Chasing After My Wife Chapter 223

"I don't need this." she deleted the recording from her phone when she got out from the building. Jackie was still sitting on the same broken chair while tossing a stone up and down on her hand.
"Are we going through with the plan?" Jackie asked Jillyanna and tossed the stone away from her.
"Hn. I'll leave it to you. Once you're done, come and find me at the hospital." Jillyanna answered. "You don't have to kill him. I don't want you to stain your hands with his blood."
"Alright. No killing then." Jackie mumbled before going back inside the old building. Jillyanna started walking back to the dark alley so that she can go back to her apartment and wash herself before going back to the hospital.
Half an hour after she left, a commotion erupted in the same dark alley that she passed by.
"Help! Help me! Help me!" a shout from a girl made the wandering people check what was going on. They found a man hovering over a girl who was thrashing underneath him.
"Bastard, let her go!" a middle-aged man hurled Mr. Guevarra away from Rylie who was shivering from shock and fear. He punched him again and again and found that he was unconscious. "What a scum!"
"Are you alright?" a woman from the crowd helped her stand and helped her put a jacket around her.
Rylie kept herself quiet, crying silently while shaking her head back and forth in the arms of the woman.
The men picked Mr. Guevarra harshly and brought him over to the open road. Someone had called the police already and they came to rescue the situation as soon as possible.
"What a good actress my twin is." Jackie commented who was watching from afar. She had to follow them from a long distance to make sure that her sister will be alright. Even though she knew Rylie can protect herself, she still won't take her life for granted.

The police officers took Mr. Guevarra and Rylie to the station but they couldn't get anything from her since she kept crying.
"The child must have been traumatized. Don't ask her so much. In any case, we saw how the man tried to assault her. She tried her best to defend herself and that was probably the reason why the man got cuts all over him." It was the woman who helped Rylie earlier. She came with them when she saw that the young girl was still shaking from fear.
While talking, another police officer came to them and borrowed the computer. "It is that man, the one who escaped this afternoon."
"Call Officer Seville right now and inform him that we caught the escapee." the officer informed his colleague before looking back to Rylie. "Don't worry dear, we will seek justice for you and since you are a minor, we won't have a public trial for this case."
Rylie nodded her head faintly and slowly stopped herself from crying. She answered their questions in a weak voice and told him how she wounded the man to defend herself.
After an hour of interrogation, Rylie was sent back to her apartment where her 'big sister' was crying from distress from not finding her. The officer who accompanied her was happy to see them being reunited once again.
"Be extra careful next time. Don't go out alone at night." the officer reminded them.
"Thank you officer." Rylie responded to him and turned to the lady who helped her. "Thank you auntie."
"No worries. You take a rest now. We will take our leave as well." the officer and the lady left them in front of an empty apartment room.
Rylie and Jackie watched them leave and when they were out of their sight already, the both of them smiled to each other.

"You are always the best in acting." Jackie commented to her twin sister.
"Of course, mistress had been training me in this field for years. I don't want her effort to be wasted." Rylie answered back. She removed the fake skin she was using and put it inside her bag.
The two of them left and went to find the hospital that Jillyanna was staying.
Jillyanna got back to the hospital around 10 o'clock in the evening. She didn't bother explaining to Hawk and Savannah why she stayed out longer than expected. They didn't ask her, too.
She sat beside Travis and hugged his waist again. "I miss you." she murmured to him while leaning her head on his bed. "I went out and took care of something for you." she whispered even though he can't hear anything. "I love you Travis."
"We took care of it already." Jackie said as she walked inside the room with Rylie.
Hawk and Savannah were stunned to find someone walking freely without their notice. The men outside were all lying on the floor and they didn't even hear anything.
"Who are you?" Savannah asked them in fear. For the first time in her life, she felt afraid and it was towards the young girls in front of her.
Jillyanna walked towards them and introduced the two women to Hawk and Savannah. "This girl is Jackie and this one is Rylie." she introduced them from her left to the right.
"How do you identify who's who? They both look the same." Savannah commented, shifting her gaze between the young girls.
"It is my secret. Anyway, even though this girls look young and harmless, I suggest that you don't look for a fight with them." she looked at the women beside her before looking back to Savannah and Hawk. "This woman is Savannah and this man is Hawk."
Jackie turned towards Jillyanna and whispered. "Are you intending to let them know about all your secrets?"
"I don't have a choice. I will do anything for my husband so it doesn't matter if they knew another secret from me." Jillyanna answered without blinking her eyes at all. "I forgot to tell Travis though."
