he is overly cautious. Even now he insisted his friend use a satellite phone so no one can track the call.

Back to present…

"My suspicion is true," he thought.

It's early in the morning and his bed is cold. He was supposed to be making morning love to his wife but she is not here with him now.

She is with Brina and other girls. They just had a bachelor party and might be sleeping in hangover now.

"I want to know the truth" he spoke to himself.

And, the persons who could answer his questions are…

Brina.

Morgana.

Harry.

He didn't want to ask Harry because what he knows is just around fifty percent of actual truth.

And, he couldn't ask Morgana because it would turn awkward. She is after all his mother in law and professor.

So, at last he decided to ask Brina.

Meanwhile..

After an hour..

Brina is still asleep and the person sleeping beside her is Natalie. They crashed into the same room after yesterday's fun.

Being a light sleeper, Brina immediately woke up when her phone started vibrating.

She rubbed her eyes and sat down, still groggy.

"Ethan??" she whispered to herself when she saw the name that lit up on her phone.

She gazed at Natalie who is still asleep.

If he wanted to talk to his wife, he would have called her. But why did he call her instead??

Getting down from the bed, Brina tightened the sash around her night clothes before answering the call.

"Brina, we need to meet," Ethan right away said, not sparing time for pleasantries.

Brina frowned. "But I am in a different city," she said, confused by his anxious tone.

"I am waiting in the garden of your manor. Just come downstairs without informing Natalie" he said.

The frown on Brina's face got deeper. "Why?" she questioned him.

"It's very important yet confidential, Brina. Believe me, it is very important for me to know the truth" he said, his voice barely a whisper.

'Seems like he already found out the truth' Brina thought.

She is actually expecting this.

"Fine. But, the garden isn't actually a secured place. Why don't you come to the study room on the first floor? I will be there in ten minutes" Brina said.

"Okay, I will be there," Ethan answered before they ended the call.

Brina looked at Natalie who was still asleep and then went inside the bathroom to fresh up.

After ten minutes…

Brina walked out of the room, quiet and unnoticed.

And, then, she went to the study room in the manor.

"What is it?" Brina asked as soon as she came inside.

"It's about Natalie. I know whose daughter she is" Ethan answered.

Brina closed the door and then she walked to Ethan who was sitting on the chair in one corner.

She sat down and looked at him, gesturing to him to continue.

Ethan maintained his silence but handed over the DNA report to Brina.

"So, you indeed found out who Natalie's parents are, '' Brina said, her eyebrow raised.

"Correction. I found out who my wife's mother is. But not her father" Ethan said.

"True" Brina chuckled.

"And, I guess you are here to know who her father is, or, to be precise, why she got sent away" Brina added.

"Indeed. But, to be more precise, I don't care about why they abandoned her or who her father is. I just wanted to know if she has her own share of danger in this rebellion act" Ethan said.

Brina smiled. Her eyes suddenly dimmed by a bit.

Of course Natalie is in danger. But only if her identity gets out.

"Your smile is telling me that my guess is right" Ethan chuckled, however his voice is grave and tight with fear.

"She is, Ethan" Brina said.

As Natalie's husband, he has the right to know about it.

"Morgana, Natalie's mother is from the noble family of the fallen Kingdom, Phillion. And, during her studies in the academy, she fell in love with a person" Brina said.

Coughing a bit, she continued.

"That person is my uncle. To be precise, my step uncle, the head of the ongoing Rebellion" Brina continued.

Ethan is in shock.

So… so…

"Yeah, what you are thinking is absolutely right. Natalie is my cousin. A member of the Royal family, whose existence is not known to anyone except her own mother and a few of us" Brina said.

Meanwhile, the person who was standing behind the door, got even more shocked.
