Chasing After My Wife Chapter 189

Travis didn't know whether to laugh or cry in this situation. 'Nobody told me she'd be this clingy.' He thought and chuckled internally while trying to comfort her.
"I'm sorry. I thought you'd be fine here since this is my house. Dad told me you've been here a couple of times when I we haven't met. I didn't expect you'd be afraid." He spoke to her softly while gently patting her back. "I won't do it again."
Jillyanna was still hiccuping while hugging him. She just didn't know why she's being emotional and she sometimes hated herself for it. She was unreasonably sensitive and Travis never argued with her.
"Am I being unreasonable? Am I just too sensitive? Am I becoming a burden to you?" She asked him consecutively as she wiped her face on his shirt.
Travis held on to her shoulders and leaned over her so that they'd be eye-level with each other. "Jill, it's normal that you are being sensitive due to pregnancy. It's normal to be scared specially with the event yesterday. It's normal if you'd be angry that I wasn't here. No matter what you do, don't ever think you're a burden to me. We're in this together and I will be with you every step of the way. I will understand you no matter how unreasonable you may sound to yourself."
With his words, Jillyanna cried a bit more. She was just so happy hearing his words. She didn't even know that they'd come this far after all the escape plan she made.
"I am sorry for causing you trouble again. I didn't really mean to get myself involved in this mess." She responded to him between hiccups and sobs.
"I know. It wasn't your fault. Don't worry about it. I am not upset. In fact, I am proud that you helped the students." He whispered to her while he continued to rub her back. "Let me help you take a bath since I caused your pain."

Hearing his last statement, her sobbing stopped and she started to blush again. The sound of their flesh touching each other, his naked body in front of her, his sweet lingering kiss and all the things he did were as clear as day in front of her. It did erase the bad memories of her kidnapping but it made her feel embarrassed in front of him.
"I'll take care of myself. You might do something again and I might end up in bed for a week." Jillyanna retorted with her flustered face.
Travis laughed faintly seeing her bashful expression which made her throw a fierce glare at him instead. "No need to be shy. I won't do anything today. I know when to stop and be considerate."
"Just make sure that you won't do anything to me at all or I'll never let you do it ever again."
"I promise. I will wait until you recover." Travis responded to her with a huge grin on his face. The horrified look on her face threw him into another fit of laughter.
"Stop making fun of me! You are such a bully."
"Alright. I will stop bullying you now. I'll just bully you next time when your waist and legs aren't sore anymore."
Jillyanna couldn't take his teasing anymore and slid under the bed again. With her aching waist and thighs, she groaned in pain and bit her lips. Her lashes were wet from the tears she was trying to hold back. She just stopped crying and she didn't want to cry again.
Travis removes the blanket from her and carried her off to the bathroom. Instinctively, she wrapped her arms around his neck and rubbed her face on his chest. "Warm."
"Of course I am and if you keep on doing that, I'll be hot in no time." Travis told her, stopping her from making another movement. "By the way, your family is currently in the living room."

"Okay. I'll come and see them after eating. I'm famished." Jillyanna told him while he removed her clothings and placed her under the shower head.
He changed the water temperature and started bathing her. She only lifted her arms once to let him scrub her body and nothing more. She was like a baby who was taken care of properly by her parent.
"I asked Savannah to buy me some aroma oil for a massage. Check which scent you like the best and I'll give you a massage later." Travis spoke while putting a shampoo on his palm to wash her hair.
"Why do I need a massage?" Jillyanna asked with her eyes closed, afraid that bubbles would reached her eyes and sting. "Oh, you mean for my back and waist." She added when she realized the reason why.
"Hn. We need to take care of your waist and back specially that you are pregnant." Travis admitted before rinsing her hair. He didn't mind that he was getting wet with the water and cold started seeping on his skin as long as Jillyanna was fine and she get to take a bath and wash the sticky feeling from her body.
"Travis?"
"Hn?"
"I just realize that you're taking care of me everyday but I didn't do anything to repay you. I even caused you trouble from time to time. Don't you think I'm bothersome?"
"Here you go again. Why are you so pessimistic? The choice of staying with me is the best payment you can give. If you leave me, that's what I'll say as bothersome."
"You don't regret the choice you made?"
"Why should I? I regretted the times I lost because of what I did in the past and I won't let it happen again."
"You are so nice that I'm thinking I don't deserve you. Sometimes, I- ahw! Why did you knock my head?" She glared at him while rubbing her forehead.
"I am only nice to those people I care about. Stop thinking of negative things, it will affect the baby." He turned off the shower and grabbed her bathrobe for her. "And Jill, I love you and the our baby. Now and forever, that fact won't change."
