After some time…

"What happened, Rhianna? Why are you looking at the reports as if you were seeing eighth wonder?" Natalie asked Rhianna.

Brina is now in the call probably with Remus. As she met her cousin, Prince Griffin here and found out that he and Natalie are close, she got a little worried and decided to look into it.

Although it isn't suspicious, she couldn't risk it.

Meanwhile, "Ahh, nothing. It's just... " Rhianna is about to say, but her personal assistant knocked on the door before coming inside.

"Ma'am, the reports you asked" she said and gave it to Rhianna before going away.

Brina who was still in the call has her eye on what's happening inside. So she obviously saw that something is fishy inside.

"What happened?" Brina asked as soon as she entered back.

"Am I having any health issue?" she asked.

"I know that my body is fragile and due to the accidents I have been into, my body is weak to give birth. However, it isn't the case here, right? I am here for the shots" Brina added, getting nervous.

"I just asked you to have a full body checkup so that I could make sure you are healthy. It isn't a big deal" Rhianna added.

"Uhmm.. Brina, I have a last check up to do for you and after that Natalie has her half an hour appointment with her psychiatrist…. her last session" Rhianna added.

"Yep, at last I am free" Natalie cheered.

Seeing Rhianna acting normal, Brina sighed in relief.

"Then, let's get this last check up done. After that you can give me my shot and Natalie could visit her therapist" Brina said.

"Yeah, this way, please" Rhianna said, leading both Brina and Natalie into another hall.

However, only Natalie saw the creases on Rhianna's forehead. 'What happened?' she asked with her eyes.

'I think I am doomed' Rhianna said, pursing her lips.

…..

"An ultrasound?" Brina asked, furrowing her eyebrows.

Only she knows how much her heart beat has accelerated. She didn't understand why Rhianna wanted to do this.

It is almost like-

"Cool down. I want to know about other things. Just don't overthink and lie down all right" Rhianna said.

Seeing Rhianna stern face and tensed voice, Brina obliged to her request. However, her face started heating up and her heart thumped against her rib cage.

Rhianna spreaded the cold gel on Brina's stomach. "Cool down." she whispered, more like she is telling herself.

After sometime, all the color in Rhianna's face drowned and it turned pale.

"You have got to be kidding me. This is impossible" she gasped in shock.

"What happened? What's so impossible?" Brina asked, tensed.

Natalie stood up and walked to stand beside Rhianna.

"This?" she asked, shocked too.

"Guys, you are worrying me to death. Tell me what happened!" Brina asked as she craned her head upwards, trying to see.

Rhianna moved the monitor so that it is facing Brina.

"This is shocking and unexpected but, Brina, you are pregnant," Rhianna said, her voice incredulous.

"Ho.. How? I..I go… got my shot, ri.. right?" Brina asked, stuttering.

The color in her face drained out too and her fingers trembled.

Man.. Louis will be furious now.

He said it is the last thing he wanted. He said he isn't ready to share her yet, at least not for two more years.

But here she is, pregnant even before their one month anniversary.

"Yeah, that is what 's surprising and shocking. I couldn't believe the results, so I even did this ultrasound Rhianna said.

Showing the little pea, a dot like structure on the screen, Rhianna said, "It's the baby"

When Brina saw it, she didn't know how to react.

Her emotions are so unfathomable and overly complicated now.

She is happy….

At the same time she is scared.

She is excited…

At the same time she knew she wasn't prepared for this.

She felt her heart warm up with motherly love

But at the same time she is hell scared.

Scared of losing the baby and scared of the consequences.

She is in the middle of the war now…

She has to be strong, but… she is now, in her weakest point.

"Brina??" Rhianna shook her shoulders, bringing her back from her reverie.

"You spaced out," Rhianna said.

"Spaced out? Pardon me, I am in despair now. This is totally unexpected and I and Louis aren't ready yet."

"On the first place, this isn't the right time to. For God's sake, I am standing right in middle of the waging war whose main target could be me!"

"I was already worried about Will and how to protect him. But now, I have to think of a way to protect my baby too. If something happens to baby, I can't forgive myself for all my life" Brina dead panned.

"Wait, Rhianna, are you sure this instrument is not broked? It could be showing some random-" Brina stopped when she saw Rhianna shook her head with pursed lips.

A tear rolled down Brina's cheek.

"Wh….What should I…. I do now?" she asked as she covered her face with her hands.

"And, why should this happen to me? Don't I deserve some tensionless life for at least a month? Now, more than this rebellion and more than everything, I am worried for my kid" Brina said, her voice choked.

Rhianna already knows how sensitive Brina is, when it comes to children and babies.

Her seven years nephew is in a critical state because of her. She lost her other unborn niece/ nephew when her sister in law and her brother died.

To fill that void, she used to run an orphanage. But now….

Her own baby is in danger, all again because of her.

Besides this, she is still unaware of how Louis would react. This is the only thing he is strict and very firm about…

God is indeed cruel to her..

"Sshh… Sshh… everything will go just fine, dear" Rhianna said as she took Brina into her embrace and comforted her.

"No, nothing will be fine till the Rebellion and my enemies are stopped" Brina said, crying on her friend's shoulder.

If there is anything Brina is emotionally fragile about, it is children and her family.

Now, it is a child and the closest person to her. Her own flesh!! Of course she will be worried!

"I understand Brina. But, hey, listen to me" Rhianna said, parting from the hug and sitting on her chair back.

"I am not done yet. I know you aren't ready to take this, but, I have another bad news for you" Rhianna said, her eyes teary too.

Natalie is already on the verge of crying when she sees Brina and her plight….

"Another bad news?" Brina asked, her voice cracked.

"Hmm" Rhianna said.

"The fetus is weak and unstable." she said and it is like another heart attack to Brina.

Does that mean the chances of miscarriage is high?

"Tell me, are you and Louis having rough sex?" Rhianna asked.

Brina just nodded her head. Of course they are having it rough!

So rough!

"I see. It is already wonder that you didn't have had miscarriage yet. Your baby is a survivor" Rhianna said, trying to assure Brina.

"How old is the fetus?" Natalie asked.

"Two weeks are even less, in approx. As this is an early stage, I can't tell exactly" Rhianna answered.

Brina mentally calculated and realized that she got pregnant during her honeymoon.

"As the fetus is weak, what should Brina do?" Natalie asked.

"Bed rest. No physical stress, including sex. And, some stressless time, somewhere far from all of this mess" Rhianna said.

She heard what Queen mother Greta did and she also heard how stressful each court meeting will be.

"Alright," Brina said, her hands resting on her stomach. "But I don't know how to break this to Louis," she added, pursing her lips.

"And, another vacation? Louis wouldn't be able to make it as he is always busy. And, I am sure he will not send me anywhere without him" Brins said.

"We will sort it out, okay? Let's talk to mom, dad and come up with an alternative" Natalie said, hugging Brina.

"Ethan is there too. He can help Louis and share the burdens" she added.

Brina just nodded her head.

"Brina, I and Natalie will be waiting in the office room. Dress up and come out, okay?" Rhianna said.

Natalie got the hint and followed Rhianna out. Brina needs some alone time to sort out her thoughts.

"I feel bad for her," Natalie said.

"But, how did this happen? Shots are very effective" Rhianna said. "I was using them for a year and you have been under shots for almost three months now. Nothing like this happened to both of us and as a doctor, I didn't see any of my patients complaining that shots failed"

"Are you saying shots didn't fail naturally?" Natalie asked.

"That's just my suspicion." Rhianna whispered.

Meanwhile, Brina dressed up and she washed her face too.

Though her face looked a little pale and her eyes were still filled with worry.
