Chapter 5: Isekai with Truck-chan
I was a NEET in my past life. I died after I got ran over by a truck one day when I went back from the convenience store.
Pitying my unfortunate death, the Goddess sent me to another world with the same truck that killed me; its driver would serve as its spirit for as long as I live.
On top of that, I also got few Cheat abilities. Things like the [Status], [Item Box], [Language Translation] and [Appraisal]. It's strong, not overpowered but it's more than enough for me who'd prefer to be low key. She also gave me a special ability related to my past life, that might become very strong if I utilized it well—she told me to check it out after I got reincarnated.
She said, to become the strongest I can be, as strength was the most important thing for that world. The abilities I got were necessary since my starting point was much lower compared to the native residents. I might have to work hard; something I found it hard to do—otherwise, I wouldn't be a NEET in the first place.
When I asked the Goddess, how did the truck and the driver also got reincarnated? It seems the driver was drunk at that time. After running over me to death, the truck went and crushed a few properties before it rammed the safety railway, falling onto the nearby lake.
I was pretty sad, not because I left my family in this world—had no friends outside the internet but I was sure they'd forget me soon enough. My family probably would be sad to see my leave, as they would lose a potential soul to exploit in labor, just in case they lost their patience.
What made me sad was because, the Goddess told me there wouldn't be any internet, anime, manga, games. Though her next words assured me: I'd be able to enjoy such things when I became stronger and especially level up the capabilities of my truck.
The world might be those of generic swords and magic but as the Administrator of the next world refused to reveal the details to her for the thrill of surprise, I couldn't help but sigh.
This wasn't a child play anymore, but no worries. I dispelled all the negativity in my past life which caused me to end up jobless. Maybe I could achieve great things with my own abilities. I could say my looks weren't half-bad either, maybe I could pile-up my fame and build a harem! As much as I hate riding the same thing which killed me, it'd kick ass so bad, hearing its thundering sound of this death machine, mowing down mobs and netting me loads of exp.
Couldn't I also retrofit it, like in the story, My MCV, and Sexy Esper Harem?
To my question, the Goddess said, there'd be a lot of ways to improve my truck. The ways like collecting monster cores and various materials such as wood, ore, and stuff, just like in the MCV story. The truck could also become stronger along with me, naturally, as me or my party members kill it. There were other ways she told me to discover on my own.

The truck could also be healed by recovery magic and used food items as fuel. For the other details, she told me to experience it firsthand—if she explained it all in one go I wouldn't understand it anyway and my mind would be too preoccupied with it and forgetting the important stuff I have to do.
With that in mind, she bade me farewell and sent me to another world.
The next thing I knew, I sat in the driver's seat of this truck. Come to think of it, I had not driven a car even once in my past life—not even a motorcycle, even.
In the first place, I did not like going outside and if I could drive, my parents and even my little sister would constantly nag me to be their driver, instead of me able to laze around all day.
It's better doing household chores since I didn't have to bother going outside that much. Even if I were to run errands by going to stores, at most it'd just be of walking distance or taking a bus. Nah, I just didn't like driving.
Though in here? All I saw was just a wide patch of forested area with dirt roads—no traces of asphalt even.
Huh?
I thought I saw something speeding at the distance. It had a shape similar to a car, but it also had the big box in its rear. There didn't seem to be any doors or windows though.
A damn friggin' sentient small truck was out for my blood! It had red lights blinking and loud whirring engine noise which caused my hairs to stand on it send.
I hurriedly tried to look for the keys, but before I even reached out, there was a sudden acceleration from the truck; causing airbags to pop out the steering wheel. The pillows were really soft, though the massive rumbling and damn scary thunderous sound of engine scared the hell out of me.
This truck had turned into a monster! A demon, even!
I clutched the airbag pillows as I braced the moment I crashed into the smaller truck, but all I felt was the truck's position shifting 'bit upwards, and...
"Nom."
There were sounds of crunching flesh instead of a metal; I felt like I was about to throw up, with the truck continuously shiting up and down. In front, there were series of frightening rumbling sounds of truck engine blasting in full power, at the corner of my eyes, there seem to be lights flickering on/off at much rapid pace.
I hugged the pillow even tighter, hoping it would neutralize a good amount of the shaking.
As if noticing my condition, the truck's 'chewing' got slower and the maddening noise it emits ceased a bit. It took a good few minutes of the motion before it finally stopped, with a loud hissing noise as smokes were vented out of all the truck's pores.

It's like, the truck burped after having a hearty meal—damn it was very strange. Looking up to the state in front of me, I was completely baffled.
The insides of that truck weren't patches of metal, but its more similar to a monster's organ. I didn't know what to understand anymore, this was just too much for me.
There was a violent 'cough' coming from the truck, as it jumped and jerked forward violently; if not for the airbag, my chest might get bludgeoned by the steering wheel. Since it could move on its own, what's the purpose?
Before I could even exhale of relief, the truck abruptly vibrated. A blinding light seems to envelop the entire truck and I closed my eyes soon after.
[Swallowed the core of monster 'Small Truck' and digested enough materials, commence power-up?]
What's this, a System message? I thought I wouldn't have any System-like stuff except the status. Was it the robotic voice of a girl? I thought the driver was a man?
[Hey, you blockheaded partner who can't drive for goodness sake. I want to get stronger already, wouldn't you please hurry up?]
"Err....what?"
When I heard of it again, why did the voice seem like a tsundere?
[I wish to use the core to adjust my interior. Since you didn't seem to know any stuff, leave this up to me.]
"Okay? What should I do then?"
[Until you could reach the town, nothing much. Just stick close to me, listen to me carefully and don't get yourself killed. I know your low attention span since I checked the Status right away, so I'd tell you this—open your eyes.]
"Hmm...this looks more like an MCV now!"
Instead of the narrow driving seat that was separated from the box, there was a gap which leads to the box part, which transformed into living quarters: a kitchen with a fridge, sofa for sleeping, cupboard, weapon racks, and reinforced windows all over. There's also a toilet on the corner, with a closed stall. There weren't any bathroom yet, but at least the toilet had it's own shower and cloth stands.
Since the truck was quite big, there was a spot enough for me to stand. It helped since I was only around 175 cm tall.
Hmm, there's enough space to laid out a futon, but the truck told me to sleep on the sofa. Since the voice was that of a girl, I'd prefer it as a 'she'.
The reason being, the ride might be quite rough and the cores weren't enough for her to upgrade for my own comfort. She would focus on its combat prowess first but when she was confident enough, she'd just upgrade the sofa's shock absorption so I could sleep and relax at the very least. The living area too, to some extent,, so the plates with food wouldn't be jumping all over the place as soon there's a significant impact.
"So, there's nothing for me to help with?"
[Nothing, for now, you're a NEET after all. No need to rush so much, just leave to this uncle right here.]
"..but your voice was that of a girl though."
[Huh? You're right. This uncle, however, had always dream to be a girl in the next life.]
"Do you like men, in any case?"
[Of course not, what are you talking about? I came to this another world to make a harem of cute girls and we'd do our best to become the strongest, well not that I had any hopes of you though.]
...huh.
"A Yuri harem?"
[There's the option to enable my human form if I advanced enough and Yuri all the girls I fancy. The truck would still be there though. Ah, why the hell the one who'd ride this uncle first was a sloppy-looking unreliable guy?]
Was I really that useless? I was pretty decent at household chores though and I could also cook.
I checked my status and I couldn't help but let out a smirk.
"Hey, are you sure I was that useless? Did you ever check my abilities, huuuuh?"
I didn't know how but I thought about [Status Sharing] and immediately the part I wish to show popped out.
[Status]
...
Class: NEET
Gain experience (general/job/skill/etc.) to level up, in proportion to the current level, without having to do anything.
...
[Fuuuuuuu! Why it's always the most useless guy who always get the most overpowered skills? It's always like that in the stories, this uncle was not amused.]
"Was it really that OP? We didn't even know how fast the experience gain was. Besides, I'd be too lazy to learn any useful skills anyway."
[Ha! That is it! Say goodbye to your lazy life—I'm going to put you in a lifetime of studying until you manage to learn all the skills I want.]
"...damn it."
I immediately regretted having such fraudulent skill, as, in the future, I'd be too busy to even think about lazing around.
If only I knew this, I wouldn't show off in the first place, but this might be unavoidable in the first place. If not, she wouldn't deliberately try to provoke me to show off.
...and so, my journey in another world began with this Yuri truck.
