Chasing After My Wife Chapter 192

Travis thought he heard her wrong. He put his hands on her shoulders and pushed her a little so he can see her face.
"What did you say?" he inquired with a confused and disbelieving expression.
Jillyanna held his face with both her hands. She didn't try to look away this time. "Let's get married."
"Are you sure?" Travis asked again. He felt like it was really unbelievable for her to say those words.
Jillyanna started to get nervous upon seeing his reaction. It wasn't the face of someone happy to hear a positive answer for a proposal. Her heart turned cold and she put down her hands.
"Let me go." She uttered coldly which confused Travis even more. She slapped his hands away from her shoulder and tried to stand on her own.
She gritted her teeth to endure the pain on her back and waist. Travis tried holding hear to steady her balance but she swat his hands away. "Don't touch me."
"What has gotten to you? You just agreed to marry me seconds ago but you are angry now." Travis spoke in agitation.
"You don't look happy when I agreed to marry you! Just stop pretending already! What exactly is it that you want from me?!" Jillyanna yelled at him with tears in her eyes. "Your words were different but your eyes showed nothing of joy or happiness. You were just forcing yourself because of this child, right?"
Travis closed his eyes to calm himself. He wanted to get angry at her for judging him but he found no reason to. In fact she was right. It wasn't happiness that he felt when she agreed. He was confused and in disbelief.
"I wasn't happy because I thought I heard you wrong. One moment, I heard you said that you haven't thought of marrying me. That you needed time. And here you go dropping me a surprise. I wasn't sure if I was just hearing things. If I became happy and found out that you didn't say it, wouldn't I be disappointing myself? Just like you, I have things I worry about. I am worried that while I'm waiting, you'd think I don't deserve a chance and would suddenly leave. Do you know how scared I am to close my eyes when I am beside you? I am also afraid that you are no longer beside me when I wake up, which was the reason I always wake up before you. In this relationship Jill, you are not the only one who is afraid."

Jillyanna sat back on their bed and slid under the blanket. Her back hurts so much already and she could no longer take it. Her nose twitched and she felt like crying again.
Travis watched her and sighed heavily. Even though she's mad and would cry easily, she's easy to pacify as well as long as she felt your sincerity.
"Jill, are you really marrying me? You aren't joking are you?" Travis asked her which she nodded her head to confirm. Travis slid under the blanket with her and hugged her waist.
"Sorry for judging you." Jillyanna murmured while wiping her tears away. "Sorry for being emotional. Sorry for being over sensitive."
"I already told you that it's fine and I understand. No need to apologize." Travis whispered to her while kissing her head.
"Do you want to register our marriage first?" Jillyanna turned on her other side and faced him. "Wedding needs planning but registration can be done any day."
Travis smiled and kissed her forehead again. "Let's register our marriage once you recover. Now, take a rest because you've been hurting your waist and back."
"Sorry."
"I said you don't have to apologize to me. Just be good to yourself."
"Can you tell me a story to sleep?" Jillyanna mumbled on his chest. She snuggled closer to him to get some warmth.
"I don't have any stories. I'll just sing you to sleep."
"Okay."
Travis started singing a soft love song for her. It didn't even take ten minutes and she fell asleep already. "Sorry for causing you to feel insecure. I will do my best to keep you happy and safe." He murmured to the sleeping woman in his arms.
He slid out of the bed to talk to her family, real quick. He needed to get back to his room before she'd wake up and cry again.

"Where's Jillyanna?" Sky asked Travis immediately when he got down.
"She's sleeping. She got tired and fell asleep." Travis answered her. "I will be calling you mother from now on." He stated shamelessly which shocked everyone inside the room.
"What do you mean?" Sky and Alex asked him at the same time. Cielo on the other hand was grinning from ear to ear. Jenny felt relieved and happy at the same time. Thomas smiled like it was within his expectations. After all, he had been trying his best to match them, though it didn't work at first.
Travis recalled to them the events chronologically to make sure that he wasn't missing anything.
"We will register our marriage when she recovers. I will formally ask her hand for marriage when she's perfectly fine before getting a sealed certificate." he told them with a faint smile. "For now, I will focus on her recovery."
"Well, it is a great news. We will wait for her to recover and let's discuss this marriage again." Alex stated with genuine happiness.
"I am so looking forward to this. I will tell Lucian once I get back." Cielo commented cheerfully.
"Thank you so much for taking care of her. I am glad that you didn't give up on her." Jenny uttered before bowing deeply in front of Travis.
"No need to bow before me. I am thankful that you kept her company. You can focus on your studies now. Make her proud of you." Travis responded. "You should be calling me big brother now."
"Hn. I will do my best." Jenny answered with a smile.
Travis looked towards the second floor before looking back to them. "I have to go back inside."
"Go ahead. I know she'll find you the moment she opens her eyes. I have witnessed that already. No need to flaunt it again." Cielo waved her hand to let him go.
'That one night affair was very fruitful. Not only she got herself a baby that she wanted but a husband who will take care and love her, too.' Cielo thought while chuckling faintly to herself.
