《Magus Of Darkness》Chapter 66: Departure

Their visit was coming to an end, it has been 1 week in the Trant family estate. And it was almost time for them to get back to the academy.
Adrius has done a lot of things in the past week, he has talked with several important people in the family and started to plant some ideas in their heads. Ideas that could benefit him, maybe not directly, but it could help him in the future.
The good thing about the Trant family is that their magus really don’t care about their mortal family. The only people they care about are the people who have magical talent and themselves.
So Adrius was safe from the magus. He also used Hadith in the past few days, he ordered him to go and train with the soldiers and try to make friends with them. So he could bring him any rumors and news about the Trant family.
He has summoned Hadith from the FireBird city before he came to the Trant family. He was perfectly safe, no one other than official magus, rank 3 magus apprentice and a Grand Knight could hurt him.
And Hadith has proved his usefulness, he has brought him a lot of rumors and gossip about the family.
He also thought of visiting the FireBird city after they depart from the Trant family. He got a message that says, Blood Raven syndicate has taken over the underground world of the FireBird city. And he wants to go there to see it himself. And also to seduce Veronica more, he will tell her that he missed her terribly and he came to see her.
He also got an idea on how to control her when the time comes for him to kill her family. He didn’t like the idea but it is necessary. He has to impregnate her, he has to make her believe that he loves her so much that he wants to have a child with her.

She was still young, if his logic is sound, then she is almost 15 now. She can certainly bear a child.
Of course if the child has magical talent, then he would take it. Train it, be a father to it. And then when they are strong enough, he can use their blood and magic to make him stronger.
It was known throughout the universe that blood magic is one of the strongest forms of magic. That is why it is mostly banned in the magus world. The magic was strong, but the sacrifices it needed were very heavy, like the blood and magic of a direct descendant of the blood of a million mortals and so on.
The Demons of the demon worlds were masters in blood magic. That was also another reason why the magus world annihilated their world. They were just too dangerous.
Also Blood magic and Bloodline magic are not the same, blood magic uses blood sacrifice to make the person stronger. As for the bloodline magic, it uses other creatures' bloodline and fuses it in the magus’ bloodline. And the purer their bloodline becomes, the less human or any other race they become. And at some point in cultivation if their bloodline is pure enough they will gain the ability to transform to the creature they took the bloodline from.
Bloodline magic was banned in the magus world, and if any magus discovered that someone is using it. Then magus from both light and dark paths will start hunting the Warlock.
Everyone will lay their own disagreement or feuds aside just so they can kill the warlock.
The hate the magus have for warlocks is a mystery that has bugged the magus world for thousands of years. No one knew why the magus of old started to hate the warlocks and started to hunt and kill them.

Because there were stories and books that indicated that warlocks and magus lived in harmony.
And the reason why magus started to hunt and kill warlocks is still a mystery.
Finishing his meditation Adrius stood up and went to start his day, after all, life doesn’t stop.
Today was the day of departure, they would head to the Firebird city for a couple of days then go back to the academy.
He was now rank 3 magus apprentice, so his missions will take more time. There are missions that take years to finish.
Missions like spying or infiltrating, and there are even missions that order him to take over a city and make it a part of the raven academy.
Breaking his thoughts, he wore his black magus robe, put on his mask and went out of the room. Hadith was waiting outside carrying his things.
“It is time” Adrius said while bypassing Hadith.
Hadith followed behind without making a sound. The only sound was his metal armor clanking and the sound of his steps. Hadith is a big man, so by default, when he moves he makes a lot of sounds because of how heavy he is.
After all, his muscles aren’t all for show. Getting to the courtyard Adrius was met with the Trant family members saying goodbye to each other.
Illyan was trying hard to hide her tears, her mother was doing the same. As for Jon he wore a stonic expression.
But Adrius knows that the moment Jon is alone he will start crying, after all, Illyan is the only sibling he has left. And now she is traveling with a monster, as he says.
Adrius walked to them, they bowed to him, he nodded and said: “ Thank you for inviting us here, I hope to maintain a friendly relationship with the Trant family”
Jon answered to Adrius’ surprise, he thought his mother would answer for him: “ It was our pleasure, Your Highness. We would also be in a friendly relationship with Your Highness. Also you have gained our friendship by saving my sister and bringing her to us.”
Adrius chuckled a little: “ Oh don’t worry about that, after all your sister is working under me. So her safety is my responsibility. Now I have to say goodbye, because our flight has just arrived.”
The moment he finished, people heard something descending down. It was an airship with the black raven sigil.
The airship landed and Adrius went to the door, opening it, he called for Illyan: “ Illyan, come on, we have a very long journey in front of us.”
Illyan hugged her mother one more time and went to the ship. Knowing that this might be the last time she sees her family. Because the person she is traveling with is unpredictable.
Looking back, she saw her mother give her an encouraging smile: ‘ Oh, mother, you won’t smile if you know what kind of monster I have offended’
