Chasing After My Wife Chapter 258

"Stop sulking over it. Just make sure to explain everything once he is fully recovered." Savannah spoke softly to her. She knew it could cause a misunderstanding between the couple and she was worried that Travis won't want to wake up again. But she didn't say it to Jillyanna. She didn't want burden her up with another painful thought.
At the same time, she also believed that Travis won't judge his wife without knowing the truth. Only their faith and love for each other could help them overcome this tricky situation.
"He was really awake?" Hawk asked Savannah to assure himself. "It wasn't my imagination?"
"He did wake up. Anyway, Auntie Fei will be bringing her food for dinner again so I'll buy food for us."
"Okay. Be extra careful."
"Yes sir!"
Savannah just reached the door when Jillyanna called to her. "Can you buy me lollipops or any sweet candies?"
"Sure. Any preferred flavors?" Savannah asked her.
"None."
"Alright." She left out of the room to grab food for dinner.
Cielo and Lucian came after few minutes that Savannah left. They were looking guilty and upset over something.
"Why are you guys looking like that? Are you really visiting me with those faces?"
They didn't answer her question but Cielo turned towards Lucian. "Can you step out for a while? I want to talk to her alone."
"What's this all about? Why are you being sneaky in front of me?" Still no one answered her. She lifted her hand and had her fingers touch-and-open together like it was talking to her. "Let me talk to myself then."
Cielo walked up to her slowly as if she was so hard to approach. She started to feel something wrong when she looked at her eyes - Cielo was avoiding her gaze.

"After all these years, are you feeling guilty now? You shouldn't be because you have the right to be upset or get jealous."
"What?" Cielo was dumbfounded with the things Jillyanna was saying. "Huh? Uhh..Huh? How did you know?"
Jillyanna sighed and stood up from her seat before walking towards the couch with Cielo following behind her.
"Sit down and let's talk. I can't believe I had to wait for a decade before you would talk to me about this." Jillyanna was so laid back with their topic since she knew it all along. She was wanted to hear it directly from Cielo.
"Have I been acting like a fool around you all these years?" Cielo asked, shaking from anxiety and fear. She knew that everything will be changed after this conversation.
"Not really. You were just being honest. Who wouldn't be upset if you were being compared to a nobody in your family? Why would you be jealous when they paid more attention to a nobody in your family instead of you? Why wouldn't you get mad when your husband lied to you because a nobody told him to do so? Why wouldn't you be jealous when people often say a nobody is smarter than you? I know all along that you were upset of my existence and it made you feel jealous. Over time, you started to accept the fact that you can't really get rid of me in your life and we became best of friends. However, two years ago, I started to see the same look of jealousy in your eyes. I guess it was when you found out that Lucian kept another secret from you because of me. Then, another secret was added and another layer and another, until it was towering and you didn't know if you could trust him again. You blamed me for that."

Cielo felt like her whole body became numb, like she was stripped naked in front of her. All along, she was exposed yet Jillyanna didn't say anything. She continued to act like there wasn't anything wrong. She continued to live her life like how she wanted it. Jillyanna never once blame her when she failed their business at some point. She didn't utter a single harsh words to her.
Cielo cried on her seat from being exposed by the person she's jealous of. "I'm sorry. I didn't really want to feel this way but I can't help it. I'm really sorry Yanna."
"Nope. You don't have to be sorry. In fact, I am thankful that you finally found yourself some courage and talk to me about this."
"Aren't you angry that I blame you and that I was jealous of you?"
"Why should I be angry? It is true that I took your parents from you. It is true that Lucian lied to you because of me. So, I don't have the right to get angry."
Cielo cried even more. She was so useless and foolish for harboring such evil thoughts against Jillyanna when she actually got no one beside her. Jillyanna was all alone and she didn't even tell them that she found kids overseas and make them her siblings.
'Did she find the siblings she was looking for in them, that she couldn't find from me? Is that why the seemed rather closer compared to me? Was I really unreliable? She even found Jenny. She must have really wanted a sibling but I didn't give it to her.' Her thoughts were adding fuel to her pain and she couldn't stop herself from crying.
"Stop crying and don't feel bad about it. It's really nothing to me." Jillyanna tried comforting her but that was the only thing she could say.
"I'm sorry."
"I forgive you already a long time ago so stop crying and wipe your tears and snots. Geez! You're messy!" Jillyanna exclaimed and teased her while handing the tissue to her.
"Did you eat dinner already?" Cielo asked her to change their topic. "Maybe we could eat together."
"Thanks for the offer but I can't. Auntie Fei will be here soon with my food. Travis didn't want me to eat anything else but those dishes."
"I see. Then, I will see you again next time. Come home when you have time as well."
"Sure. I'll take a rain check." Jillyanna watched Cielo go out of the room. A faint smile formed in her lips.
"Jillyanna?" Cielo's head was popping at the door. "You are not a nobody. You are my sister. Bye now."
