"However…"

"However, what Rhianna?" Louis angrily asked.

Impatient and annoyed.

He is already frustrated and very helpless.

To be frank, even he doesn't know why he is this angry in the first place.

Is it because someone is trying to harm his wife and baby?

Or…

Is it because of something else?

Honestly, he doesn't know the answer.

He just felt like this unfathomable anger taking over him. And, he couldn't bottle it up in his heart ..he just couldn't and he didn't know why.

Rhianna bit her tongue. Totally terrified!

This is something she never expected. Louis was always playful, friendly and patient. Just, totally different from now.

"Louis, you need to calm down son. If you are angry like this, you would trigger Brina's stress again. She just woke up and she is still exhausted."

"Moreover, see how frightened Rhianna is. You totally scared her!" Queen Elora chided him as she walked into the room.

Following her, King Edgar, Ethan, Natalie, Eliina and Katherine came inside too.

Meanwhile, when Louis noticed the tearful eyes of his wife, his anger got suppressed, leaving him with remorse.

What the hell is he doing?

He shouldn't let his anger take over him! He shouldn't let it control him!!

Especially not when his wife needs him the more. She is confused and scared just like him. A little more than him, actually.

If there is something she is looking forward to, it would be his warmth, comfort and assurance.

He is not yet sure of assurance yet, but he could give her warmth and comfort.

Louis pursed his lips and closed his eyes, controlling his anger. After a few seconds his overwhelming anger subsided.

"I am sorry. I was just…. I don't know. It's like something took over me" Louis excusef, pinching the space between his brows.

"That's called 'parental love'" King Edgar smiled at his son.

When Louis was inside, Natalie told everyone about Brina's pregnancy. It was when Ethan understood why Brina was so angry at Greta and was very worried.

He doesn't blame Brina for firing at him. He understood her situation and helplessness. And, she is right about coming clean with her father.

If this is really Greta's doing, then there is no way she would escape from the punishment.

He felt like keeping this secret from his father is not good. So, he came clean. He told his father how vicious his own mother was.

And, right from the start, Edgar had no immense love for his mother. It was just respect.

A formal respect to the Elder. As he never had a happy childhood and parental love, he was not that connected to his parents. At least not with his mother.

His father was a very good person. However, because of the heavy pressures and responsibilities as King, he couldn't spend much time with his son.

But, when he was at home, all Edgar got was a headache. A headache from the quarrels of his parents! So, King Edgar never craved to get love from his mother anymore.

That hope died long, long back.

However, now, after knowing how inhumane his mother acted, the remaining ounce of the respect vanished too.

All he could feel now is hatred and disgust.

Meanwhile, Louis didn't know if it was parental love like his father said or something else. However, he knew that it was a strong sense of security he felt towards his wife.

But his anger actually scared her and overthink too much.

"I am sorry, baby. I shouldn't have fired up like this" Louis said as he walked to Brina and hugged her. Pressing her face to his stomach as he stood at the edge of the bed while Brina sat on the bed.

Brina smiled at him, holding his hand, she said, "I understand. There is no need to be sorry"

Louis smiled at her and kissed her forehead before sitting beside her and holding her in his arms. "Thanks for understanding. I didn't meant to frighten you"

When Brina inhaled her favorite manly scent and heard his words, she felt all that discomfort wash away.

"I am sorry for firing at you as well, Rhianna" Louis apologized to both her and her assistant.

"That's fine. I got to see the angry version of you, which is extremely rare" Rhianna said, smiling at him.

She somehow understood how he was feeling...

This is all sudden, scary and confusing.

When he cooled down and everything came back to normal, King Edgar asked,

"Rhianna dear, continue what you were saying"

"Yes, uncle" Rhianna answered. As she is also like a family Edgar insisted on calling him uncle, rather than your highness.

"What I was saying is, Brina sent me the sample of tonics Aunt Elora gave her. As those were the only intakes Brina took without fail in this whole month, she suspected that it was added with something that neutralises the shot she is given" Rhianna said.

"I got two samples, the tonic which she was using for a month and the other one she just got yesterday from aunt Elora," she added.

"And, as Brina suspected, the first tonic was added with some different herbs that neutralises shots effort. That was the reason Brina got pregnant" she said.

"While this new tonic has some other herbs which kill the baby and make Brina miscarry. If she would have took this for thirty days, she would have become incapable to give birth"

"Thank God, she found out about these and asked me to test" Rhianna sighed in relief.

Meanwhile, everyone is in shock.

The history would have repeated itself. Louis wouldn't have left Brina but she would have been incapable to give birth.

Thanks to Brina that she figured it out soon.

Getting pregnant is okay. Though they weren't ready, they had this whole big family which will help them to become good parents.

Yes, they are in the middle of the war, but yeah, compared to losing the baby and no chance of becoming a mother, it is okay.

There are people who would sacrifice themselves just to protect the baby.
