2 months went in peace, with Adrius just doing experiments and cultivating. It was only 1 day before the yearly exam, Adrius was ready for it, he had his spells and he had finally made a breakthrough in Creeping darkness and now he can activate it but only for a short time. So his confidence rose up.

Adrius currently in the academy’s library, he was looking at the history books so he can understand this world's history better. Because no matter how much he reads there is always something that surprises him.

Adrius was reading and didn’t even notice the looks that he got from everyone, he was very famous in the academy and his white mask also was known throughout the academy so when they saw him walk in they were expecting a fight but it didn’t happen he just sat down there reading.

Finally a girl and a boy got the courage to walk up to Adrius and talk to him, everyone thought that these two would get beaten up.

They finally got in front of Adrius, they wanted to speak but couldn't. They were scared that they would anger this monster and he would beat them.

Finally the girl had the courage to speak: “ Mr Adrius do you have time to speak?”

Adrius then noticed them, he looked up and the girl’s body was shivering. His eyes were all black, they didn’t have any white, she saw the abyss by just staring into them.

Adrius then said:” What do you want?”

The boy beside the girl talked before the girl could say anything:” We need your help, my sister here was poisoned when we got out to do an academy mission. And you are a toxicologist, so we figured that you can help us, and we are ready to pay”

Adrius thought about it for a minute and then said: “ How much are you willing to pay?”

“We have 6 magical stones”

“ Okay I will do it, follow me” Said Adrius standing up.

The crowd watched silently as the deal went, then someone said something that made everybody look at him and even caught Adrius’s attention: “ Yeah like he can cure poison? He is nothing but a scam, but my master is the real deal” The guy who spoke was 15 he had red hair, gray eyes, he looked above average. Someone in the crowd couldn’t hold it in and started talking to their friend:” It is Kyle Rumanos, he is the disciple of the only healing magus in the academy”

Adrius looked at Kyle up and down several times with his weird whiteless eyes. Kyle was creeped out by his gaze so he said:

“What are you looking at weirdo?” Asked Kyle, his master had a very bad relationship with Croft so it was his business too.

Adrius shrugged and then said: “ nothing, just saving your looks, see you tomorrow” A spark was in Adrius’s black colored eyes.

The people in the library couldn’t believe their ears, Adrius just threatened someone in front of everyone. And he threatened someone who has a powerful magus backing him.

Adrius then walked out with the siblings, and got to Croft’s lab. Adrius opened the door and walked in, Croft was doing Croft stuff so he didn’t care about Adrius coming in. But when he heard a lot of footsteps he looked up and saw the two siblings.

He then looked at them and said: “ And who the hell are you to enter my lab without permission?” Croft didn’t like anyone entering his lab without permission, of course Adrius was a special case because he is his apprentice.

The two siblings didn’t know what to do except for bowing to Croft and saying: “ We don’t dare to enter without permission, professor!”

Adrius then spoke: “ Relax professor they are with me. I made a deal to heal the girl”

Croft then nodded and got back to what he was doing.

Adrius brought the two siblings to his lab, it was a room in the lab that was given to him by Croft.

When the two entered they saw a lot of things that made their mouths open wide, they saw a human’s skeleton standing like a doll, parts of animals and humans in jars with liquid in them. And there was a big table in the middle of the room.

Adrius then wore his lab coat, came in front of the poisoned girl and spoke:

“ I will take a blood sample now” Saying that he took out a needle and started to draw blood from the girl. He then put a drop of blood on a glass and put it under the microscope: “ So what poisoned you?”

“I don’t know actually, I was fine throughout the mission but when I got back my body became weaker”

Adrius had a question in his mind, how did they go on a mission from the academy? The academy’s rules say that only rank 2 and 3 magus apprentice can go on missions. But these two both are rank 1. He didn’t ask eventually and started working.

After a while of him making experiments on the blood. He figured out which poison it was: “ You have the poison of purple mountain flower, it is a flower that is purple and only grows on mountains thus the name. But fortunately for you the poison of purple mountain flower is very easy to cure.

Hearing that the stress that the siblings had vanished.

Adrius then took out his contact book and communicated with someone. After 1 hour of waiting someone knocked at the door.

“ Come in” Said Adrius,

A pretty girl wearing servant clothes walked in, she had black hair that was tied in a pony tale, beautiful green eyes and she wore glasses too. It was Mary, Adrius’s servant. She has been his servant for 2 months now. She had a bag with her. She then bowed to Adrius and spoke: “ Master, this is all the ingredients you’ve asked for”

Adrius nodded: “ Good job, you can go now”

Mary bowed again and walked out. The brother’s eyes didn’t leave Mary for a second, Adrius noticed it but didn’t talk. Mary was a pretty girl and has become very popular these days. Even some boys came to Adrius asking to buy Mary, but Adrius said no because he has a different plan for her. And he needed a servant right now, and Mary came to him free so why not keep her.

Adrius then started to make the antidote, after 30 minutes it was ready. The antidote was very easy to make and only required 3 ingredients, a purple mountain flower, yellow fox blood and white tree leaves. The yellow fox is a type of fox that doesn’t get affected by purple mountain flower poison. A white tree is a normal tree but it’s leaves are white and have healing effects.

He then poured the antidote in a tube and got in front of the siblings: “ Your money” Demanded Adrius

“Here it is” The brother gave him the 6 magicals stones.

Adrius then gave them the antidote and they walked out.

Adrius then sat down alone in his lab thinking about tomorrow, he has reached the peak of 19 points he can breakthrough if he wants but it will only bring him trouble, so he decided to stay in rank 1 until the yearly exam ends. And then he can advance.

He then took out ingredients from a cabin and started working on something,

‘ Killing is allowed, then why not make poison to make it easier?’
