'My dear Mr. Right, when would you appear in my life? Please come soon and save your Wifey from this dog food' she cried inside.

However, she raised her brow when she walked to the bed.

She pushed the web like fabric aside and she couldn't help but clasp her hand to her mouth to stop laughing out. 

She just saw handcuffs lying on the bedside table. 

Her friend… the strongest and ruthless one is curled on the bed as if she is a little kitten. 

There are purple, red blue and pink marks all over her shoulders and neck. Her long hair is disheveled yet she looked so beautiful and sexy.

Despite all the exhaustion, she has a pleasant and charming smile on her face. Her long eyelashes shined under the light. The black comforter contrasted her white milky skin, making it look more beautiful and supple. 

'Hahh, I will turn into lesbian if I continue seeing her like this' Katherine thought. 'No wonder Edward barely let her out of the bed these days' she incredulously thought. 

After coming back from the honeymoon, there wasn't much Brina could do. And, like before they had no places to go out and have fun. It's this boring, huge palace with guards everywhere…

So, they got permitted mostly to their quarters. 

Meanwhile... 

Katherine didn't know how to wake up Brina. Usually, she would jerk Brina's blanket and pull it off and Brina would wake up. However, now it is not possible. 

It would be embarrassing for both of them cuz she knew Brina has nothing on her.

'Edward, how should I wake her up? Suggest me please' Katherine texted him.

'Open the curtains and let the sunlight fall on her. If she still didn't wake up, play the ringtone on her phone. She will wake up' he texted back. 

As Brina's mobile is in silent mode and she didn't even wake up when the rays fell on her, Katherine played 'For you' song. 

That is Brina's personal phone's ringtone. Exclusively suited for the newly married girl.

Brina always wakes up alert when her mobile rings.

So, like every time, when Katherine played the song, Brina woke up and her hands searched for her mobile while her eyes were still closed.

"It's my phone, Beatrice," Katherine said, controlling her laughter. Brina is so cute… 

Brina woke up startled. With her arms holding her blanket, she looked at Katherine, "What are you doing here, Kath? I almost got startled, thank god it's you" she said, patting her chest. 

"I came to wake you up because you didn't answer my call" Katherine said.

"Did anything happen?" Brina asked.

"Yeah. Something happened so, you need to freshen up fast" Katherine answered. 

Brina nodded her head and gestured to Katherine to leave the room. There is no way she will let Katherine embarrass her more.

"What happened?" Brina asked as soon as she came out. 

She is wearing a white jumpsuit and as it's cold outside, she paired it with a fur scarf around her neck. At the same time it covered Brina's hickeys.

Katherine handed over protein shake to Brina, obeying to Louis's request. 

"We better show you rather than tell you" Katherine said while Eliina vigorously nodded her head.

"Gosh! What does this mean?" Brina asked, her eyebrows creased.

The seed she and Louis planted a few days back has started evolving into a sapling, long back . It was so healthy and was growing fast.

However, it was dead now. It totally bent down, touching the ground. The green healthy one has turned black and lifeless.

"It means you hold dark days, Lady Brina. It means you wouldn't be able to give birth to a heir" 

"See how lifeless it has become. I knew you weren't the suitable one to be the queen" Queen mother Greta scoffed.

Because of these words, Katherine and Eliina were very angry that they brought Brina here. Only she can teach lessons to this old geese.

Greta has gone beyond the bottom line this time. She even brought some old ladies with her. 

They are the old matriarchs of noble houses who are retired now. However, they hold power in their respective houses just like Greta. Especially, in the lady politics like these.

"Greta is right. This is a bad omen" another old lady nagged.

"Remember the first queen before the old king married Greta? The same thing happened with her and she couldn't give birth, leaving the old king to marry Greta who gave birth to King Edgar later" another old lady said, nagging. 

"It's sad that this seed died. Are Prince Edward and Lady Brina incompatible then? My granddaughter Katherine has always been the best choice..hmph" Katherine's grandmother said.

While the old ladies started making a huge fuss about it, even Queen Elora couldn't do anything.

Katherine's grandmother is her own mother. 

'Ahh, these old ladies are very scary people. Greta would have gone to great lengths in order to do this. Why am I having the feeling that old geese did this?' Brina thought inside. 'My kingdom never followed any of these lame and superstitious traditions' she sighed.

Greta almost jumped in joy when she saw Brina's blank face looking at the dead plant. 

'You, mere commoner would never be able to live in such a scheming place' Greta thought like an evil witch, which she is.

'See, how frightened you got just for this mere thing' she laughed inside.

Meanwhile, Brina bent down and touched the soil. She tested it with her fingers pressing on to the floor. 

"Stop your nagging please. Being the old matriarchs, you can't prejudge something like this. Isn't it the prime quantity a ruler should have? To ask for solid evidence?" Brina asked. 

"Young woman, don't act too smart. This is the tradition we follow and we believe. Being an outsider, you will never understand it" one of them hissed. 

"What is there to think further in this? Your plant just died" another person scoffed.

"Patience, old ladies. Why don't you just sit down a bit and have some tea? I have got my own suspicions here. Shouldn't I clarify them?" Brina asked, here voice stern yet respectful. 

And, she seemed thrilled and intrepid, like her old days.

Meanwhile, Greta scoffed. 

She never thought Brina was brave. For her, Brina was a happy go lucky commoner. Only if she would have known who Brina really is, she wouldn't have tried this little stunt of her.

Meanwhile, Brina clapped her hands and her personal bodyguard appeared. 

He gave something to Brina. It is some tester and when Brina inserted it into soil, the poison level in soil started measuring. 

"Huh! No poison at all. Did you think someone added poison into it?" Greta scoffed.

"Pardon me, Queen mother. This isn't a poison testing instrument. This just tests how much water is residual inside the soil. Could I know why you thought I am testing if poison is added in this?" Brina asked. 

Greta scoffed. Her face turned white for a split second. 'Is this woman trying to frame me' she thought. 

Meanwhile, other oldies looked at her suspiciously. 

"Wh.. What?? Th...that was just common sense. The.. This is an absurd question" Greta stuttered. 

"Your highness, why are you stuttering? Did something happen?" Brina innocently asked.

The suspicion started increasing because of Greta's incoherent words.

"Ar… are you trying to frame me, lady Brina?" Greta angrily asked. 

Brina shook her head, horizontally. "I would never dare to, your highness" Brina replied. 

"I was testing if water was more. Because plants die if the water is excess" Brina answered. 

"Even if fertilizers are more, plants die. I just wondered why Queen Mother specifically thought that it's poison" Brina said. 

"As Queen mother Greta doubts that it's poison, why don't we test it too?" Brina asked respectfully.

And, as soon as Brina said that, her bodyguard gave her another instrument. 

"Poison level 0" Greta read out loud. There was a smirk on her lips as she looked at others. 

"See, I have said it," she proudly said. "She is a bad omen at this dark times" 

Meanwhile, Brina started pretending ashen and broken.

With moistened eyes she looked at Greta, "Your highness, why do you hate me so much?" she pitifully asked. 

"It's not you I hate, lady Brina. It is just that you are no good to my grandson and more importantly you don't bring any profit to my family" she said, escastically. 

However, she bit her tongue for being so glib. 

Can't get my mouth refrained..ahh? 

She just openly declared that she doesn't want Brina to become queen. So, if any mishap happens now, she will be the prime suspect. 

Meanwhile, Brina smirked and then went back to the plant. 

She bent down on one of her knees but soon cursed under her breath. 

This Louis!! 

She is feeling as if her waist is being torn apart and her legs started buckling too.

However, she endured it. Thanks to her jumpsuit. No one can see her legs shiver. 

"What are you testing now, lady Brina? What else is left to see" Katherine's grandmother asked.

Her daughter became Queen. So, she wanted her granddaughter to become a queen as well. 

However, what Brina did now, shocked everyone. 

She pulled that plant out, with its roots. 

"You-!!" Queen mother scoffed.

"Brina, what are you doing dear?" Queen Elora asked, shocked. She is seriously worried about Brina now. 

There are many variations between her Kingdom and this kingdom. Unlike Kingdom Wentris who don't follow much of the traditions, the people here respect the traditions a lot.
