"Their marriage is nothing but an act to protect herself and strike for revenge" he added, not accepting the truth.

He actually chose to not accept it and he firbidded himself in thinking this way.

Layla laughed as if she was listening to the joke of the eon.

"I thought you knew her, Nickolas!! But I realized right now that you understood her very, very less. Although you were there with her for many years you were just able to explore the tip of the iceberg about her" she mocked.

"Brina is not someone who marries or loves someone just to rely on them. She relies on the person she loves the most and trusts the most." Layla said.

She still remembers what Louis used to tell her. She remembers all the phases he went through to make her love him and more importantly trust him.

Unlike Nickolas who stopped just loving and admiring her, Louis has in addition to that, understood her and comprehended everything about her to his heart.

That is the reason he is able to make her love him back. He was not only able to express his love but was also able to convince her to open up to him and trust him.

And that is why although they have faced the problems which questioned the trust and love for each other, they were able to pull along because they understand each other very well.

On other hand, Nick was not able to do that and that was the reason he misunderstood her hesitance to look down at him.

Meanwhile, Nick just looked at Layla, expecting her to finish her reasoning.

"What I mean is, When Brina fell in love with my best friend she doesn't know who he really is. Moreover, she is not someone who relies on others. You know it too well" Layla told him.

"She was the CEO of S & S corporations. You don't know that because you never gave her that sense of trust. That is why she had kept many secrets from you and that is why you were totally unaware of the powerful connections she had outside the Kingdoms."

"She definitely didn't tell you everything that is why you were not able to figure it out that she escaped."

"Well, coming back to the point, she has another side of family, an extended family which is powerful enough to help her and give her a new identity" Layla said, referring to Harry and her father.

No one in the kingdom knows Brina's mother's maiden family because her father made sure to cover all the tracks. When they failed to pass his test, Brina's mother severed all her ties with them.

After that he worked on that and covered all his wife's real information with fake ones. Only some loyal people in the kingdom know about her real past life.

So, Brina used that opportunity to get her new identity.

Moreover, no one thought Brina was alive, so they never went that deep in investigation.

Meanwhile, Nickolas sighed.

So, she really loves her husband.

He still couldn't believe it!!

And, marriage?

He never thought she would agree to that.

After all, she took years to accept his proposal and a few more months to agree for

engagement.

Even after their engagement, she agreed to marry after a few more months of persuasion.

And, she insisted to give at least a year of gap between the engagement day and Wedding day.

But, with her husband. It was hardly months.

She indeed moved fast but he knows her at least this much.

If she trusts someone and believes that they are loyal and truly cares for her, she would give all of her heart to them.

"See, that's her husband" Layla said and by the time Nickolas saw, he couldn't see the face but he could only see how passionate their kiss was.

He scoffed at himself. Never have he and Sabrina shared such a passionate kiss.

In all the years of their engagement, their kiss was simply no more than pecking the lips and even that was rare. It was once in a blue moon and even that was robotic one. No emotions, no passion.

She used to just hug him and peck him on his cheeks, which was her general gesture to her friends and loved ones.

Even Remus and James used to get the same, although they were just her friends.

She was never intimate with him.

They didn't share the room even once in all the years. Not even the house with just two of them!!!

She always said she doesn't like it if someone invades her private space. She was totally against physical affection!!!

But now, seeing her husband passionately kissing and hugging her, he felt as if his heart would burst out with jealousy and pain.

It intensified when he saw the lovey dove look on Brina's face after they parted out. She looked so blissful and content. She actually looked like she was craving for more!!!

And, that love in her eyes....he never got that loving gaze from her, not even one percent of it.

Her purple eyes were always cold and indifferent. Her cherry lips never curved up into a blissful smile with him.

But the real heart ache and agony took over him when he saw the face of her husband.

With one look, he knows who that person is.

Greyish black eyes, black hair, that devilishly charming face, that formidable aura….

Prince Edward!!

Nickolas couldn't help but laugh at himself like a mad man.

Ahh! These both are really destined.

When they all were in Alpha Academy, one night he saw Sabrina sneaking out of her room, so secretly with an exciting and lovestruck expression. He never saw her that excited and thrilled.

So, he followed her quietly and when he saw her going on to the terrace of one of the buildings, he got more anxious and curious.

He followed her only to see her meeting a man who was already waiting for her.

When they got close to each other, almost on the verge of removing their face masks and exposing their real identities, only he knew how jealous he was.

Sabrina never exposed her identity or showed her face to others. Not even her best friend (Katherine).

But with this man....

She was even ready to kiss!!! It was too obvious for Nick that Sabrina was in love. It boiled him from inside.

He was proposing to her continuously yet she rejected him. And, here, she was about to kiss a man.

When Nick saw them kissing, he couldn't take it anymore.

To distract them, he made his camera flash at them and successfully ruined the kiss.

However when that light flashed on their faces, he recognised that it was Edward the prince of Kingdom Aletros kissing Sabrina.

Nickolas felt his jealousy flare up.

He remembered what Sabrina's brother Seth told him once.

Sabrina was Edward's childhood sweetheart and their families were very enthusiastic to see them getting together in the future.

However, due to some political problems they severed their relationship and if it wasn't because of that, Sabrina and Edward would have already been dating each other. Probably already engaged and might be, even living together.

Seth told him that their relationship has always been special.

And when Nick remembered that special relation these both shared, he was adamant not to let them get together.

It was because the chances of Edward and Sabrina getting married were very high even though their kingdoms weren't in a good relationship.

Sabrina's father would never say no to her!!
