《Magus Of Darkness》Chapter 24: Yearly exam III

Back at the room the magus was watching from, a laughter rang through the room. It was Croft’s laughter, he was laughing and saying in his head: ‘This fucker made a new poison! It looks familiar but he made some adjustments and made it his own. I really was lucky by picking this student, who thought that a student I chose out of boredom will be talented?’
All the magus were pissed at Croft but Katherine was the most annoyed out of them, she hated Croft and his apprentice's to the bone. She was a healing magus, she chose this profession to help people and make new medicine, even though she was at a dark magus area, she wasn’t a dark magus she only joined the academy for resources and protection. And Croft is the opposite of her, he made poisons and toxins to kill people and he liked doing it. They were like fire and water, they can’t get together!
“Croft that is enough!” A voice rang throughout the room, it was the headmaster. When Croft heard the voice he shut himself, but he was still happy inside his head.
Meanwhile Adrius was walking and thinking: ‘ Creeping darkness worked! But if my understanding is correct then I can only use it for 10 seconds. Anyhow I should find more people and get more badges.’
He wanted to continue walking but then he heard his stomach asking for food: ‘ That's right I haven't eaten at all today, and it is already night. I should find something to eat and sleep’
He then hunted a rabbit and ate it, then he started to look for a place to sleep. He finally found a cave and walked in and slept.
The next morning Adrius woke up, he checked his traps and was sure that no one entered or got out while he was sleeping.
He then started the search for people again, like this went the second day in the exam, Adrius has hunted 15 people and his badges has risen to 22. He was holding his badges in his hands because his pouch couldn't hold them all. Adrius thought it was annoying until he found a thing the magus didn’t mention about the badges, it can absorb other badges!

‘ I’m pretty sure that bastard didn’t say this intentionally’ Cursed Adrius in his head, he would not cuss out loud because Croft already told him that the magus of the academy watches the yearly exam live. So if he cusses an official magus and that magus hears him, he might take offense and Adrius will probably die for disrespecting an official magus. The normal students can also see the exam, Adrius wasn’t afraid that they have seen his face because Croft can alter the footage in a second to hide his face.
He examined the badge again to see if there was anything he hadn’t discovered, there was nothing about it. It looked like the raven on his school uniform but now it has the number 22 shining in the middle.
Adrius then put it down and slept, he woke up the next day doing the same thing he hunted and hunted for students and nothing out of the ordinary happened. He did that until the sixth day, while he was killing somebody he heard him threatening him with the white angel alliance. Adrius was confused as to what the white angel alliance was, so he took the man’s soul and found a good place and started to soul search it.
‘ Interesting, so this alliance is students getting together to survive. It is quite big, actually around 200 members.’ Thought Adrius after the soul search.
He thought of the 200 badges that were to be taken, in the past days he started to see humans as badges and prey. He liked chasing his victims and giving them a false sense of hope and then killing them in the most cruel way. He has found himself in the past days, he was a predator and not a prey.
He looked at his badge and it had the number 100 on it, in the past 4 days he has killed a lot of people and 99% of people he met have died.
He thought about the idea of going to the white angel alliance and killing them all but then he discard the idea it was just too risky. And he had a matter he wanted to complete which was killing Kyle.

He then slept for the night and woke in the morning, it was the seventh and the last day of the exam.
Adrius started looking for Kyle, he was sure that he was with Pax by now. And if Pax wanted to stop him he would kill him too.
After some time he heard fighting noises, he went to them and saw people fighting. There were 4 people, 3 of them Adrius recognized at the first glance. They were Pax,Kyle and Emilia, his annoying neighbor. The fourth person Adrius didn’t recognize, and he didn’t care actually because she died the moment he was there. And Emilia was alone against two, Adrius thought about it for a second and decided to join. He made a dark arrow out of thin air and released it against Kyle.
Kyle was fast enough to doge he then screamed:” Get out and fight you bitch”
“Ohh, I’m also a bitch now?” Said Adrius in a cold tone while walking out
Kyle and pax’s face went pale:” A.. Adrius what are you doing here?” Asked Pax
Adrius answered with a laugh:” To collect my debt, isn’t it obvious?”
Pax’s face went paler: “ But we had a deal!”
“I don’t care about the deal. I will kill him today whether you like it or not. If you interfere then I will kill you too.” Threatened Adrius
Adrius then looked at Emilia she was standing watching, she was really beautiful, she has long blonde hair and blue eyes, Adrius found something familiar about her but then he remembered: ‘ I see her every day for fuck sake of course she would look familliar’
Emilia then opened her mouth and spoke: “ Adrius do you want me to interfere?”
Adrius looked at her and answered: “ Don’t even think about it, understood?”
Emilia shook her head to acknowledge the statement.
Adrius then looked at the two and drew his sword and started to run at them.
Kyle charged also while screaming: “ Who the fuck do you take me for, I will definitely kill you” Pax also drew his weapon and charged at Adrius, Adrius activated shadow step and started to clash with them. He was very thankful for the Caseo family for training the original owner and now Adrius has all of his experience in fighting. The clashing of metal was heard throughout the forest, Adrius had a lot of cuts on him while the two did not have any.
‘This is the hardest fight I ever had in my life!’ Exclaimed Adrius in his head, he then took out a healing potion and drank it. All the cuts were healed and Adrius got his power back. Finally after some time Kyle was hit with the sword and cut a piece of his skin, Pax’s face went pale and screamed:” Kyle heal yourself fast there is poison in the weapon” But before Kyle can do anything he fell to the ground twitching and screaming like a crazy person.
Pax was distracted for a minute and that all Adrius needed, he immediately stabbed Pax in the heart, Pax then looked at Adrius and Emilia and a flash of understanding came into his eyes. Before he died he hugged Adrius and whispered: “ Long blonde hair and blue eyes” He then fell to the ground. Hearing that Adrius realised something, he started to turn but then a sharp pain surged in his chest area, he looked down and saw the tip of a sword coming out of his right chest. He then heard a voice behind him: It was your fault for not following me” He then turned his head and looked at Emillia that was holding the sword, he then opened his mouth and said something that made Emilia’s face go pale.
